Just a note: in the last Mock I ran, prior to the draft starting, I had Dane Jackson (CB - Pitt) as my 2nd pick in the 6th. I do like him as a zone corner in McBeane's system. I mean... 7th rounder. Not expecting a ton, but I saw the fit.
@GunnerBill The Colts figured that they can combine the three picks into one human, and that he'll be three times the player as the individuals they would have taken...
4D Chess, bud ?
You know what the worst thing, ever, is?
Working Saturday of the draft, and only being able to check the boards on short, short, short breaks...
Only sport thing in four months, and I'm working... Failblog...
Don't fret, @Buffalo Barbarian, Chuckie's plan is to try and convert him to a WR. When he doesn't make the cut, out of camp, old Beaner will get on the horn and trade Chuckie a bowl of dried beetles for him. Trust. The. Process.
Yes: He will dig up some rule from 1917 that allows TE's to lift up the QB on their shoulders, so they can have a clear line of sight downfield, and make an unobstructed pass, ha ha!
I feel like all the mock draft simulations were just whetting everybody's appetites, making us all think that player "A" or player "B" will be there in Round "X+3" (a.k.a. Three rounds late than they actually will be there).
