  1. Further proof - if any was required - that there has never been a more kissed on the digit franchise in the history of team sports than the Pats.
  2. Thanks again for another detailed analysis Freddie! The guy can clearly play, it's just a matter of him staying the course and putting in the work at practice. Baker Mayfield was the number 1 draft pick and Cody was his guard in an Oklahoma team that only just lost to Georgia in the final 4 - he was not a dud guard then and I don't believe he is one now. I made the mistake of writing Edmunds off a little early, I won't be repeating the same mistake with Ford. We don't need him to be all-pro, we just need him to "do his 1/11th".
  3. Saints.....7 Bills.......13 An ugly W trumps a sexy L.
  4. This is the best analysis I have ever seen on TBD. That view is quite possibly exacerbated a little by the excitement I feel in that maybe - just maybe - Cody could become a legitimate starting-level guard in the NFL. It's already happened with Edmunds who I feel has gone up a notch or two this year, so here's hoping it can happen again with another proclaimed 'bust'. Great work Freddie!
  5. No doubt he will feel morally obligated to start paying back that deal by playing out of his skin against his next opponent.
  6. Taken with pick 74 and has around 5 YPC behind a bad O-line. He might not be elite or a home run hitter but objectively he cannot be put into the bust category IMO.
  7. My guess on his core roster management philosophy is that he likes draft picks over trades because he believes it helps make his job of managing the salary cap easier. Cheap 4-year contracts which won't get extended if he thinks he isn't getting a suitable return on investment.
  8. If we lose 3 of our last 7 we would be 10-7.
  9. The Basham over Creed Humphrey decision showed a lack of foresight for mine. However, it may well be that McD and Frazier took that decision out of his hands to an extent. Either way, the O-line is criminally bad, the DT's are not tough enough and the DE's lack explosiveness. I am happy with the LB's and the DB's. On offense, we could do with another type of RB, although I think Singletary could do a lot more behind a good run blocking O-line. I am confident that Davis will become a legit WR2 in time.
  10. jonathan taylor will equal the record for most consecutive 100 yd rushing games (8) if he rushes for 100 yds this week - can we keep him under 100?
  11. Despite the verdict, I think Rittenhouse's life will not be easy and may indeed be ruined. I feel genuinely sorry for the kid.
  12. Pukester.
  13. Best 6th-rounder ever!!* *Does not include he who shall not be mentioned
  14. I say yes if - and only if - the O-line can play at a serviceable level each week.
  15. Where is John McEnroe when you need him...
  16. Didn't Sleepy Joe throw oil onto the bonfire by starting the whole "he's a white supremicist' line? And further to that, if the kid is found innocent and the verdict leads to Antifa-style riots, wouldn't the president therefore be at least partially responsible for those riots? So you think it's Ok for a guy to beat someone over the head with a skateboard whilst a convicted kiddie-fiddler makes repeated threats to kill you? Not sure what point you are trying to make.
  17. Lemme see if I have this right: A white drug addict, confusing his skateboard for a Louisville Slugger and a convicted white child molester (you know - the guys that stick their digits into innocent kids) who threatens on multiple occasions to kill a minor, so that the minor is forced to defend himself against the aforementioned lowlifes - and the lunatic left are labelling the minor a murdering white supremicist? Is that it? If so, would I be out of line for saying "only in (Biden's) America"?
  18. I have been a harsh critic of his and was underwhelmed by his play in his first 3 years. Remember we traded up to pick 16 and he was nowhere near that level. But I think he has definitely gone up a notch this year. If he could improve at the same rate by the end of the year then I would like to see him get a contract extension.
  19. Mac Jones might well be a dink and dunk QB but if he gets into the red zone he has two very good, big tight ends who our DB's will struggle with - that is my biggest concern, along with BB's ability to target our offensive weaknesses. The AFCE will go down to the wire.
  20. Beating up on this guy would be akin to beating your great-grandmother in an arm wrestle and claiming world champion status.
  21. What this Rittenhouse kid has been through is a travesty. This case should have been thrown out on its ear long ago once the video footage was available. That is now two disgraceful cases of leftist hate (the Covington kid being the other) where if it wasn't for critical video footage we may well have had two innocent kids with their lives ruined for no good reason.
  22. I like Simms but he is simply not up to speed with all the facts. He did not mention the O-line ONCE in that diatribe...the problem is not the lack of "game changing" WR's, he failed to mention that Knox is injured and it wouldn't matter a jot if we had prime Thurman as one of our RB's as you can not have a respectable run game behind that O-line. And Josh's mistakes were incorrectly identified as a root cause, rather than a symptom of our offensive struggles. Simms is usually a better analyst than this.
  23. Yeah well....it looks like he re-invented himself for a job at the local pool...
  24. I could have sworn we had one of those guys. If only I could remember his name...
