bingo. I have been saying this for 2 years. This is our GM and Coaching Biggest Failure. -

I would argue that the patriots maintained because after the first 5 years, they made the offensive line priority one. -

Should the Bills switch to a 3-4 defense?
PrimeTime101 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
you have to either have 0 knowledge of what the 3-4 is, 0 knowledge of what we have, little knowledge of what we are set up for right now, Football itself, or a troll.. I will add a mixture of a few things. but.. Ill Bite for the sake of being kind... 3-4 is 3 down lineman with 4 LBS. Now. there are a couple teams that run a variant of this by adding an extra DB instead of a LB but thats just a 3-3-5 no matter what they call it. to run a good 3-4(keeping in mind this is a base defense that is mostly run on short downs and sometimes base on first down) you need a NT that will rock their world. We do not really have that. THEN you need 4 really good LBS with one of those LBS rotating with a DB and another rotating with Blitz/Cover LB. Now ask yourself (while I still consider the first bolded statement and what fits you best). Do we have the funds do make such a flip on defense knowing all we need on offense and do we have the DC in sight to make such changes happen? NVM, I have thought it through... its a mix bag of "WOW" -
this dude gets paid for clicks. Montana not on the list is an insult. Mahomes just half way through his career is an insult.

DODGEBALL! -
guys lol relax. These are micro coaching positions that are taught by higher ups what they want to be worked on. #1. Only Current coaching staff knows if our last Safety's coach was doing his job. Performance does not really dictate anything in a position like this. #2. Realistically half the micro coaches like this are not even listed on the Bills website. #3. It's who you know and how dedicated you are to putting the hard work in, and following through your job and again... only the staff would know if another coach were doing their job or not... Stats, Injuries and rankings have 0 to do with the job these micro processioning coaches do... IF say a DB or a LB coach or gets fired? its because they lost their dedication... lost their will to play for this organization. The S Coach that was fired? Had nothing to do with player performance on the field. Had everything to do with his teaching skills or his will to stay where he at.

Would you resign Edmunds or a tackle?

PFF is garbage or godly only when you want it to be. LOOK at all his numbers on PFF they look great with overall. "pay attention to them when they bad" "Ignore PFF when they good" I look at all the PFF numbers then look at the story. MvGinchey overcame a quad injury in the beginning of the year and took him time to get to speed. While yes he allowed a ton of sacks, his PFF grades are amazing. Better than any lineman we have now... and you say his is not good? just stop... he is one of the 2 chess pieces we need on this line and if we can double dip in the draft to find the other pieces so be it. -

Perhaps Kromer is overrated as an OLine coach?

My brother's best friend's niece told his girlfriend's great uncle that his best friend's fathers friend thought the same thing.

thanks for the update lmao... word.

Phins are going to have one year of regression. Miami does not have the LBS and the S's for what he runs... and they wont be able to draft to adjust in one year

yea this is why I posted the above. How can we the fans judge one person on doing what we don't see when there is just so much more involved? and by the way.... Tasker is getting SLAMMED for this dumb post. -

Lol Lets break this mess down... the Who, The responsibilities that concern the line on any given play and my personal opinions. Variables and Bottom Line to follow. Who: <Responsibilities> <Personal Opinion> GM: Is the gm doing the right job getting the right type of OL Men we need? NO We need a line that can pass protect better than run block. HC: How much of the offensive scheme is on the HC and how involved is he imposing his will on the overall Scheme. Defensive HC is invoved but not enough to change a ton OC: Is putting the best players out there going from one year to the next? Is his play designs on the OL proper to the play? For example, for screens is his lines running the right stunts? is he play calling for what the OL Does best? We do not use the whole field, We need routs that take up the field more that splits the defenders up more. 3 man routs for example on first and 10, 2 going deep, another going 10 yards+ and HB hitting flat. This is not using the whole field. TEC: Are the TE's doing a good enough job chipping at the line? I think the TE's do an average to good job chipping away at the OL as they go out to receive. HBC: When they go out to catch, how often are HB's helping by chipping at the line? I think if HB's are going out to receive with this line? they need to chip more OLC: Is the OLC Teaching these guys proper technique? Only the Coaches on the field can tell if he is doing a good job. NO WAY can anyone not on the field tell us otherwise. Variables: OC needs better play designs then what we are running right now. IF JA is audabising away from the play to frequently then it is up to the coaches to tell him to knock it off. QB needs to trust the play caller coming in and not think he has to gun it 10+ yards on every down Plays need to be designed so the HB and the TE's are either staying in to block OR Chipping and not just free running. Thats how you help the OL. The OLC needs to know when his line needs help and remind the coaches more when they are failing. These PFF grades? just the overall right? where we failing more? what is the breakdown? We failing more at pass protection or run blocking? PFF is a GREAT TOOL if your not just looking at ONE number. Bottom Line you guys want to just put the blame game on one person? keep rolling with that! -

Blame can be spread to a ton of coaches and not just one if you ask yourself the smart questions.
