and hopefully it’s so disappointing they have a rush of talent continue to leave and are banished to mediocrity for a few decades-are are stuck paying Dak $60m for another 5 years.

    Amen to that !!!

I don't know who is in the tougher spot Dallas or Miami.  They have offenses that are ready to go with the qb's but the qb's because of the market are going to be paid way more than they are worth yet the team will not win in the short term without them.

These guys are going to get like 60 a year.

1- I look at the dolphins as the cowboys of the AFC

2- I hope Dak and Tua both get to reset the QB market as a Bills fan it’s a win win for me

Dolphins are in an almost no win situation.

They are going to have to pay the injury/concussion-prone Tua the going rate of Trevor Lawrence/Jared Goff.  Now if he wants even more (which I hope to hell he does) then they are really in a tough situation.

Dolphins have the 5th year option and they can franchise him next year and the year after ,if I’m not mistaken  just like Washington did with cousins

Would be nice to have some consistency on the line at all positions.

    Dawkins, McGovern, Torrence, Brown

Just waiting to see who fills that last spot.

Would be nice if the rookie would step in and fill the Center position , hopefully that happens next year

I did pretty dang good at predicting catches/yards for Kincaid last year, so I’ll probably be wayyyy off this year. Not only that, but I get to predict who we keep on the team as well, which is hard enough without training camp. All that being said, here’s my future bad take:

    Coleman: 77 Catches, 688 yards, 6 TDs

    Samuel: 82 Catches, 761 yards, 6 TDs

Kincaid: 69 catches (nice), 702 yards, 4 TDs

    Shakir: 52 catches, 562 yards, 4 TDs

    Knox: 37 catches, 414 yards, 4 TDs

    Claypool: 33 catches, 303 yards, 3 TDs

    MVS: 24 catches, 219 yards, 2 TDs

    Cook: 36 catches, 347 yards, 3 TDs

    Davis: 14 catches, 211 yards, 1 TD

    Hollins: 8 catches, 147 yards, 1 TD

    Totals yardage: 4,354

    Total Passing TDs: 34

Again, this is the “way-too-early thoughts of a guy kinda working while missing football” predictions. Hopefully they are even better but time will tell.

I think Shakir will be Josh’s favorite go to  WR he’s one of the league’s top with YAC and got solid hands and most importantly Josh trusts him ,  Coleman will be a nightmare to defend in the red zone and could easily have 10 plus TD’s

Among the players that don't make the cut to 53, the Bills should have some decent practice squad options and it matters because they pull WRs off the practice squad every year.  It's as if Beane made a mental note that signing Beasley and Brown back to the roster were desperation moves of a kind that reflected poorly on his roster planning.   Many of his moves this off-season seem geared toward preparing good players to stash there too.

    Agree 100% !!
I think this year he’s making sure that we got good debt at every position especially at LB ,

The Fins came closest last year, but for the Bills’ late season run, it was Miami’s to lose. Returning many of the same cast of characters over there, my guess is it will be similarly neck and neck until late in the year when we pull it off again 👏.

I think Miami’s defense will be even worse this year , Jets and the dolphins will be fighting for a wildcard this season

I don't read into the RB competitions too much.  The strategy seems to be to draft a new one in the middle rounds every year or two so that we have someone decent to take the bulk of the carries when the older guy is ready for a second contract.

Each one brings a little something different to the table, which is healthy.

But as long as we never pay these guys Saquon Barkley money (unless they're a hell of a receiver), then I'm good with this approach

Im hoping that Cook becomes so good that will have to pay him

They just need to put a cap on the QB position if they don’t eventually it will be so much they won’t be able to field the rest of the team or the team will have to be much less I’m other areas .

it’s 1 thing to get paid good, well hell that’s a hole lot more than just good money but if they just continue to let it go like every thin g humans touch it will get out of hand and IMHO kind of already is.

But of course one of you will disagree and say how it can never be to much to play a game !!

I agree it’s getting ridiculous soon the QB and WR# 1 will be taking 75% of the salary cap

It isn't just about having 2 dynamic boundary players.  It's about being able to attack all areas/zones of the field effectively.

Chiefs and Bengals were both bottom 10 teams in Avg Depth per Target (adot) and Yards before catch (ybc).  But they also gained ALOT of YAC and effectively hit on "intermediate" areas of the field.  Yes, Burrow missed some time so we can take some of that into consideration, but it's still their persona to work all areas.

Point is, if Brady can design better schemes and a better intermediate passing game then we'll be very successful.  We have 4 guys that should hit those intermediate areas very well.

Our achilles heal LY ( 2 things were):

    1.  Cover 2 defenses/with a strong front 4.  Aka the Jets and others

    2. Press man teams, aka the Chiefs and others

We need to be able to attack deep too, but in order to beat these coverages above (without Josh having to scramble consistently, esp vs man) is to find guys who can either create separation, via speed/route running or physicality.  We added 2 weapons, in Samuel and Coleman, who excel at both and bring YAC.  Shakir and Kincaid are going to be better this year, especially Kincaid.  And hopefully a healthy Knox.

No problem being a ball control offense, if it's not solely dependent on Josh's legs.  IMO, Diggs lost a step/perhaps poor effort LY, and Davis has never been an intermediate threat consistently.

I think this years offense will be more difficult to defend, due to complementary skill sets and Brady taking over with a full offseason to install his scheme.  Dorsey was a smart guy, but seemed to have some ADHD in his playcalling, which never had any rhythm or identity. We saw Brady "inherit" Dorseys scheme and show a much better knack for setting an identity and get the offense in rhythm.  Can't imagine that he won't improve with his own design and playbook.

Just think of the Dallas game last year where Brady sticks to the running game and we dismantle them  , with Dorsey calling the plays Josh would have been sacked 5 times and 3 INT’s while looking for Diggs

Good watch and here are more notes. These guys are not Bills homers (say Josh is top 5, something many here will hate) but they can still win it all and are still around the same overall talent level (thought the chances to go all the way have dropped a bit this year).

    - McD "coached his a$$ off" in light of the injuries and to get out of the hole in the first half (allude to McD or coaching being partly responsible for that hole.

    - Samuel and Claypool ain't the X, so it has to be Coleman almost by default (thought they thought Coleman was best suited as a big slot and the team has a "million' slot guys)

    - impressed with Cook and thought he was way more versatile than in college; he developed in the back half of the year (running between the tackles, etc)

    - championship window: the Bills still have good players and are a playoff team and are still in their "championship window"  — their chances are not as high but they're still in it

    - the Bills still have the best QB in division and top-5 in league (sharpen your pitchforks!)

    - all the roster losses (biggest, obviously, are safeties and Diggs but also Morse) are a lot but it will be all right

    - letting Steph and Gabe go is a declaration of their new identify that is predicated on more running and efficiency and good D

    - The Bills are a year behind the cycle KC is in (e.g. letting Hill go, etc.)

    - a half dozen games at most you let your "alien" QB do it all — but not 12 times a game

    - MVS is just a depth signing in the regular season but he's there for January:S best hands and clutch plays in playoffs

    - draft top to bottom was strong

    - Coleman is not a traditional X but he might end up being that

    - Love the Bishop pick, might be fave pick in draft: great at pass D and blitzing off the edge; perfect fit for a hard Bills safety role

    - Dewayne Carter the year before was a "top 20 lock" but then had a down year; was a wrecker the year before

    - Soloman is a "fireball off the edge"

    - love the value of LB Ulofoshio; just fell because of injury

    - they had to hit this draft and really did

    - even with all the losses their additions "even out' the overall team talent; they didn't go backwards

    - still the fave to win AFCE

    - still have a chance (thought lesser) to go all the way

    - will find out quick what the team is with all this youth

    - ceiling: 12 wins with a tough schedule, potentially first seed (other guy said ceiling is 13 wins)

    - more realistic is 10-11 with a "ridiculous" schedule

    - if everything goes wrong but Josh plays the year, floor is 9 wins

    - odds not as good as KC and Baltimore but "it's JA, a good defense and a D coordinator who gets it"

    - team will be underrated

    - the trade to KC that let them get Worthy "doesn't matter" and Brett thinks the Bills got the better WR

I wonder what  mrags  got to say about this he obviously watched more tape

When I listen to Rodgers's interviews, I wonder about his mindset.  I get the feeling that football is good for both his ego and his bank account.  But his bank balance is fine so he doesn't need football.  It seems more like a hobby to him at this point.  It's important - but there are other things just as important.

And so I wonder how good he'll be this season.  He's very talented, obviously.  But it's hard to succeed in the NFL and harder yet when you're in your 40s.  So lacking a passionate, single-minded commitment, I don't know if we'll see the best version of Aaron Rodgers this season, or ever again.

Say what you want about Brady and Rogers is more physically gifted  , but you can’t compare his commitment and passion for winning to this 40 year old turd now in New Jersey .

I'm hoping we keep a couple of "really fast" guys on both sides of the ball.  Miami is putting together probably; position for position; the fastest roster the NFL has ever seen.  Just hope we can keep up, and still worried about our guys tongues hanging out in the second half.

And yet with all that speed we beat them by 28 points at home and should have beaten them by 21 in Miami if not for 4 turnovers by Josh ,

As long as don’t play them at 1:00 pm in South Beach I ain’t worried
