  1. Looks like he had alligator arms at times, but also makes some max radius catches too. Very glad to see the Bills actively working the WR position.
  2. You're right, I shouldn't have stated it as fact since no one that I can find keeps track of penalties that could have been called but weren't. The NFL keeps track of missed calls when they grade the zebras' accuracy every week to determine who officiates the Superbowl and who gets fired, but that data isn't available as far as I can tell. It's just an observation from a casual fan, but certainly one that I'm not alone in seeing and certainly not impossible. Why that troubles a Bills fan as much as it is troubling you is beyond me, however. And then there's stuff like this: https://www.theringer.com/nfl-playoffs/2018/1/29/16943670/new-england-patriots-penalties-edge And this: https://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2009/09/timespicayune_analysis_of_last.html
  3. Are you suggesting that the refs don't miss calls?
  4. And how many times did they get away with defensive holding without being called for it compared to the rest of the league?
  5. Going to NE was probably the best thing for Gilmore's career. He's in a system that masks his main deficiency (a cornerstone of Belichick's D is that they always set the edge, meaning less 1 on 1 matchups between CB and RB during runs), he's in an organization that is the darling of the league and as such he is allowed to play more physically against receivers (which is a strong suit of his), and last but not least, he got paid.
  6. Is it likely that a new OL coach is hired before any personnel decisions are made?
  7. Agreed. But even then, I'd like to see them draft another DB in the later rounds this year, or even find Levi 2.0. If the Bills can keep developing and cranking out DBs in a pass-heavy league, that's a good problem to have.
  8. I'd have to agree about the QB coach. Or if it's not him, it's a combo of Anderson/Barkley/Culley that is conducive for QB growth.
  9. They even had the gall to announce this ***** in New England. What a bunch of #### smokers.
  10. Someone is looking for attention. Don't feed the trolls. At least for today. We can talk about his potential overrating tomorrow if you really want to. But today is Kyle's day. He's spent 13 years earning it.
  11. I have friends who are fans of other teams. Many of them not only know of Kyle Williams and respect him, but also wish they had a guy like that on their teams. He's cemented his place as one of my favorite Buffalo Bills and I hope he gets into coaching later in life. He's a natural leader of men and an excellent mentor.
  12. What went wrong after year 1? EJ Manuel went wrong. Honestly though, I used to be in the bandwagon that EJ just wasn't given enough of a chance and that the whole "eye test" thing was a load of bull. But after watching Josh Allen play this year with far less talent than EJ had around him, I finally get what they were saying. Granted, Josh has made some awful throws this year (the two INTs last week come to mind), but I still think the guy just has "it", whatever the hell "it" even is. I never got that feeling with EJ in every game he played in the same way that I do with Allen. Sometimes EJ would turn "it" on and wow you, but Josh has "it" on 24/7.
  13. I was kind of surprised to see him listed at 250. At his height, he doesn't just need more muscle (which I agree he needs and I'm sure he'll get), he literally needs to cultivate more mass. His body is too long to play adequately against the run at 250. Ideally, long-term I seem him playing above 260, stronger than he is now, and just as fast as he is today.
  14. In his defense, the whole damn team is weak against the run. The DEs can't contain or set the edge, the DTs don't establish the line of scrimmage, and our safeties just don't have the strength to take on bigger runners, receivers, and blockers. If Edmunds had an average run defense around him, I still think he's a good fit for what McD wants to do with his defense. But you can't sell out against the run personnel-wise as much as the Bills seem to be doing. I do think Edmunds fills out his body a bit more and becomes stouter against the run both physically and (more importantly) mentally over time, but right now it's the weakness in his game. He may as well stop biting on play action and drop back every snap since he's so bad against the run right now anyway lol.
  15. I mean I’ll take a Brady pick all day but it doesn’t matter
  16. LOL Arians is starting to realize the twilight zone the Bills are in with the refs
  17. Zero points with amazing field position
  18. Idk what’s wrong with this run defense and their alignment sometimes. Brady just counts how many guys are on one side of the center and runs it on the side with fewer guys.
  19. That could be a better combo than Brady and Bellichick. At least it'll be out of our conference if so.
  20. I think this is a solid move. One less thing to worry about for a couple years.
  21. I've always been of the opinion that you should draft at least one DB every year. I wouldn't mind seeing a stud OLB to partner with our current duo but I think FA is where they will get a linebacker. And the trenches? Show me a big boy who can demand double teams and I'm all in. Imo, spending assets on defense is definitely on the table.
