  1. Call me confused. It isn’t draft or free agency period and we are way past the trade deadline. What am I missing?
  2. I also wish Soda Popinski had migrated here. He was a great contributor for football and fishing.
  3. I was stationed in Belgium for 4 years and was able to visit Luxembourg several times. The American military cemetery here is chilling. 5,076 American heroes are in perfect formation, all facing the headstone of the man who lead them to victory- General Patton. It puts a lot of things into proper perspective.
  4. Excellent summary, Shaw. Like you, I am very comfortable here and enjoy the good discussions, as I did on the BBMB. I enjoy the more relaxed atmosphere here and agree the mods do a great job. i don’t think that many posters understand that adherence to the COC was what allowed the BBMB to survive for many years with several thousand good posters who never received infractions.
  5. I just finished a book about The Battle of the Bulge. I would bet some of our fathers and grandfathers were in that heroic fight to the death 73 years ago today in the freezing, snowy Ardennes. Greatest Generation to be sure. ?
  6. I have mixed emotions regarding Lamar making it at the pro level, at least at the QB position. At the very least, he will be a project that the Bills can't afford to take on.
  7. Right now, there is a chance we will be playing next week so it seems logical to continue to search for players capable of stepping up if we have injuries.
  8. That’s how it looks. And then there's a 75 yard run that few could make.
  9. My thoughts exactly regarding his accuracy. I think we take a more NFL ready QB with our first pick like Mayfield or Rudolph. And there is pick #2 against Lamar today.
  10. Jackson is certainly not a finished product but is something to watch.
  11. Lamar Jackson with 2 tds...1 on the ground and 1 passing. He is definitely explosive.
  12. Ok. I have read bits and pieces of this thread but have probably missed a lot. Would you please summarize your prognostications for us out of towners? This is a serious request and not snarky at all. After your shoveling, of course.?
  13. That’s nuts. People get the flu and it kicks ass for a few days then life goes on. It is, however, tough on people with compromised immune systems but not necessarily indicative of it.
  14. This has to be the strangest thread ever. I would swear I am reading something written by Abbott and Costello.
  15. A high of 74 but temps will decrease a little with the 4:25 start. Weather will not be a factor this Sunday.
  16. I said Mayfield but would like have to see us draft both Rudolph and Washington. Chemistry.
  17. Rudolph really looks good...again.
  18. I lived on the Presidio of San Francisco for 10 years and San Fran is the most beautiful city in America. My home was literally a couple hundred yards from multi-million dollar mansions. Westerndecline is right, however. It would be impossible to live there now with the traffic and the sky high prices.
  19. I love Mayfield's abilities, his passion for the game and his winning ways. Not a fan of crotch grabbing, however.
  20. This is pretty amazing:
  21. Mayfield and Rudolph. I look forward to that. Suddenly the Walk Off from Zoolander came into my brain. Weird.
  22. There is no doubt both lines need some serious attention but QB trumps everything. I see us being active in FA to beef up the OL/DL and then draft a top tier QB (assuming Cousins or Smith aren't taken). This will be an interesting next 4 months.
  23. Pats, refs and Dennison. We are doomed.
  24. Well...the refs have given the Patsies 7 points so far. Outstanding.
