EJ Manuel Reflects On His Career As The Bills Future QB
Capco replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't Tyrod post the highest passer rating out of any QB since Kelly during his time here? I know all those QBs sucked to some degree, but he was probably the most serviceable starter we had between Allen and Kelly. -
Should absentee ballots be illegal?
Capco replied to Warren Zevon's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
As long as there are free ID's available in all 50 states for those in extreme poverty, then I'm totally cool with voter IDs as a requirement. Money shouldn't be an obstacle to voting, in ANY amount. That's also why election day should be a national holiday. -
A Compilation of Some of Josh's Bad? Throws
Capco replied to JESSEFEFFER's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I noticed that too. The only way to bring his average down that much would be if he was throwing a lot of deep balls. The only thing I can think of is that some throws are weighted differently, or only certain throws are being looked at. I did think the "4" might be a typo and that his completion % was 58.3%, but it was actually 58.8% last year. So that's probably not it either. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Capco replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Multiple analyses show this to be true. It started with Reagan and has been that way for some time. It's also entirely why people like Bernie have come to the forefront, as a backlash to how far right the country has moved as a whole over the last 40 years. The dismantling of the middle class as the source of American greatness, only to be replaced by corporate America, is central to the deregulation of the 80s. This is where the Democrats and Republicans reside on an objective, political spectrum of Western democracies. -

Idk dude. Logic dictates that if the establishment is selling one narrative, then alternative narratives automatically hold more weight. Unfortunately this site didn't get a "Very Low" rating, which probably means the establishment has infiltrated their ranks to some extent. One must read between the lines to get a clear picture. I feel stupider just for writing that, but that's actually how these clowns think... -

Fluid dynamics is fascinating. Look up the Navier-Stokes equations sometimes if you really want to get an appreciation for how difficult it is to attempt to model "simple" things like a sneeze. That's not specifically what is being modeled in that video but that's what it immediately made me think of. -

At least we're not the Falcons

Seriously though. It's hard to imagine that someone actually got paid for designing them. -
1,3 and 8 here as well. Glad to see such consensus.

This analysis somewhat neglects the fact that the modern NFL sees more running back by committee than true workhorse type backs from years past. You can only have 1 starter but you might have 2-3 regular contributors that have similar levels of production.

So you know how the NFL still uses the card system for draft picks, even in recent years despite all the new technology? For those that don't know, clubs have to physically hand in their draft selection to the NFL even though all the GMs operate remotely from their respective clubhouses. Each team has a representative at the draft whose job is to do just that. The release doesn't explicitly mention this, but is it safe to assume that there will not be any physical club presence for the card thing, even if it's only just 1 per team with no other representatives present?

Who needs science when we have Jesus! Dude can't even keep a straight face... -
If only the most powerful man in the world had more than 3+ years to fix a "broken system" he inherited and is responsible for. It's also a shame he didn't get his proposed budget cuts to the CDC enacted. Surely that would have helped him keep the country well-prepared and replenish any medical stockpiles (that were purposely left empty to sabotage the next administration, I might add). We'll have to cut the CDC's budget next year if we ever want to get a handle on this "pandemic readiness" thing.

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Capco replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
At least this is an honest answer I can work with. Thank you. I genuinely don't understand how you can see that pattern of behavior and not have some alarm bells going off. And it's not like this is a novel, radical concept. Many people have seen this same pattern of behavior and independently came to this conclusion. His behavior has at times been downright appalling when considering the level of decorum expected of the POTUS, both nationally and internationally. -

Pardon? I'm not changing anything. I said I think he had "petty and/or racist" motives for the travel ban. I did not say the travel ban was exclusively racist at any point in time. And I stand by my statement. None of those examples screams "hmmm we might have some racist undertones here" to you? Not a single one? It takes some unique talent to get your head that far in the sand. -

Correct. And I have loads of prior behavior to point to that supports my position. And all you have is your supposition that it was done because he's a very capable president, making decisions where his noted xenophobia never plays a factor (lol)... with practically nothing to support that point of view. At least I can make my case without labeling someone else with a broken brain. -

By all means, feel free to contest any of the above examples. They are all common knowledge. It's not like we're writing a scholarly journal entry on this forum. Unless you think none of those things actually happened just because I used the wrong link. So far, all you've been able to do is name call and label. I wonder if that will change. -

Here's a wiki article with over 320(!) citations making the case for Trump being a racist. Just from the summary (lol) we have: -Sued by DoJ for housing discrimination, 1973/78 -leading proponent of bitherism conspiracy -vilification of the wrongly accused Central Park 5 -speech about Mexicans being criminals and rapists -repeatedly linked African Americans and Hispanics with violent crime -implied a moral equivalence between the white supremacist marchers and those who protested against them at Charlottesville -referred to El Salvador, Haiti, and African countries as "sh|tholes" - Trump tweeted about Democratic congresswomen: "Why don't they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done." This Go back to your country mentality is a common racial trope. Several studies and surveys have stated that racist attitudes and racial resentment have fueled Trump's political ascendance, and have become more significant than economic factors in determining the party allegiance of U.S. voters. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racial_views_of_Donald_Trump The evidence is nothing short of overwhelming. And you've provided zero evidence to the contrary. Yet somehow I'm the one who is proven to not be operating with a fully functional brain. You have a special, rare kind of logic. I'll bet you think it's a gift, too. -

I'm allowed to think he's a racist without discrediting everything else I say. What incontrovertible proof do you have that he doesn't have a racist bone in his body? I'm all ears. -

You're right. 3+ years isn't nearly enough time to fix a "broken system" under your direct control when you're the most powerful man in the world. How ridiculous of me to expect more. -

He fired two of the very people who knew what to do best, Luciana Borio and Scott Gottlieb. They literally weren't available to provide that information in a formal setting because of his decision making. If he wasn't so damned petty he'd not have fired them, taken their advice into proper consideration, and acted as aggressively as South Korea (or more so). But instead we are left with 4-6 lost weeks because the man in the Oval Office has an ego problem. More people are going to die than would have otherwise. Do you understand? -

Following orders from subordinates is not the same as taking their advice into consideration. That (which is expected of a leader) wasn't even done.
