  1. I am pretty sure that is what doc just said lol
  2. yep I been saying it for a long time and people don't get it. What BPA really means is Valued need.
  3. right now? of course!!! but you add a dude line Henrry to this line up (not to say it would even remotely happen) Both players are going to make an OL way better then how they really are. This cant really be argued can it?
  4. I would argue that a dude named Derrik Henry way more often than not, gets the first player to miss thus making an OL look much better than it really is. BPA at Value sums it up perfectly. well said.
  5. sigh. this conversation comes up every year around this time. 1. You have a set of positions of need and a rank for how high the need is 2. Your draft nominees have your own GM ranking system that is ranked by talent. 3. When the draft pick comes they look at their needs and look at what is left in the draft talent wise for the position. So. GM has a set of ranks for potential draft picks and a set of ranks where they need players. Then they choose by what is the best talented player for their top few needs. Another words.. IF the GM's needs in this order are WR, OL, HB (just as an example) and the most talented by far player left is a HB, then they will choose HB. If HB is BPA (Best Player Available) to their needs, but OL is a very close second and OL is a much higher scaled need? Then they will do a slight "reach" to get their need because the talented player levels are close enough to do so. None of has have a CLUE what our GM and HC draft philosophies are other than... we have a defensive minded HC. Another words.. BPA is a real thing, yet it is not as simple as that.
  6. 2021 he was out half of the season with injury 2022 he was with a team that he was top WR on a team that DID NOT PASS MUCH... Ten. If we going to slam the guy... lets at least get all the info left. I trust this coaching to know if a guy is washed up or not. Comes back home to a low contract YES absolutely. The dude going to play like he needs to prove something....
  7. the biggest, fattest and most mobile OL Man we can get. Might look something like this.
  8. i doubt 2/3rds of these choices make it to 27 no disrespect towards OP but that is the issue
  9. I think Jaxon Smith-Njigba will be off the board by the time we get to him sadly. after that, I go by who I think has the highest ceiling. O’Cyrus Torrence G, our eventual Center maybe.
  10. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/02/21/matt-araiza-not-signing-with-mexican-team-after-all/
  11. then again maybe not. he did not sign with mexico Edited: I thought I read somewhere that he was done with football. cant find it now so obviously i was wrong
  12. Chaos, your title to this thread is kind of an oxymoron (and no, I am not calling you that lol) Saying a draft pick will replace Edmunds is like using a crystal ball. The draft is a crap shoot. Could be better, worse or the same and to each extreme. This player has the potential yep, I will agree. BUT!!! I would never use "Suitable Edmunds Replacements in the draft" on any player replacing Edmunds because Edmunds is far from the best and much further from backup caliber. You never know in the draft. I LIKE THE PICK THOUGH
  13. yea nice try. I said the statement was a joke. I never called you a joke. and I proved it. and the best you could do is try and make it personal. nice try.
  14. your joking right? Look.. I am not saying Davis did a good job but lets be honest with each other about this video. passes H= Hard Catch E= Easy Catch #1 E #2 E #3 H Low throw #4 E #5 H he was WELL covered, hot ball came to high high and off his hands. (I would call this the typical WR drop Though so lets put this in the middle) #6 1:09 mark HARD. well covered and was hit when the ball arrived. #7 H I mean come on. that was an under thrown ball #8 H but he should have caught this.. will give this one to ya #9 H That ball was thrown way to hard. could he of caught it? yes. but the point of this exercise is, how hard of catches were these attempts? #10 3 seconds third and goal off the fingertips in sideline/endzone. this was so hard of a catch I thought it was funny they sneaked this one in for seconds. #11 HARD I mean come on.. the dude jumped up and went off his finger tips... please #12 2 defenders draped all over him. even if he had a closer attempt to catch that? would it of been stripped? #13 another 4 second catch while Davis was falling to his knees reaching out for a pass... H H H #14 Last one? got hit at same time ball arrived. that is a hard catch to make. You think Diggs dropped easy ones? yep.. but go watch that video again... and see how many of those catches were hard to make. NOW... to your point.. a WR is EXPECTED to make some hard catches... BUT... this video... how it was posted and edited was clearly made for clicks. Crunch it down? I bet we have a minute 20 seconds of catches he should have made. I would gamble Diggs having about a minute of catches he should have made could be created as well. Lots of 3-5 second uncatchable balls put in this vid. if this is the only reply you could come up with and try and make it personal? Then your just as vile as the rest of the trolls on this board.... And to be honest until now Gob? I would of never said that.
  15. LOL Over targeted? what a joke. Diggs 154, Davis 93, Knox 65, McKenzie 65 You want to take 20 targets away from your #2 WR... the #2 WR that was supposed to have a breakout year? and give to Knox? Look... Knox is talented but hes not top 5 material thus you do not treat Knox as such. It's Cooks rookie year, Remember how it started with the dropped passes/fumbles? There was a reason Cook was not out a ton the first half of the season. Over Hated? No. Under qualified for the #2 position? yes. Its funny how we feel a player does not fit in a position and for gods sakes we must all hate the dude... Your post is filled with horrible narratives.
  16. i would argue how many of these Diggs would catch
  17. this data is comparing his numbers from 21-22 and not what he did 22-23. he REGRESSED big time. Gabe's catch rate is extremely low this year. They put him at #2 WR and HE FAILED... Why do you think they rushed to add wr's at the end of the year? cause if Gabe was doing his job then it would not be an issue. Someone around here with full PFF stats, please show this guy what gabe produced and his numbers compared to others on this list this LAST YEAR... not the year before... please... your acting like this year didnt happen
