  1. So tell me... if we flipped mahomes to this roster and Josh Allen to KC roster? what team would win? a Mahomes with Bills roster or a Allen with KC roster?
  2. That is a fair answer though I think most would say no way in heck. cheers
  3. would this be the case if KC did not have a dude named Kelce?
  4. no where on here does it say position of value equates to how much they make on here. What they are saying here and I quote "But the concept of “BPA” is fairly trite and actually absurd in practice." To this point the writer is right. Then they go on and talk about Wins above replacement (war) again.. nothing to do with how a team values a position going into a draft. Then the article goes into Cap implications by drafting a player.. This is positional WORTH not value. No where in that article do they mention positional value. (other than title) The first Paragraph reads "NFL GMs often describe drafting the “best player available” — deferring to their draft boards and letting the draft come to them. But the concept of “BPA” is fairly trite and actually absurd in practice. Adhering to such a standard is how you draft a kicker in the second round or a running back No. 2 overall. In an abstract sense, both may have been the best talents relative to their positions at that moment in the draft. But football isn’t played in the abstract, and the very real concept of positional value cannot be ignored when building a team. While having a complete roster looks great on paper, the fact of the matter is that not all positions are created equal." BOLDED that is what I have been saying all along. To the second bolded, positions are not created equal do to their need on that team. EVERYTHING I have been saying. Now.. when they go to the draft.. Yes they look at money that will be spent in the future with how much they already will spend? yes.. absolutly but yet.. no where in those paragraphs does it say "position of value". "Salary camp implications" and "positional drafting" have nothing to do with "positional value" What this article is saying is there is a lot more involved than just one set of numbers. Future Cap Implications, War and positional need all factor into "positional value" yet... in your quote earlier you just tried compare cap implications to position of value.. WRONG... there is way more involved.. even above what this article does not talk about.. more specifically need. Next time you link us something, read the whole article and not just one part and call us "For ignorant vomiters:" As I said earlier.. BPA in general is a myth but when many on these boards use the letters BPA, they put value, need, cap implications ALL of it into the conversation. Anyone that says we should draft Best Player Available and ignore the rest is wrong. LIKE i been saying and others too.
  5. positional value = need. teams give their own personal value on positions due to need. but yea I agree... It has not changed on these boards for years. still won't. Bottom line, people have the right to think what they want... right, wrong or indifferent. is what it is you know I am on board with you on this.
  6. I am not sure you are getting it Chaos. Some people think BPA what ever the best player is on the board YOU TAKE! others think of BPA is Best Player Available at Value... and that is how they really draft. They have a value at every position at every level of the draft. where as Round 1 is highest value is WR for example so there might be a say a HB there that is slightly better than a WR, then they will still go WR cause of the value they have on that position in that round. Others think BPA in that same example you should take the HB because he is slightly better. Its train of thought of what BPA means to people and again here I am another year before another draft, explaining this all over again.. for the second time this year. Thats why you got the dislikes and the pukes on your OP.
  7. Ok House.. I am going to play this different. I did a lot of mid-round scouting this year.. Lets try this. Player # 1 Demarvion Overshown LB, Texas Round 3 Player # 2 Luke Schoonmaker, TE, Michigan Round 4
  8. seriously, what does he expect to get for him? a 4th rounder backup at best? when i hear the word shopped, to me its someone talented that many want.. Mac Jones is a really good backup qb . low tier starter at best.
  9. they said the same exact thing in the Hockenson draft, same thing i heard in the Freiermuth draft not so long ago.... so yea..
  10. Kelce type player? you kidding me? lol the Gronks and the Kelce's come once every 10 years or so.. the question is just stupid captain obvious, so I am bored, and I am going to see who bites type of question... WR... OBVIOUSLY lol
  11. I think where McD will improve this defense (or hope he improves) is solid play by play situational awareness and aggressiveness where/when needed. for example,, how many times did we complain that we did not blitz enough against rookie QB's over the last 3 years... I think McD will do better in these areas. Here's for hoping. Cheers
  12. 31 year old won't mess up the comps yep Me either
  13. sometimes you need to make lateral moves in order to survive bad cap situations. i got so many against this idea i miss read your original post. Thanks... I hope your wrong too ha ha... we will see
  14. accept they not overlooking the OL this year. What we did in FA proves that fact used the wrong word in the middle of 3 nephews having a hissy fit. God I love babysitting lol. I did not mean that word. thanks i will edit.
  15. so as far as the numbers? his value is 1.8 if this is his last year it would be closer to 1.1. they just numbers and YES.. assumptions. I would be fine to get this dude at 1.8
  16. I keep hearing this Narrative that Beane and McD are stubborn and stuck with Brown, yet no one has any proof, any voice conversation or video of them saying this.. So, to me because of what I just said, It feels to me like a false narrative. The fact is right now he is as good as Dawkins as you say then at 1.8 mil he would be an easy decision to add to the roster yes?
  17. aggression. i think we get out of the nickel more and flip to 4-3/Dime with more situational awareness. I think we have to find more unique ways of sending pressure and I trust McD can do that more than Frazier can. You can also disguise your defense more too.
  18. To the bolded, this is how I feel and I feel like I am being slammed for it. Is this not a win now team? does this GM like drafting defense in early rounds? 1-2? Why not plug what many feel is a hole at RT? IDK if it would turn him off or not.. I think at that age at this point.. its just about getting the money and finishing his career on a strong note.
  19. so next year Morse will be paid the 10th highest at Center. (as of now) Dawkins is 10th highest paid at LT so I would argue about us just going cheap with low end spenders. by the way. This guy would be considered a low end spender at 1.8 mil Why because I suggested we bring in a guy that could start and at the least could be a really good swing depth T. ? stop.. You said I said things I never said and I called you on it and now its a horrible thread. good for you.
  20. I have not assumed anything of what you say here. Nothing of what you said in this sentence is in my words. Go back and read WHAT i quoted. your alone in right field with no balls headed your way.
