  1. The Bengals will return the favour this time around. No Brown dice.
  2. Who would have predicted that he would have 11 receptions from 12 targets? That is a fantastic return from a part-time wide receiver.
  3. "Hope I get my gold jacket before everyone realises it was all Brady"
  4. What about Butler, Addison and Hughes - how much space would that create?
  5. Heck, I agreed 100% with you before you even posted:
  6. I wonder what our team sack total is this season? I am guessing we are bottom 10 in the NFL. It needs to improve.
  7. Happy with both the predictions and especially the outcome - Josh was fantastic today!
  8. Dawkins in for Star out is a net gain IMO.
  9. Merry Christmas all!! I just want two things: - good health to my nearest and dearest - a non-monetary wish to be fulfilled within the next, say - 36 hours!
  10. McD being outcoached is a given, but there is no shame in that. He just has to coach competently - no wasted time outs, going for it on 4th and short in the Pats half, no stupid challenges, better clock management etc. Beane needs to build a well-rounded roster with extra emphasis on offense to marry up with the talent he spent $258 million on. He can see where the weaknesses are, he just has to cut the dead wood, nail the draft (where he has recently missed a few) and make one or two BIG free agent signings. Daboll needs to be less vanilla and more creative, although he is a bit limited with our OL - especially this week.
  11. Bills 24 Pats 21 I have a feeling that Josh delivers a performance for the ages with 3 TD's, 0 INT's and 400 yards of offence. It's going to be lovely!
  12. His point remains valid - dummy or not. I just hope he is cleared to play Sunday.
  13. Playoff geeks - does the Browns loss help us if we fail to beat the cheats?
  14. Great write up again Freddie! It's quite sad if you think about it....Beane really wanted him in that draft, then thought he missed out on him to another team who then took another guard, then Beane got his guy. And then who could forget how emotional Ford got when he knew the Bills drafted him? I'm probably dreaming or deluded but maybe something clicks next year - however it's looking more and more unlikely.
  15. "Build Back Better" - a meaningless catchphrase if ever there was one
  16. Devin is a serviceable RB, we just need to upgrade a couple of OLinemen to get more out of him.
  17. If Trubisky does play, I would be fairly confident that he would be a better version in a Buffalo jersey than a Chicago one.
  18. I would rather the Colts beat the Pats and risk missing the playoffs altogether if it means we have a shot at winning the division. We just need to win the games we should win, and then it boils down to an even-money bet against the Pats. It all starts with a big confidence boosting win against Carolina.
  19. Who are the ins and outs / inactives? EDIT - I see it above
  20. We've been heading south since the KC game. Must be hitch-hiking.
  21. I think we are a little soft but I would also say there is an element of fear and an inability to make big plays in pressure moments that we were much better at last year. Of course, the biggest problem is the O-line and a limited OC.
  22. I would also give Dawkins the benefit of the doubt given his new contract and any potential lingering COVID issues. But yeah - the guys playing on the interior should be well and truly be placed on notice.
  23. This one was like an unexpected gut punch, followed closely by a kick in the Christmas decorations. I may recover in time to see Fournette and Brady skewer us on Sunday like an Afghan goat on a spit.
  24. Looking at the schedule, the safe way to make the playoffs is obviously to win out. But I can't see a set of circumstances where that happens. This team is psychologically beaten. They cannot win the close games or beat contenders. So that probably rules out wins over Tampa and NE. 10-7 is now the ceiling. And with the poor conference record, it probably won't be enough. If - and that's a big if - we could beat NE, and the Colts could beat NE in Indy, then theoretically we could still win the division - even with a loss to Tampa. But the way I am feeling at the moment, I wouldn't be too upset if we missed the playoffs and got a higher draft position to help strengthen a few obvious weaknesses. I simply don't see the point in limping into the playoffs and just making up the numbers. Better to re-load and go again next year with wide eyes open.
  25. In the pre-game thread I said we needed Dabolls best game plan and good execution. I'd argue that we might have got Dabolls worst and the execution was poor. We laid a rotten egg. !@#$ I'm pisssed.
