It's not really complicated.
They got rid of guys they had no attachment to creating a ***** ton of dead cap space.
They now have a roster of guys they want and aren't cutting players who were paid from the previous regime, hence not a lot of dead cap space.... whether that roster is actually good or not is yet to be determined.
I gotta hand it to you, that wasn't a directly negative post! Congratulations, and THANK YOU for being non-negative!

Honest talk... Is it worse that everything is going so well? I keep waiting for the damned bottom to fall out!
Or for ScottLaw to tell us that, statistically speaking, catches by our WR's and touchdowns by our offense, on the 3rd day of camp, when held at saint John Fisher, tend to correlate to poor performances in the regular season ?

That’s 2 WRs in 2 days the G-men have lost. Shepherd broke his thumb yesterday.
Sad news, on one hand, but perhaps an opportunity to unload some guys who won't make the team for future picks ?

Paying him millions under the table wouldn't come as a shock from this cheating franchise.
Millions of yanks under the table, tho? ?

It's the meaningless feel good time of year, stories like this do nothing but raise false hope IMO.
And you do nothing but mope, soooo, there's that.

Good. We don't want you there anyway.
It's going to be 88/89 on Saturday (and Sunday).
@Doc We can sweat off enough weight, so we can all slam a bunch of hi-test cold ones, after practice!
Or all suffer heatstroke; one or the other ?

You guys really want a pro tip from a Rochester lifer?
1) Put a bike rack on your car
2) Park on Beechwood Drive
3) Bike the 1 mile to training camp
Or
3) Walk 1 mile to training camp, and forget step #1

Dog, you ever had pickle soup?
Its like eating sex. With a woman.
This is the reason I enjoy this time of year: you learn valuable information about non-football. I've been living a lie, my entire life... I have never had pickle soup. I need redemption; a vinegar baptism, if you will ????

I need to wait for Ronin’s evaluation on Hyde before I can agree or not.
Summary of Ronin's Analysis:
He's crap because...

Film, which I swear I don't cherry pick--I'm above that, you plebians--and it's all McD's fault and should fall on their shoulders, and it's smart to listen to me and get new coaches every two years (so I can be right when the team never builds anything, and point back to my posts about being right).

I think that neither were good draft picks, Allen at 7th or Oliver at 9th. I'd have made different picks. In fact, I'd have had Wynn, Hilliard, and Risner on our OL right now and Drew Lock at QB, instead of those two for the same picks and I'd have gotten a couple of others too.
Hey, Mods: please pin for future crucifixion. Thanks!

Two interesting points: for all the flak that JA gets about being a Brett Favre clone, gun slinging wild west QB, his aggressiveness is right up there with... oh... Tom "Captain Conservative" Brady.
Secondly, WOW, Brock O, with the 2019 Timidity Award ???

Can't remember him ever making a big play. I would cut him after camp. If you don't cut him then I'd offer $25K per year and two autographed Zay Jones frying pans. Maybe the Jills could use him. Another Whaley blunder.
Zay Jones Frying Pans, you say? What are you willing to part with them for?

Meh...what else can he say at this point? Frank Gore had a better year with a worse O-line. Now he's going to split his touches with Gore and possibly a rookie.
On 6/14/2019 at 10:02 AM, Doc said:This is just flat out wrong. Miami was ranked 14th. The Bills were 30th.
Wait, @Doc , you haven't read @Mr. WEO's Revisionist History Lexicon? It's all written there, so it has to be true. I mean, the guy researches from his own textbook, religiously! He couldn't be wrong...

Meh, competition brings out some raw emotions. Can't judge the guy completely on one impulsive act during an NFL contest.
You can, however, judge a career goon to have been a career goon. Hockey has them. Football too. Gronk was an A+ goon on the field (see: "Rub" routes and Pick Plays):

Maybe last year had something to do with a rookie QB playing. And the Peterson debacle of course.
Beane admitted he did not handle the backup QB thing correctly last year. Should we perhaps flog him in public to meet the desires of some fans?
Hand @ScottLaw the bull whip... he would be elated.

Just blocking the Pat***** from getting a TE. McD is playing 4D chess and spying on high level business meetings in Foxboro, MA! Look out, Hoodie; we're coming for you.

Well, if you have a 5'8 WR creating 2-3 yards of separation you don't need to be 6'5.
I mean, they automatically have 3/4 of a foot of separation, right off the bat! Advantage: McD. ???

I took one of my friends to their first NFL game, and THAT masterpiece on ineptitude was it. We ended up having fun because we just got piss drunk, and started shouting "It's PETER-MAAAAN! Throw the Touchdown Ball, PETER-MAAAN!", and various iterations thereof...
Somehow, they are still, to this day, may friend, though I doubt they'll ever attend a Bills game, again. ?♂️
