  1. Just don't see what Castillo sees in Ducasse. He got bullrushed on that first play. May have impacted the pass.
  2. I think Taron Johnson will fill the role nicely. He's given up some plays, but he was tight in his coverage. He just needs to find the ball faster or learn how NFL WR's try to set up DB's to not make a play on the ball. Johnson (Taron) should be fine IMO.
  3. I think I'd be for starting AJ week 1 and if it needs to get shaken up then shake it up after that game. At least he's familiar with the opponent.
  4. They are going to man press and blitz whoever starts. I think it'll be an ugly day for our offense regardless of who's under center.
  5. Unlike Peterman, the Panthers actually dialed up some pressure against Allen. Peterman faced a basic defense coverage wise. The pitch and catch by Benji with no help over the top vs our former CB was nice, but I wouldn't buy anything in Vegas regarding Peterman just yet.
  6. Agreed. I'm interested to see Dawkins vs Garrett and Mills vs Ogbah. Well, maybe not the latter one LOL. I'm afraid of that one.
  7. They finished 11th last season from an abysmal 31st the previous year. They've proven it. To me, their issue is they didn't have a passing game to complement what they did on the ground. The other big item for them which I think they have addressed is they have to figure out what to do on defense once Jimmy Smith gets hurt. When he's in their line up, their secondary has been very strong, but the moment he gets hurt they drop off. I think the additions of Humphrey last year through the draft, Averrett this year and a few other pieces may help them. Smith will be healthy for game one which is one of the reasons I'm skeptical of us pulling out a W. I'm going with the Ravens. I think they have the best defensive talent in the division and Joe Flacco is either interviewing for other teams or he's trying to indicate to the Ravens why they should keep him. He'll play with a chip on his shoulder. Yanda is healthy along with Lewis so their OL should be at full strength.
  8. If Humber is moved out on passing downs I'll feel a little relieved. Just please don't let me see him in Nickel.
  9. But let's also entertain the idea that Daboll just might want more athletic TE's for his offense. And right now those guys seem to be outperforming NO in camp.
  10. My six would be: Benjamin Coleman Jones Reilly Ray Ray Kerley I do like what Streater brings though. I'd toss Foster on the PS for sure. Work on his hands the entire season and see what he has next year. I think there's some untapped potential in Foster. You don't get open like that if something isn't good about you. He gets open a lot. He just doesn't catch a lot.
  11. Honestly, I thought other than the rookie play, Allen actually looks like he belongs. He showed poise and command in the huddle. I thought he was late on the one perimeter pass early 4th qtr which could have led to an INT. His deep pass to Foster in the 4th really should have been a TD. Foster slowed himself down which prevented him from being where the ball landed for the catch. Foster better turn things around quickly because right now he's cutting himself. Allen hit Foster on a hitch in the 4th and he just dropped it. Hit him right in the chest. Allen showed good mobility too. The Panthers did bring pressure against him a couple of times and I like the way he escapes. Now this was a string of plays about 5 mins or so left in the 4th where the Panthers turned it up a little. I think they rattled Allen a little bit. It's good for him though. He needs to see that, learn from it.
  12. Not a lot of pressure from Carolina last night, that's why I'm not buying the Peterman ticket just yet. While he looked good on his first two drives, I'm more of the mind that when teams game plan and show a lot of press and bring pressure, Peterman is not going to look like that. I'm interested to see which 6 WRs we keep. Benjamin is a lock but after that, I wonder how it will shake out. Boy was Conner McDermott bad. Boetger and Teller held up really well. I think if you give them a year in an NFL weight and conditioning program you might have some special guys on the interior. I really liked the play designs by Daboll. I think Shady is going to eat on that shotgun power run. As for the linebackers, this game was pretty much base for them and they were just "there". Not a concern as you never know what coaches will do with them once the season starts. They may have them on the move a lot in game 1 to hide some of the hesitation and weaknesses. The good thing about our team is we have the secondary to allow that.
  13. I think the Browns have found their QB of the future in Mayfield. He's been sharp most of the night. Also I was pretty shocked with Tyrod's first pass to Landry. Landry was covered and TT threw the football to him LOL. I've never seen that.
  14. I'm just going to wait until Thursday and get the eye test on the QBs. Lots of guys get raving reviews in camps but then when they hit the field you ask where is the guy they were talking about in camp? I don't see him anywhere.
  15. It's on NBC. Nothing to really see since most of the starters are not playing.
  16. Even so, how many throws did he have on those afternoons? If he's throwing 60-70 passes in those padded practices, I see no reason to make it a headline/news story. And I would hardly call that struggling.
  17. So roughly 1 int per practice. Why is this a news story? If he's thrown basically 1 INT per practice and has had about 50 + throws a day, I'm not sure why it is even a report. Unless he just looks completely lost and is throwing INT's. I doubt that's what's happening.
  18. He never said his best football would be with the Bills.
  19. They are having the WRs rotate with the ones just like the QB's to see who will take the spot. It'll be an interesting battle. KB is the only lock IMO. Everything else is up for grabs.
  20. I'm wondering if Milano has some durability issues.
  21. It is? http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=false&conference=null&role=TM&offensiveStatisticCategory=RUSHING&defensiveStatisticCategory=null&season=2017&seasonType=REG&tabSeq=2&qualified=false&Submit=Go Finishing 11 out of 32 is not suspect. They did that without their best lineman in Yanda so no it's not suspect. It's actually pretty damn good. While I think Flacco is below average, it didn't seem like Torrey Smith, Steve Smith and Pitta before being forced into retirement struggled at all. They all played at Pro Bowl levels. I have no idea why people think the game vs the Ravens is a shoe in. If trends remain true, namely at the beginning of the season defenses are far ahead of offenses, I think it actually could be the most brutal game we play offensively. Plus, they are playing at home. At best I think we go punch for punch and lose in a 10-6 ball game. At worse, I think we get shut out 13-0.
  22. But don't you understand that's the reason why people are skeptical? When looking at NFL teams, the ones with so many question marks are the ones where people lean toward the downside, not the upside. This says nothing about how guys MIGHT perform but more of when comparing this team to other teams where there is an established cast of characters, there really is no comparison. Games are certainly won on the field. But predictions are made based off of established consistency and reputation, which the offense lacks pretty much all around. So I don't get mad when people say the Bills of 2018 are going to be bad. I understand why we are predicted to be bad.
  23. I agree. I just think if people here would look at this from the perspective of someone outside they would completely understand why they say what they say. I mean, everything on offense is up for grabs. When people think about NFL teams one of the first things they think about is offense and weapons. Well the Bills have none established anywhere except for a WIDE END who cannot separate from coverage. But no one knows who's going to be throwing him the football. McCoy would give some national pundits something to write about but even he's up in the air at this point. There is nothing that spells or smells points with the Bills offense and that's why people are saying what they say. Defensively we should be fun to watch, but as it stands there is nothing to put faith in on offense yet, AT ALL.
  24. His actual baby's mom did call Cordon a liar and said he's nothing but loved his son and that they (Cordon and her BFF) are just trying to ruin McCoy.
