Bryce Love to the Skins. In the 4th. I had a few folks from this board argue against me that Love would last to the 6th or 7th. I hate to say I'm right, but... proof is in the pudding, gents. THAT is why you take your guy before someone else does. It also helps put the Singletary pick into perspective, and makes me even happier that we snagged him when we did. Wishing Love the best; I wanted him. Glad the Patsies missed on him.

Miami: Acquires QB Josh Rosen

@Binghamton Beast I predict he will be traded for AJ McCarron prior to next year's draft, ha ha! -
RD 2, Pick 38: OT Cody Ford, Oklahoma

I'm down with this pick. Ford plays mean, and that Sooner line kept two straight #1 QB's upright and clean. -
Who’s the ONE guy that you want in this draft?
ROCBillsBeliever replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel like a lot of the buzz for Hock is being generated by recency bias: we all want a Gronk, now that he has retired. We all want to beat the Pats, and so we think that we can just find a Gronk and we will win... Don't be fooled by recency bias; look at all the posts and comments that have been made about hit rates of 1st round TE's, and look at the NFL landscape, littered with 3rd through 6th round all-pro TE's. I'm not saying Hock won't be good. I'm saying that history shows that many great TE's have been found in the mid-to-later rounds. My pick: Ed Oliver. How do you beat Tom Brady? Pressure up the gut. And people will grill.me because "Tom Brady is retiring soon." I dont want him to retire... I want Tom Brady eating a fresh plate of turf 4-6 times a season, due to the handiwork of one Ed Oliver. I want whiny boy Patsie to be afraid of our D line, and Oliver is the kind of beast to make that happen. My vote is cast. -
Case against first round TEs

We shall all expire, my friend. Take heart, though... there's always next year ??? -
THIS JUST IN! Draft experts predict 25 players to go in the top 10 of the 2019 NFL Draft! Obviously, I'm being sarcastic, but if you take all of the "Player X will go in the top Y" trash that's out there, this is, essentially, what you get... What that means to us? Some great players WILL fall. Some also-rans will be over-drafted. We can get all flustered about it, or we can trust the process, or we can ignore it. I pick option #2.

What are your plans for watching the draft?

Duff's in Henrietta (i.e. Rochester, NY) with some of my co-workers and family. Wings (blue cheese, of course...) and pitchers of beer. -
@mannc okay... I guess one of the 30 official visits doesn't constitute as interest... https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2019/3/22/18269766/2019-nfl-draft-buffalo-bills-top-30-pre-draft-visit-tracker-rumors-notes You think they didn't gun for Robert Foster or Levi Wallace in UDFA? McBeane is ruthless in pursuit of talent... This ain't the Doug Whaley show, bucko. It's a new regime.

Hear me out on this bit of speculation: Bryce Love: -4 year starter (McBeane loves them some seniors). -ACL injury = maybe we can attach him on IR. -ACL injury = buy low (4th or 5th round) -If we can IR him, he trains, prepares, and learns under two of the best RB'S in history. I think this move to sign Yeldon has no impact on taking Love. It MAY preclude taking a back who would require a roster spot. Therefore: Bills are gunning for Love. Just speculation.
-
I'm skeptical... isn't he too young to play RB for the Bills ?
-
@MrEpsYtown You beat me to it, but I agree!
-
I had heard somewhere (sorry; I cannot recall the source) that nobody has a reported meeting with Hock. That could mean that Hock and his agent are just not releasing the scoops, and they have requested that the teams they met with do the same. Just a theory; I may be totally incorrect.
-
Precisely, @Virgil Give me milquetoast drafts for the next decade! I'll take them over QB stressing and drafting for glaring needs!

The reality of what Beane is creating with the OL.

Not to mention that the left tackle isn't holding... it's called bear-hugging, and since it's an affectionate and loving embrace, the refs would never call such a thing on one of those dear, sweet followers of the Patriot Way. How could they, when the Patsies are such law abiding saints? -
Trade market for Rosen "soft"
ROCBillsBeliever replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh NOOOOOOOO!!! I totally thought that it was Graft all this time... I mean, aren't last names like Smith or Hatter supposed to be descriptive of an occupation? Robert's last name... well... I'll let a smarter entity (the internet) define Robert's last name: -

@HOUSE You mean, once the worst QB in the universe was off the table, nobody was gunning for the 2nd worst? ? -

Oh, you mean Ryan Gates: https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2018/06/wgr_producer_follows_through_on_quitting_due_to_buffalo_bills_drafting_josh_alle.html Quote from the article: "There are plenty of other examples of people backing out on promises on social media, but WGR-550's Ryan Gates is not going to add his name to the list. Gates announced on Monday that he'd be stepping down as producer of Schopp and the Bulldog and host of The Nightcap after promising to do so in the event the Buffalo Bills drafted Josh Allen with Baker Mayfield or Josh Rosen still on the board." I'd be willing to bet he's doing fine, though. Probably working in one of Robert Graft's (intentional misspelling) shadow corporations that buy refs, or maybe running a tug n pull parlor down in Boca Raton. Yeah... he's fine.
