Your statements show you don't know the team at all IMO. The Ravens are actually loaded with players ready to step in for the aging vets. At OLB for instance, Suggs is very long in the tooth but they have Tim Williams, Bowser, Judon, Za'Darius Smith all ready to take over. That's two deep on each side. At CB, Jimmy Smith and Carr are old, but they have Humphrey, Averrett, Hill, Young already to step in. Young is the starting Nickel and only in his 3rd year. The OL other than Yanda is young. The TE's are fairly new. So I'm not seeing this old over the hill team you are talking about. Sure the Safeties and Suggs are old, but most of the guys are either hitting their prime or are getting ready too. It's easy to predict the Ravens winning this game based on familiarity and domination in the trenches from Pierce and Williams. I don't think we have anyone that can block either of them in the run game. When I mention familiarity, I'm talking about Juan and Frasier. Those guys over there know them and they also know Ducasse and probably whipped his ass a lot. They also know Bodine and did whip him a lot. But Groy is starting and I'm not sure if that's much better. In either case we'll see Sunday. I just want the Bills to have an OK showing. I take the statement, games are won in the trenches literally and in this game I see the Bills outmatched both ways. I think the Bills defensive line vs the Ravens OL will be more interesting to watch than the Ravens DL vs the Bills OL. I think one good thing for us to do would be to overload Orlando Brown Jr on the right side. Give him all kind of looks and see if he can handle protecting Flacco from that side, but other than that, I think their OL is capable of sustaining who we have up front until we show otherwise.

On paper it's easy to see how someone would say this. Also, given that we have young players that are learning it is quite clear that big plays are going to happen against the defense. For instance, suppose Edmunds takes off and plays well. You have to hope Milano does too. To me, in his second year, he's been more hesitant and lost at times than Edmunds. Then there are issues at CB opposite White that might limit what Frasier can do schematically. Offensively, it's all about the line and I think this is one of the worse one in the league. You are not going very far with terrible offensive line play I don't care who you are.

Vontae Davis is a problem....

I'm expecting the Ravens to get Brown lined up on Davis and go after him early and often ? -
Breshad Perriman to visit Bills
NewEraBills replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he's worth a shot. He's a good kid, good attitude. HIs confidence was hurt by injuries. See what Robiskie can do with him. -
Can't wait. This will be fun, hopefully. Unlike a lot of guys here I actually like the Ravens. Not more than the Bills but any team that can go into Foxborough and smack Brady around (their last SB run)and make Bellicheck look on in disbelief gets my vote. Same for Denver. I don't root for either of them when playing the Bills but I like to watch them.

Less concerned with O-line than most...

Fixed. -
Do we pull a Patriots and bring in Perriman?

Everyone has an Achilles heel and WR was Ozzie Newsome's. He just had bad luck drafting that position his entire tenure in Baltimore. Maybe he righted the ship for them on his way out. He always acquired good vet WR's but his drafted WR's were straight putrid. -
Nick O was a limited player. Sure he made some plays for us and that's not to be forgotten. I just look at this from a couple of angles. 1) I look at this coaching staff and the prototypes they had at TE. O'Leary doesn't fit that. He's a glorified H Back that doesn't really transition to what they want in a TE well. 2) He's already maxed out in terms of what he's going to give you.

Which player do you want the Bills to cut

I know it's not realistic, but the way we looked against the Browns and Bengals, we are beyond realistic. -

He got destroyed in the Browns game too. Same way. Plays way too high in pass pro and let's people get under his pads and push him back into the QB. For me I'd like to see Ducass, Miller and Bodine cut with Groy only serving as a backup. We need three linemen to make this thing work this year. Mills can get out next year. -
TJ Clemmons Nico Sarigusa - just needs to completely heal so PS and call up later.

One OL I'd like to take a look at is Nico Sarigusa. The Ravens cut him but it's primarily because he's not all the way back from the knee but I definitely think get him on the PS and let him get healthy and he could be a steal. -
In general he does. I'm just saying they prepared for his yearly injury by drafting CBs. Humphrey quietly had the 2nd best pass defense percentage of rookie CBs last year sitting between Lattimore and Tre

Jimmy Smith being out means nothing for them. They've prepared for his yearly injury through the draft. Their offense is more of a mystery this year. They can run the football. They finished 11th last year without two of their best OL in Yanda and Lewis, both are healthy. I really think this will be a bad game for us honestly.

Bills @ da Bears 1st Half Thread

Hopefully, some team that has extra linemen that can actually block have interest in AJM and we make a trade for that lineman.
