  1. I just called and they said 40 minutes, so that kinda worked out perfect! Thanks Yolo.
  2. How long before the game would you order some pizza and wings if you wanted it by the end of the first quarter? The idea is to potentially avoid the mad rush right before the game at the cost of missing some of it. The caveat is that I live 1min away from the pizza place so I won't miss that much play time.
  3. I don't have twitter and I don't watch TV except for Bills games (like for real). Whatever bubble you think I live in, I don't. But you are clearly deep down in that twitter rabbit hole and you don't even realize it. I believe Russia interfered with our elections on behalf of Trump but I can't say I believe that Trump orchestrated it because I think he's a dumb ass at the end of the day. I haven't responded yet because you think you are spouting the truth or your own individual conclusions when you yourself are spouting someone else's narrative, and again you don't even realize it.
  4. This post is kind of incredible. I used the same terminology that you started with ("leftists" was the word you used; I used "right wingers"). In your response, you change the terminology to party (Democrat and Republican). So you either didn't read what I posted or you're just conflating words willy nilly. Then you ask why I took a political angle when all I did was say the exact same thing you did about the political left but instead from my perspective. Textbook example of how some people completely lack self awareness. I'm almost flabbergasted.
  5. From the other side, that's my exact take. For right wingers it's Dems = bad, Trump = cult of personality.
  6. @Deranged Rhino Yes. I'd like to see all pertinent evidence brought forth, for both the prosecution and the defense, including the OIG testimony and witnesses. As you say, this is tearing the country apart and it needs to be resolved one way or another so we can mend these wounds. But that mending can only happen if both sides are open to both possibilities. When the Democrats make mental gymnastics to beat around the bush a lot of people here cry foul, but when the Republicans do it the same folks jump through the same mental hoops lock, stock, and barrel. Let them make their cases with all the evidence at their disposal, both prosecution and defense. Neither side should make political moves to prevent information from being brought forth and yet both sides are doing it. But when I try to point out those mental gymnastics I just get called an idiot lol.
  7. New evidence can come to light during a trial. The trial can be postponed until a later date as new evidence is gathered (or for many other reasons). I believe it's called a continuance. This is not something that is just being made up on the spot by Democrats.
  8. First you call me an idiot, then you write out something civil like this? Is that how you take the highroad where you come from? lol
  9. You're the one performing logical contortions in order to avoid a very straightforward premise. Not a chance you might be the idiot though.
  10. Only in Trumplandia does the omission of information create a clearer picture.
  11. Rrriiight. Because blocking evidence is the best way to avoid distortions.
  12. For the people who brought up debated the Nature vs Nurture thing, here's a couple quotes from some experts: The point about human development and specifically human brain development is that it occurs mostly under the impact of the environment and mostly after birth. Now, if you compare us to a horse which can run on the first day of life we see that we are very undeveloped. We can't muster that much neurological coordination, balance, muscle strength, and visual acuity until a year and a half to two years of age. That's because the brain development in the horse happens in the safety of the womb. But in the human being, it has to happen after birth and that has to do with simple evolutionary logic. As the head gets larger, which is what makes us into human beings... the burgeoning of the forebrain is what creates the human species, actually... at the same time, we walk on two legs. So, our pelvis narrows to accommodate that. So now we have a narrower pelvis, a larger head, and... Bingo! We have to be born prematurely. And that means the brain development that in other animals occurs in utero, in us, it occurs after birth and much of that under the impact of the environment." ==== So the biology of human beings is very much affected by and programmed by the life experiences beginning in utero. Environment does not begin at birth. Environment begins as soon as you have an environment. As soon as you are a fetus, you are subject to whatever information is coming through mom's circulations. A great landmark example of this is something called the Dutch Hongerwinter. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_famine_of_1944–45#Legacy In 1944, the Nazis are occupying Holland. For a bunch of reasons, they decide to take all the food and divert it to Germany; for three months everybody there was starving. Tens of thousands of people starve to death. What the Dutch Hunger Winter effect is: if you were a second or third trimester fetus during the starvation your body 'learned' something very unique during that time. As it turns out, second and third trimester is when your body is going about trying to learn about the environment: How menacing of a place is it out there? How plentiful? How much nutrients am I getting by way of mom's circulation? Be a fetus who was starving during that time and your body programs forever after to be really, really stingy with your sugar and fat and what you do is you store every bit of it. Be a Dutch Hunger Winter fetus and half a century later everything else being equal you are more likely to have high blood pressure obesity or metabolic syndrome. That is environment coming in a very unexpected place. ==== In a society which is predicated on competition and really, very often, the ruthless exploitation of one human being by another, the profiteering off of other people's problems (and very often the creation of problems for the purpose of profiteering), the ruling ideology will justify that behavior by appeals to some fundamental and unalterable human nature. So the myth in our society is that people are competitive by nature and that they're individualistic and that they're selfish. The reality is quite the opposite. We have certain human needs. The only way that you can talk about human nature concretely is by recognizing that there are certain human needs. We have a human need for companionship and for close contact, to be loved, to be attached to, to be accepted, to be seen, to be received for who we are. If those needs are met, we develop into people who are compassionate and cooperative and who have empathy for other people. But... the opposite, that we often see in our society, is in fact a distortion of human nature precisely because so few people have their needs met. So, yes you can talk about human nature, but only in the sense of basic human needs that are instinctively evoked. Or rather, certain human needs lead to certain traits if they are met, and a different set of traits if they are denied.
  13. Initially, I read this too quickly as "At some point, even Daboll might start to wonder why teams are interested in him". Lol.
  14. It's not just about yards though. Kickoffs can help shift momentum, even if it's just a return from the end zone to the 28 yard line. Never underestimate what a little juice can do for athletes.
  15. All 3 phases need to perform at a high level. He does his part on Special Teams. It would be nice if he could be a part of the passing game but that's not necessary to be a contributor to W's. I mean how many balls has Matthew Slater caught from Tom Brady in his career?
  16. No illegal blindside block on #32?
  17. In today's passing league, CBs like White (zone) and Gilmore (man) are at a premium. Good production from the corner position is not nearly as replaceable as good production from the running back position is.
  18. U.S.-led coalition says it will withdraw from Iraq -letter BAGHDAD, Jan 6 (Reuters) - The United States-led military coalition against Islamic State said on Monday that it was pulling out of Iraq and would be repositioning forces over the next few days and weeks, a letter seen by Reuters showed. "Sir, in deference to the sovereignty of the Republic of Iraq, and as requested by the Iraqi Parliament and the Prime Minister, CJTF-OIR will be repositioning forces over the course of the coming days and weeks to prepare for onward movement," read a letter from United States Marine Corps Brigadier General William H. Seely III, the commanding general of Task Force Iraq. The authenticity of the letter, which was addressed to the Iraqi defence ministry's Combined Joint Operations Baghdad, was confirmed to Reuters independently by an Iraqi military source. "We respect your sovereign decision to order our departure," it said. (Reporting by Ahmed Aboulenein Editing by Chizu Nomiyama) http://news.trust.org/item/20200106193750-gbx3f/
  19. Same. It's actually pretty amazing how just watching other people play a game can create that kind of a physiological response. "Mind over the body, not the body over the mind."
  20. Kinda weird how every letter grade is either a plus or a minus.
  21. Most painful loss I've felt since I can remember. I can't even imagine what the locker room is feeling.
  22. Disgusting loss considering how many chances the Bills had to win, while the Texans literally needed a miracle breakdown from their opponent to win. I mean just so many chances... so many blown possibilities.
  23. Bills lost this game more than the Texans won it.
  24. Have a good night everyone. Better luck next year.
