The bigger problem I see is that the team we're watching out there is not the one he actually built.
If you count Von Miller (and I do) they were missing over half their starting defense most of the game last night.
Over half their starting defense.
You just can't win ball games with that kind of handicap.
As for the inconsistency on offense; I agree that's a problematic coaching issue that has to be resolved in the offseason.
When does our offense get back to the business of putting up 30+ points a game? the Bengals score 21 in the first half and only 3 in the second half. For our defense to pull that off against a very good offense with what we had left on the field? is AMAZING?
BUT
And here is the big But.
MC D is responsible for matching a rookie buddy friend of JA to OC. and no matter how you scrap things off the field on defense.. THAT is McD's Fault.
THAT simple. That sole decision falls on one person... the HC. and because the HC made a STUPID decision to flip a young rookie OC... We have wasted 2 of Josh Allens Prime Years.
So if you A. Blame McD for horrible time management or.. B. Blame McD for horrible end game decisions or C. Blame McD for who he hired..
who's fault is it? All ears? That is right. McD.
Sorry for the rant. Obviously I want McD gone for different reasons then what you were defending or against but at the end it does not matter. In my opinion this HC cant get us to the end game. A Superbowl win.
Lots to Blame with Beane as well...

just get to the playoffs and anything can happen

As far as yesterday goes, he's crushing it.
What else did he need to do? I think yesterday might have been his best game of the year.
yea i was mixing the 2 statements together.
And I agree. He crushed it. Just to bad our OC sucks.

I think Josh's shoulder was a bigger problem than he let on. He missed several passes he's normally money on... particularly those ones he escapes the pocket and rolls right. I hope we can scrape out a win on Thursday and he can use this extended 11 day mini bye to get healthier. Happy we have the bye late in the season just before the Chiefs.
Hey guys... watch the rest of the QBs in the NFL. None are dominating. All are inconsistent. Mahomes included.
Allen still...
#1 in total TDs
#3 in Completion %
#6 in Passing Yards
#5 in Passer Rating
Oh yeah... and he's gone 6 straight games without fumbling the football. Not losing a fumble... fumbling period. Throughout the span of the rest of his career he's never had more than 3 straight games without fumbling.
I think this title is misleading because Josh Allen is Not Crushing the MVP race right now.. I think there are some things he did well last game but crushing the MVP race? misleading.

First play of the game , Knox was open but Allen threw it late and got picked off. He also was open a lot too just not thrown to. Davis is a WR so not what that had to do with me saying the TE were open.
That pick was because Shakir did not finish is rout properly. IT was supposed to be a timed throw to the outside and instead of Shakir finishing his rout he cut in.
Miscommunication. there was plenty of blame to go around this game.. JA did make mistakes no doubt.. but this offensive scheme is horrible.

Except both TE were always open not just Kincaid. The Pats were focused on taking away Diggs as much as possible. Which they did pretty well, also I didn’t see any drops by Diggs (I did miss the 1st quarter though)
knox was not always open and he also had a key drop. Davis was not getting open.
-
Diggs had 6 catches on 12 targets... What does that tell you? That a QB is trying to force feed a WR that just is not open
On Top of all that? Diggs Drops are starting to add up.
Now for the good part. Dalton Kincaid. 8 targets and 8 receptions for 75 yards.. Although this was Kincaid's best game this year.. I cannot
even call this a breakout game for Kincaid.. now 8 targets 8 catches? What does that tell you?
This tells me plenty.. It tells me we had a QB that for most of his career, had to rely on WR's. This told me that it took this long into the season
for JA To trust a TE and now he finally does.
This tells me that Josh Allen has finally learned that we have a second beast on this team... that JA does not need to force feed Kincaid the ball
because he is winning his 1 on 1 opportunities.
This tells me that there is now enough film on Kincaid where defenses have to be concerned about him.
I seriously doubt Kincaid was very often, Josh Allen's first look.. until tis game.. Heck I do not even know how often Kincaid was JA second look?
But one thing is for sure going to start happening.. JA's eyes will start looking more his way.. Kincaid will get way more second reads instead of third
or fourth reads.. wont matter if the play goes to him or not.
Trust is a huge thing with any QB.. QB has to trust his eyes when he sees that TE gets open. QB has to trust the TE will catch the ball.. QB has to trust that the TE runs the right routs.. QB has to trust the TE that he will get that extra 2 yards for a first down. All this takes time.
FINALLY.. I feel like we are entering the era of Dalton Kincaid.
the only good that came out of that.. for me... its the best thing that could of possibly happen on a Bils loss
Long way to go to get back on track.. but we not out the playoff picture yet.. far from it.
cup half full.

He needs to stop letting defensive sets dictate to him and just call the diversified offense that we've seen him be perfectly capable of calling.
If he stops outthinking himself, he'll probably be OK.
I bet a straightforward meeting with the head coach this week will get that message across very clearly.
i mean.. we went from 2 separate extremes.. mostly deep to mostly within 10 yards..

Shyeah right. Like building a stadium so the home team is in the shade and the visitors are in 100+ degree heat isn't cheating....
So our new stadium is built where the south west side of the stadiums is the home side. Where do we get our wind and our lake effect most of the time out of? Yep.. mostly out of the south west.. So it looks like the visiting team gets a little but more weather.. just saying... lol the new stadiums ends will be closed so yea.... I hear it gets cold around here in January.

Take a GOOD look at this statistic people. For those that are to lazy to Click the link? here it is
"Josh Allen has the 9th-lowest turnover-worthy play rate out of 38 qualifying QBs (played at least 20% of team's snaps).
Josh Allen has a lower turnover-worthy play rate than Tua, Lamar, Mahomes, and Herbert"
I 75% Blame the following.. HC having hands on offensive plays/book + Dorsey being a bad game planner and bad play caller.
Not to mention, How many plays have we seen 2-3 WR's within 4-5 yards of each other at the end of routs? The play designs are horrible.
not just the play call itself.
25% or less On Josh Allen. He has made critical dumb mistakes at the worst of time.
Yes I know this equals 150% but 50% on Beane. OLD replacements on both sides of the ball. Over Spending on Von. Flipping contracts the help us
this year but screws our future. McD and Beane not grasping the point that you either need a really good Line or you need talented WR's. older replacements.
So to those of you that are still delusional that our GM and HC is just fine? I make this point. How good were we when we had 3 solid WR's and one
of the worst offensive lines in the league. ?
For those that don't think that our HC is not in the hotseat and wants to blame JA and his INT's. ? Enjoy your blinders.
