  1. Pretty much. Different movie, SAME PLOT. All of the RPO stuff you saw working for the Eagles yesterday it's not going to work in the SB. I'd like nothing more than the Eagles to drop 50 on the Pats. But it's not going to happen.
  2. This is what happens when the QB is not completely trusted. You get the lead and take your foot off the gas because you don't want that QB to throw the other team back into the game. It's good logic and works most of the time, but not against the Patriots.
  3. Also, watch the Broncos from a few years ago. I know we need a franchise QB and we should get one, but one thing is clear to me. You are not going to outduel Brady and BB. It's just not going to happen. You have to have a defense that is relentless as all get out. Your rushers have to be so good that he's uncomfortable EVERY play. If he has any stretch where he is comfortable, get ready for a TD, whether it is by a lot of laundry being on the ground or some other stuff. Brady MUST hit the ground early and often. There can be no let up.
  4. LOL, he'll have a great 1st half. But those adjustments ....
  5. All I will say is the only way I have seen NE get beaten and shut out of a football game is when a team has a crazy defensive line who can get after Brady CONSISTENTLY. See Giants with Strahan, Tuck, Umenyiora. That line made Brady's life hell and that's probably the only way you'll beat them. That and when their WR's catch the football they must get knocked out (loss to the Ravens in the AFC championship, Bernard Pollard with the hit heard around the NFL. Knocked Ridley clean out). The Jags are halfway there. But they had some stretches today where Brady was just too comfortable.
  6. For me it was that TD drive prior to the half. OK with Gronk I guess you have to call it but the PI on Bouye was soo much BS.
  7. Don't forget to add in TB12 Bad hand, without his best weapon but still defies the odds.
  8. Bortles is going to have to be the ONE. Plenty of time here.
  9. Yep and allowing the defense to finish them off.
  10. Jags trenches look stronger than ours on both sides. Plus, we don't have two CB's to single up on their WR's and also have a backer/safety or even a CB to cover Gronk. Then there's the other issues on offense other than the trenches.
  11. Ruled out for the remainder of the game from text from NFL.com
  12. To me Davenport is way too RAW for rd 1.
  13. You do realize they didn't come out of college like that though right? It's about development. Some guys mature and have this feel for the pocket and others don't. And also realize that they have top tier OL's, good weapons at WR. Who's scaring the defense for us at WR? Is there a defense saying we can't blitz because we don't want to single or double cover anyone? NO. Our offense is not set up the way those QB's offenses are set up. We have nobody that forces teams to stay in two deep. There's just so much more to QB's success than just the QB is superman and can do amazing stuff.
  14. Hey do you want Fitzmagic back? He's pretty smart. Had a fantastic Wonderelic.
  15. The way I look at Jackson is that he's got 1st rd talent but he might not be a 1st rd passer based on completion percentage. That's not to say he cannot become a 1st rd passer that's why you have more than one rd in the draft and that's why you give a player like him time to improve. Same thing with Allen. I'm not for sure what all the fuss is. I just think people are overly hard on these guys sometimes. If you don't think Jackson is a 1st rd QB then don't take him in the first round. But just be clear that there are several other guys that are also not 1st rd QB's based on completion %. So don't take them in the first. Doesn't mean they won't or will make it in the league. All it means is they need to be given some room to see what happens. I wouldn't be opposed to Jackson. I'd see how far he slides. If he's a round 2 guy take him in rd 2. Give him some room to grow.
  16. I was disappointed because I know he's a really good athlete and can run. Just didn't see the nose for the football.
  17. One guy I was not impressed with in this game is linebacker Tegray Scales, Indiana. Looked lost a lot. Watching some of his other tape you see an athlete and a guy that can run, but nothing special at the position.
  18. Not sure why people think Roquan Smith will be around at 21. He won't; unless there are red flags all over the place.
  19. I see the pub for Street. Pretty quick first step and has a violent hand game. The Bills have met with: Tre Flowers Safety Oklahoma State Ethan Wolf TE Tennessee Avonte Maddox CB Pitt Deadrin Senat DT USF
  20. Sure you have to give up something to get something but it just sounds outlandish. McDermott was the one who actually pulled the trigger on Tre White even though Whaley was the one who turned in the card. He fits McD player DNA through and through. I just don't see that happening at all. Just sounds like a message board dream rather than something that Beane and McD would do. Secondly, the post acts like McD didn't learn anything from the Panthers fumbling on Josh Norman. It would suggest McD thinks the defense will be just fine when he was just in a situation in which their secondary fell to the bottom of the damn league. Just seems to suggest that McD is dumb rather than smart. I have confidence that he's the latter and not the former. Trenches for sure.
  21. If I had a choice, Mayfield.
  22. The bolded makes no sense whatsoever. Why would you trade TWhite? He was a top player in the secondary. Why would you deliberately weaken a part of your team to select either of those guys? Especially Allen who has major, major concerns and will probably be there at 21 unless someone just falls in love with his measurables?
  23. Agreed. Smith is my favorite player in this draft behind Bradley Chubb but Evans is also a really good linebacker so why trade up for Smith when you have another blue chip LB?
