You're right about the context being different, but the face of it (i.e. Bills fans complaining about a DE with an injured shoulder that we spent resources on), I would argue, is the same. I mean, I'm just saying that we shouldn't complain about not getting Ansah because we've been through a similar situation before with a player we invested in. Ansah may not be the answer, here or in Seattle. Time will tell, though.

Tom Brady had some intel on that, but he "accidentally" threw his phone in a toilet... it's a travesty. Anyone remember how pissed this board got when Shaq pretty much was useless his whole first year, due to a... wait for it... wait for it... shoulder injury? And you all wanted Ansah on a 1-year? Those who did either have really short memories, are newbz to the board, or a straight up trolls.

Nope... McClappy didn't pick up Johnson... Wow... that's wrong on soooo many levels ????? -
“Still Miles Away” -Colin Cowherd

Blowhard Coward's take? How does he keep getting such cutting-edge intel? Was he in attendance at some high level business meetings, or does he have Russ Brandon on speed dial? Oh, wait, you say that Brandon DOESN'T work for the Bills anymore? Hate to break it to you, folks, Old Blowhard Coward is playing 4D chess; he's using deep intel from the Whaley regime to get these piping hot takes! ??? -
TBN: Way-too-early 53-man roster projection

Agreed. Knox or Fisher would work. -
Agreed. The Bills added more free agents than any team in the NFL because they knew they had a ton of holes. There are two solid potential DE's still on the market in Ansah and Clowney (and enough money to get the job done), and in the case of Ansah, we are awaiting a medical update on his shoulder, and yet... "We are #doomed!" "McBeane is ignoring DE!" "We don't have a plan! We are rudderless!" (Except, the slow-tards who believe these things wouldn't have the term 'rudderless' in their lexicon; nor would they know what a lexicon was if one slapped them in the face!). Come on, people! 1) McBeane has a plan! They always do. It doesn't always work, granted, but if you honestly believe they do not have a plan, go watch the Patsies... 2) Without an update yet on Ansah's shoulder, that plan is likely on hold. 3) McBeane has said, ad nauseam (yet another phrase the idiots who doubt McBeane have a plan probably cannot comprehend) that NOTHING IS GIVEN... not extending Shaq is a direct challenge to him: improve and you will earn a contract; rest on your laurels, and we will move on. Wake the EFF up, Haters! This isn't the last 20 years of regimes... these guys have a freaking plan! (P.S. I didn't get my coffee this morning, so I'm cranky... sorry.)

Bills/Jets Wk 17 New Era Field for Playoffs
ROCBillsBeliever replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Patsies took a punter with the No. 1 overall pick, the pundits would call it a historic moment when BB outsmarted the entire league... pundits are lap dogs to the Patsies, @ganesh; you should know better than to trust their judgement of the Cheater's draft, bud. -
Buffalo Bills Confirmed UDFA Signing. (2 Left)

I approve of this change! -
Now when he does that to a guy, AND sends him through a burning table, I'll be impressed. Until then, McBeane ruined the draft! We are #doomed! Wasted pick! I kid... I kid... Joseph was ranked much higher than he was selected by a solid majority of the draft media (for whatever that's worth). From the little tape I've seen, he is very fast, plays violent, and just needs to hone his focus and aggression into more quality plays. He also needs to put on a few pounds of good weight, but with that new training facility, the opportunity will be his for the taking. I expect a bit of a learning curve, too, in terms of diagnosing plays, but a player like Joseph is the direction that NFL LB's are taking: smaller, faster, coverage-capable guys. Have him learn under Milano, and I feel like he can be a really productive piece of this D.

RD 7, Pick 228: TE Tommy Sweeney, Boston College
ROCBillsBeliever replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
@PromoTheRobot I believe the colloquial Foxboro term you were looking for is "fekkin", but I'm no Beantown boy ??? -
Ha ha! No worries, man! No blood; no foul. From a talent standpoint, it's hard to say; Knox has some crazy metrics for his size. In terms of production, Butler wins out, hands down. Our TE cupboard was a lot more bare than our WR stable, though; that had to factor into it. Beane mentioned the drop off after Knox, on their board, was a prime reason they went for him.
