Another example of McD pushing the right buttons. Taking away the "starting" position and limiting snap counts through the middle of the season sent the right message and Ed has responded.
@eball And, not that we can confirm this was McD's theory, but limiting his mid-season snaps has probably left more "juice" in Oliver's tank, for the stretch run. Whether planned or not, I like the results!

So, so thankful! This team is just so easy to love. I fear nobody. I'm not saying SB... But I feel like this team has the mentality, the tenacity, the brotherhood, the coaching, and the talent (for sure on Defense; getting there on Offense) to put up a good fight with any playoff opponent.
Cannot wait to go into Foxborough, and mash those fools... Better eat a ton of avocado toast, and have your witch wife sacrifice some fattened calves, Tommy Pantywaist... You'll need all that and then some to best this FAM!

Beane and McD need to draft 90% offense this offseason
outside of small signings we have ignored the offense for the last 3 years, need to make it a high priority and sign big time playmakers.
The only two starters on offense in 2018 that are starting this year are Josh Allen and Dion Dawkins... you say they ignored the offense??? ?
Did you mean we ignored the #1 Wide Receiver position? Not sure about this take.

Did you check their credentials? Are you sure they weren't "rogue" operatives sent by the Patriots to steal our tailgating secrets?
They could never, no matter how many secrets they steal, party like Bills fans. Takes soul to be a part of the Bills Mafia. Pat****s fans got no soul!

Wait... Do you mean... the Patriots did not get every single call to go their way this week? Dear sweet baby Jesus, shall we cancel Christmas? Ought we write a petition to Robert Kraft to re-open his wallet to the refs? Should we switch from New England to Manhattan Clam Chowder, in hopes that in doing so, Bellycheat's radio-signal jamming system starts working again?
I am aghast... What ever shall I do?

Tre is always studying. Great student of the game. Even takes breaks, during the game, to study. That's a McProcess guy, if ever there was one!

How many of those yards that last drive were not via penalty?
How many of those penalty yards were make-up calls for the blown PI the refs missed against Foster?

I’m emotional. Allen sucked, the receivers mostly sucked too. The Ravens are better in every category and we should thank the refs for some of those points today because they kept drives alive that were snuffed out.
Yeah, big thanks to the refs for the non-call on that pass interference against Foster that would have resulted in excellent field position...
Oh, wait... that call snuffed out points we would have scored... I'm sorry...

There could be opportunity up the middle. Ravens aren’t good at C or LG. Playing backup level players at both spots. Their LT and RG are all pro level. ..but RT Orlando Brown Jr, similar to our RT, is better vs the run than in pass pro.
That's good news, @YoloinOhio! Oliver will be licking his chops, like:

My point was more about McDermott’s comments. Coaches/GMs like to go with the tried and true “we are happy with the guy we have”.
I liked Jackson going into that draft and would have been happy had he been the Bills choice, again not to disparage Josh Allen. I had paid more attention to Jackson in college because he is a local kid. I didn’t want the other Josh and had mixed feelings about Mayfield and Darnold.
Read some of the other comments, people are still talking about Wonderlick scores for God sake.
I do think that a small part of it is that McBeane sensed the Buffalo vibes around a Tyrod Taylor Esque QB, and didn't want to put us through that, again. Prior to the draft, Lamar was likened to Taylor, Vick, and (ironically) RGE III. This is just utter speculation, but I feel as though McBeane didn't want to re-introduce a system like that. Again... complete speculation, but I thought I'd toss it into the conversation.

Come on, @Augie
Let's do it the right way, and start a poll to see if we should turn to the poll to decide.

Haha, I just think he's a good story, but not a realistic option. Singletary looks like he is capable of being the lead RB, so i'd draft another guy in the 3rd Round to go with him. Seems to be the sweet spot for running backs.
Word. I can agree with that.
(But I still saw some magic, on the few runs he had. We can always hope, right?)

I am 100% sleeping on Christian Wade. I would honestly be shocked if he made the team next year.
You must be either:
1) A Buffalo Bills coach
2) Stealing Belichick's tapes illegally filmed Bills practices
3) Crazy

I'm sure RB will be high on the list. I cant believe Yeldon hasn’t seen the field. Shows what they think of him!
Don't sleep on Christian Wade, stashed away as the 11th man on the practice squad through the International Player Program. Wade made a couple of mind-bogglingly electrifying plays in pre-season, and you had better believe he's been soaking in everything, like a sponge, while riding the pine.
So, for next year we have Singletary: a Barry Sanders type (without the breakaway speed); Christian Wade: an untapped talent with moves and quickness that have translated to the NFL, albeit in limited snaps; and T.J. Yeldon: a very good pass-catching back, with a smidge of fumbleitis.
Gore is most likely not returning--although I wouldn't bet against Frank, if he wants to come back; many have, and he's made a career of proving doubters wrong--so what we may want to consider in the draft is a A/B gap pounder with great blocking skills. These are the kind of backs you can find in the 4th through 7th rounds. They aren't sexy, and they tend to drop because of it. Knowing McBeane's penchant for picking players who play multiple positions, you have to believe this type of player will have to be able to log some special teams snaps, as well.
So, that's my theory: we pick up a bruiser-type back who is solid in pass protection, and can play or is willing to play special teams, on the 3rd day of the draft.

Simple, really.

Sports Illustrated MMQB features an article about "Takeaways From the NFL on Thanksgiving." Josh Allen and the Bills are each referenced once in the subhead, but the body of the article makes no mention of any Bills player, and the only reference to the team is one use of the words "the Bills" is in a link to the game stats.
There is a section at the every end of that article that actually names some Bills players, but basically, it just says that the author likes Daboll's use of schemes to cover Allen's shortcomings, and that there was a cool trick play that got us a TD... now that's the kind of reporting that deserves the big bucks, SI... nice job *slow clap* ?
