To me this seems very harsh.
The guy inherits the greatest train wreck in NFL history, goes 4-3 (I think) and then gets sacked as both interim HC and DC?
If it were Buffalo, I'd be pretty disappointed.
Tyreek Hill speed, Deandre Hopkins hands and Julio Jones athleticism would be a hell of a prototype IMO.
Heck, anything would be an upgrade over lardass KB.
Yep, exactly what Beane said on the John Murphy show yesterday. Said that we will go BPA and that we won't reach, and that he will try to offload the pick / trade down if he doesn't like what he sees at 9.
With the exception of Benjamin, Beane appears to be quite adept when it comes to selection and signing up of low draft picks and free agents. This is another good move IMO. Happy to have Barkley on board.
Its pretty clear that Josh will continue to get solid numbers running the ball, but thats not why we drafted him. We also know he is not blessed with talented receivers and tight ends. With that in mind - when do we finally get to see him pass for 300 yards?
I dont think it will happen this year. I am fairly confident it will happen early next season.
It would be interesting to see what everyone else thinks.
All i care about is how quick he is and whether he can get separation. Half our WR's have anchors tied to their feet.
Hopefully he is over his injuries. I wish him well.
I honestly thought he was serviceable for 3 and a half quarters and not bad for a guy who hadn't played in a while.
The 2 picks in the last 5 minutes obviously put a bad complexion on the overall performance.
I'm expecting a slight improvement next week as he becomes more familiar with the playbook. Nothing earth shattering of course.
