McDermott has his flaws but if he were to get fired, he would have multiple teams interviewing him for a HC job.
My biggest issue with him, he gets too aggressive on defense late in games. No need to send the house on 3rd and long....he does that way too much.
Good for Trash teams that need a mediocre HC, cause they have had nothing better the other 4 years.

Josh Allen and Joe Brady were awful. McDermott is an easy scapegoat.
Hold on there. McD chooses his staff. The buck stops with him. ITs his second shot at OC and it is NOT WORKING

I am so sick and tired of bad coaching. Tired of it. Bad calls on offense, worse calls on defense. tired. just tired.

Other than Kelly, those other QBs would have been under 500%, with the exception of Flutie. He was elusive and productive. He might have been successful with this roster. Kelly’s release was quick and that’s what Brady’s offense is designed to feature.
Kelly 3-0 Flutie 2-1 the rest 2-1 1-2 but the games would of been a struggle.
Jim Kelly is the only QB we would be 3-0 Pre Jim Kelly? Fergy, 2-1 rest is before my years

Cinci is supposed to be a contender... How is their Dynamic WR situation working out for them right now?

Hate to break it to you, but Rice is a #1.
the point is. KC for example their WR's have 659 yards receiving.
Ours has 639 total yards while we have a few more run yards.
Seems to me like we are doing just fine. Especially considering how little Josh has had to throw the last 3 week.
Our offense is efficient. why break that chain?

George Pickens had 1,140 yards last year with Kenny Pickett as his QB. He wasn’t the reason that their offense was trash. That’s Malik Nabers (but a worse talent) with Danny Dimes.
Rice had 79/938/7 last year. That’s almost exactly the pace that Shakir is on (with a couple more TDs).
right but we are only separated by 20-30 total yards. Seems like our guys are getting the job done considering how much less throws we have. **From KC
Guys, did we totally forget Diggs did not break 1200 yards last year?
I seriously think what we are doing right now, fits the NFL today.. and even more importantly.. Is making JA play better football.

Rice is on pace for 136 receptions, 1,632 yards and 11 TDs.
ok I will give you Rice but did they have a #1 last year?
Steelers?
I guess the point is When you have a few legit #2 WR, your team should be just fine.

We're not other teams.
*edit: Which top tier teams, sans the Ravens, don't have a #1?
How much NFL do you watch?
We can start with KC.

Wait until the real bullets start flying in December and we don't have a true #1 to elevate this offense or make the big time contested catch.
do you know how many teams dont run a true #1? Do you watch the NFL?

Did you guys see that yard in a half 2 yard separation guys? DID YOU SEE IT? THIS THIS right here... IS why WR's are REFUSING to do their 40 yard in the combine. One bad day ruins your draft position. Coleman is a day 1 WR 100%

I'm not talking about team results or about past performances. I'm talking about right now.
And it's not really all that close.
Mahomes will certainly find his rhythm and close the gap, but he has a ways to go before he's as good as Allen is right now.
I will tell you why this is a fair conversation to be had. So many people, even in these forums... Even during the "I am starting to like these WRs thread" would still say no because we did not have that Big WR anymore. Others... Even in these forums said.. To many Slot WR. Many, were quietly nervous wondering if Josh could ever put up big numbers again.
I, along with many have said... JA will go through his progressions better because of no Diggs on the field. Well lookie lookie... JA still finding his cookies...
Now. RIGHT NOW. Is JA better than Mahomes? lets just put it this way.. I just had a big meal and I had to loosen my belt up a little bit... And Mahomes is a half notch away....
Forget about the last 3-4 years.. RIGHT NOW? its JA "by a nose". But it is a long season. Love that he has no INT's and i need to see that number continue.

God bless brother..
See, this amazing fan base should be donating to each other, if financial support is needed , something so special about this fan base, beyond the game. Truly love and appreciate you guys, even @Simon who keeps banning me lol
My father once told me, you take your licks when you deserve them and more importantly... keep that yap shut while you take those licks. I learned that quick and no matter what.. 10 minutes 15 minutes after being mad with me... things turned into a fun conversation then grab the cards, a game whatever. These forums are no different. Weather a mod is right or wrong. take your licks and keep your yap shut. move on
All that being said. JA is the second best QB In this league voted by KC fans. Thats all i need to know.

Not sure if thread worthy but this clip hyped me up and it's 615 am. Thank God again that 6 teams passed over him, this response is gold and genuine imo , as well as 100% factual . Love this dude, imo he's QB1 on n off the field league wide, he'll catch up to Mahomes accolades
GO BILLS
Edit - they weren't teammates in 2014 🤣🤣
This topic came up, last week? 2 weeks ago? So i am glad to see THAT response. JA and that stressed smile to the camera is all I needed to know lol.

After we went on our late season turnaround once Joe Brady took over as OC, the assumption was the offense was more efficient and we started leaning into the running game a lot more. It's true we did run the ball more as Josh Allen doubled the amount of carries and we became more efficient in goal line scoring. Perhaps just dumping the dreaded shotgun draw play from the 1yd line was enough to change that. Overall however Josh's passing yds/game decreased under Brady as well as his QB rating. Rushing averages for both Cook and Allen decreased under Brady as well. I'm hoping brady shows off some new stuff this season but mostly all I've heard this offseason is that there really isn't a whole lot of new concepts except for Brady is letting the players have more choice in the plays they want to run. Curious how it's gonna play out but I'm still not ready to anoint Joe Brady as the savior of the Bills offense.
You can not decide based on those statistics only because the game has vastly changed. We went from Big Offenses to Big Defenses, The the need of a true #1 WR to the need of more slot WR. The running games all over the league is picking up and passing games slowing down. The net worth for the HB position is going to go up a ton after this season. If Cook continues these numbers through mid year.. We need to extend him asap. While it is cheaper to do so.
At the college level it was noticeable and it looks like our GM did a remarkable job recognizing it.
ALL that being said. I think Joe Brady is a better OC, because he adjusted to how the game adjusted. but the sample size is small.

Here's a good breakdown by an MD:
I feel bad for the kid.
The second he said "similar to what we saw last season", I stopped watching, he did not have a concussion last season.
1 year difference from when the last one happened does factor in. I think most of us think the man should retire... but if a DR. is going to talk about the health
of a player, lets keep the facts factual.
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

To the first video, My issue is, is that these WR need to keep moving. To stop moving at the end of a rout with a mobile QB is CRAZY. NEVER give up on a play.
To the second video The ball is hiked at the 4 second mark. This means by the 7.5-8 second mark the ball should be gone.
Look at the bottom of the screen. 2 WR's running down the field right next to each other to the point where at the 7.5-8 second mark they run into eachother.
EITHER.... Someone did not run a proper rout, or this game play is very poor misuse of spreading players out on the field.
