  1. I don't want the Bills anywhere near Allen honestly. I have Luke Falk ahead of Allen as a QB. Much better accuracy, ball placement, processor and decision maker.
  2. I don't think they will be. I think they ARE going to take him there and then they are still guaranteed one of the top QBs at 4.
  3. I like the list. It's offense focused for sure. I cannot argue with any of it. We need a QB. We need OL and we need another HB. I like the guys we are meeting with even if some of them are just to find out about other players we are interested in.
  4. Hey. I agree with your sentiment. I like Duke. Was a fan when he came out of UM. HE did have some injury issues in his first season. Well that is partially why I can see them taking Barkley. Hue may not see DJ as a bell cow back.
  5. Ordinarily, I'd agree, but you can't overlook what Elliot has done for the Cowboys and Gurley for the Rams in the last couple of years. Sure you can get an effective back in the mid rounds but you are not getting THAT back and that's the difference. Considering also the Browns are in a division with the Steelers, Ravens, and Bengals not having a powerful running attack can be a downfall. The Steelers, and Bengals have franchise Backs. Not sure what the Ravens will do with Collins but they wanted to commit more to running the football this year and they did very well. The Browns have Crowell but is he a franchise back? I think the Browns will take Barkely at 1 only because the Giants would take him at 2. If they didn't have the Giants or Colts following them then they'd probably wait to take the HB at 4. But with those two teams following them if you wait you are not getting Barkley, But you are still assured a rookie QB at 4.
  6. I don't think he's a lock for the Browns. If they take Barkley at 1 and if they don't not get a vet QB then they'll take a QB at 4. He might get saved. The Browns are taking a QB somewhere it's inevitable. They are either taking one in FA or in the draft or both.
  7. Just too old for my tastes. If we are going to get young just get young.
  8. I'd actually prefer we draft a power back than bringing in Stewart or Ivory. Just go with the youth movement. I don't think Stewart has much left anyways. Ivory was on the Jags at this point last year and they decided to take Fournette anyway. Taking Fournette may or may not say anything about Ivory's ability, who knows. I'd just rather get younger.
  9. Plus I'd rather see him starting for the Bills than Ducasse.
  10. Beane had nothing at all to do with the KC trades. Nothing. He wasn't even here yet.
  11. NO. I'm in the camp of you have to have a price point or else you get taken for whatever. I could see 21 and 22 this year and maybe a 3rd next year but I'd be very difficult to convince in giving up next year's 1st. Again, I believe in having a price point and then negotiating from that. Given the parameters we are working with I think you set your price point and you can negotiate a little further or back, but for guys to just want to give up everything it tells me they have no price point at all. And to me a person that doesn't have a price point to negotiate from is one who can get suckered into taking anything and it just reeks of desperation. KC gave up their 1st for this year to move up 17 spots. They gave up a current and a future 1st to move up 17 spots. Why in the hell would anyone give up 2 current 1st and a future 1st to move up 16 spots? I'd hate it if we did that. I don't care who the player is. If we give up 2 1sts and a 3rd I could get on board with it. But not another first.
  12. Man the only issue though is that if a guy has shown that one time, you probably should believe him. It's too much of a risk and not the attitude that fits into the culture that McD wants to foster.
  13. Ahhh I didn't think about that. Newsome has definitely made a living there and the Ravens have benefited greatly. I just don't think they have the cap space to sign him. They are in pretty bad shape cap wise and I'm sure their fans will flip over backward if they sign another defensive player without first giving Joe Flacco some weapons on offense.
  14. Part of me wonders whether or not his lateness and not showing up to meetings was his way of speaking out against something he didn't like. I dunno. It's just odd that this was not a habit prior to 2017.
  15. They love Pierce so much they moved Williams to 3 technique and I'm sure they'll give Wormley a chance to win that next spot. Also, I don't think the Ravens expect a lot of sack production from their defensive line, which is 3-4 based. Their OLB's are the ones they look to for the high sack totals. I'm sure they would be thrilled with interior guys getting a lot of sacks but I don't think it is something that their defense requires. They haven't had a double-digit interior lineman since Trevor Pryce. Plus, our cap situation is better than their's and ours is not where Beane wants it. Ozzie Newsome is one of the most conservative spenders in free agency there is and I don't see that changing in his last year as the GM.
  16. With the Browns probably interested and a couple of others, it doesn't hurt to widen your wallet to compete in the bidding war.
  17. They are already stacked at the DL position and they just paid Brandon Williams a big contract last year. I doubt it. Not sure where he's going to go.
  18. Signing Davis also might make next year's 3rd round pick easier to deal this year due to the comp formula. I say go with Davis and draft a rookie to play behind Davis and White. Hopefully, you get a 3rd comp for Gaines or someone we are losing. Use next year's original third as some ammo for moving around this year. That's how I'm looking at it.
  19. Don't want Coleman at all. He might be familiar but the guy has given up a lot of big plays. Johnson definitely seems to be done. He was a healthy scratch in their playoff game.
  20. Economical approach. If we keep Tyrod it's good for a rookie in one sense. The one thing you cannot fault Tyrod on is being a professional. He's been that and can be a good mentor.
  21. As long as the Bills get one of their guys then it doesn't matter. This is the dating phase so I think the Bills have a lot of candidates and not one like all of these reports suggest.
  22. Like I said in another thread. The Bills like EVERYBODY right now but not really. The guys they really like will not be known until closer to the draft. And I do think it's guys rather than the guy. They have their price they are willing to pay so on and so forth. I think their approach will be balanced, they'll get one of their guys and still build the team. May not be the guy you or I wanted but so goes life. Although if Allen were the guy I'd be so damn pissed in real life, but will be excited to use him in a Madden franchise LOL. He didn't, which is one of the reasons why I don't want us anywhere near him. But hey if we do, at least I'll like him in Madden haha.
  23. Signing him to a big contract is very risky. There's no body of work to look at. I'd be overly cautious.
  24. I like Mike but there's just no way Allen from a production standpoint and even when you look at film, there's no way he's the #2 QB. Mike has to have him here on potential alone because there's nothing else to support that ranking. NOTHING!!
  25. I like Richardson, but prefer Star due to the background of him having played under McD in Carolina. We'll see of course, but I just think the FO and head coach know more about what they are getting with Star, what to expect from him in the locker room so on and so forth.
