He has done NOTHING to prove that he can be a true #2 WR in this league.. Because of that, that contract is to much.
and and for christ sakes.. can we get someone with some speed please? 4:51 ... come on...

This doesn't include the Josh Allen deal which should provide significant savings, if it had been an extension then I think we could have said that it would have saved about $11M in cap savings but since its a brand new deal, not exactly sure since there is no reference point to compare to. This truly was something new and innovative.
If I had to take a guess it would probably save somewhere between $8 - $20M in cap savings. I think we are probably somewhere around $15 - $25M under the cap.
Other things they could do.
Extend Cook: Would provide around $3.4m in cap savings
Extend Benford: Would provide around $1.8M in cap savings
Restructure Dion Dawkins: would provide around $9.8M in cap savings
Cut Daquan Jones: Would provide about $1.8 in cap savings
Restructure Ed Oliver: Would provide around $8.7M in cap savings
Extend Conner McGovern: Would provide $4.2M in cap savings
Cut Trubisky: Would provide $2.5M in cap savings
Pay cut for Dawson Knox: Could be between $2-$3M in cap savings
This is around another $30M on top of the approximately $20M they are under now.
Not saying they will do all these things but these would be reasonable moves that I believe could fit in to their long term goals.
you push all this money "down field" eventually your going to eventually be put right back into the worst team in cap hell down the road.. naw.. We have to stomach some of this.. this year..

we are a little under cap by 6.5 mil. I do not see any other contract extensions that is going to give us much more than this. Maybe we can get to +10 mil?

In the 4th round pick 128th pick.. The Buffalo Bills Select Tyleik Williams, DT.. Ohio State 6'3, 334... We don't need a guy that puts up a ton of stats at that position.. but what we need him to do is take up 2 lineman.. the dude is a beast and he's moving up the draft board. With Oliver next to that and a sack master next to Oliver? The line will be a beast.. naw.. if we get anyone for the line that will be a good cap hit? it should be a sack master DE. Beane will fill the position with someone big old and cheap, .. its going to tick everyone off.. then we go get an upgrade in the draft.

2 years in a row?

They should of done this 5-10 years ago.
All you have to do is put in a chip and mend it inside a football on each end.
Everyone in the world will know instantly if/when the ball crosses the first down marker.
it wont lie.
Its one less way the Refs can cheat a game.

I think arguments can be made for all three to be the best for different reasons, but if I had to rank them, I would give a slight edge to Josh Allen over OJ, with Thurman's really impressive season 3rd.
Who ya got??
OJ Simpson:
In 14 Games......
Rushed for 2,003 yards and 12 touchdowns
Led the NFL in rushing attempts (332) and rushing touchdowns (12)
Averaged 143.1 yards rushing per game
Had three 200-yard rushing games, six 150-yard rushing games, and eleven 100-yard rushing games
Thurman Thomas:
In 16 games.....
Rushing: 1,407 yards on 339 attempts
Receiving: 62 receptions for 631 yards
Touchdowns: 12 touchdowns
All-purpose yards: Over 2,000 yards
Josh Allen:
In 17 starts(truly 16 games played)........
Completion percentage: 63.6%
Passing yards: 3,731
Passing TDs: 28
Interceptions: 6
Yards per attempt: 7.7
Passer rating: 101.4
QBR: 77.3
Rushing yards: 531
Rushing TDs: 12
Yards per carry: 5.2
I picked OJ but lets be honest here.. This is 3 different era's of football we are talking about. While OJ played, it was way more common to build teams around the run then the pass. During Thurman's year, protection schemes balanced and the ball started to get thrown more often. Now offensive lines are more built on defending the passer. OJ edges this one out.. but only by the tip of his nose..

this is a 100% Colts/Manning scenario brewing.. but not till the last 3-4 years of his career.. we have time..
-
Didn't the Bills have a couple times where they were down to 1 year left a couple times and that summer, they came to a deal?
No way they do not figure out a deal.. that would be hard to believe.

To give him the benefit of a doubt, it could be that (in a positive sense) it is always "WE" - as in "we the team" whether win or lose
nah i call that back yard BS.. you commit a penalty.. you yell and scream then its "on me" "lets get this back" You make game costly penalties its on ME.. I need to get better.. then.. we can get better as a team moving forward.
I can not ever see in any given scenario where JA has Int's and a fumble and does not say "I cant make those mistakes.. that was on me" JA Always owns up. Lamar does not.. sorry.. lol much respect. we can live to agree to disagree on this one yes? lol

Well, it was "we". Lamar & Andrews. 😄
No.. screw the andrews drop.. IF Lamar did not fumble the ball.. thats a different game same goes for his int.. though we did not score points on it we should have..
Lamar choaked... again.. its a Lamar issue

Baltimore scared the eff out of me.. the moment we had to play them..
KC Does not..
We taking it all the way this year....
-
MY personal opinion.. The dude was just at the podium.. and it was "WE" need to do this better "WE" cant be turning the ball over..
If That Was JA it would of been him taking accountability saying "I cant turn the ball over" "I did things I could of done differently"
Lamar.. WE WE WE WE...
JA I I I I
Lamar has no accountability. Horrible look for Lamar.. the playoff choak artist.. ..

How many snaps do you think we’ll play with Milano-Bernard-Dorian? I’m thinking we play around 25-30% but I hope it’s more. I think it’ll be the key to winning or losing
I’d much rather have Dorian Williams out then than Hamlin. Our LB unit can be a strength. We have 3 guys that can run and hit. Hamlin does neither. Let’s stack the box on 1st and 2nd and spy him on 3rd. Let Lamar beat us in the air. If they score (and they probably will either way) and least it will be quick which also give us more opportunities.
I just don’t want to see a slow death of constant Henry and Jackson runs getting 5-15 yards every play. I think that’ll happen if Hamlin plays 💯 like he did yesterday. I think Bishop would be a better option if we go with 2 safeties.
really hope to see Benford-Taron-Rapp-Douglas-Dorian-Bernard-Milano
What percent do you think we need to play in order to win?
Do you think we will win if we play 💯 nickel-dime?
First off... Great Topic and Great Poll. For a year now you and I have kind of gone back and forth on this. I personally think.. If we had an elite trustworthy S. We would do 4-3 more often.. but we don't.. As for this game.. I am between the 10-30 range on plays. IF we do.. Our OLB's need to have superb Edge control or Lamar's speed will gash us.

It’s probably a handoff…
but I say let Amari and Keon run go routes and try to hit a 70 yard TD 😆
how about a 3 HB formation and they all go out on 35 yard routs. The book is out that we pass to our HB's at will.. Lets finish the book with a bang and call it a day lol.

I am generally out by 1 as well. Been out by two a couple of times. I think 11 wins as well. 11-6 and enough to win the AFC East.
your pick was safe. That being said, I don't think any of us would of predicted 10 or less to win the division. Shocking part of the story.

Barkley is going to get votes when he breaks the all time season rushing record next week. Definitely won't be unanimous and maybe closer than people think as award is week to week narrative. So see both Barkley breaking the record and Lamar putting up numbers next week to make it close.
Barkley will get votes. If people think this is just about Josh and Lamar then they will be mistaken. If people think JA has this by a ton... they will be even more sorely mistaken...

I think Allen has it wrapped up, although it won't be unanimous. Could be given to both, but the arguments about wins, Henry, and pre-season takes outweigh the stats argument, which is hardly a slam dunk anyway. Also, Allen has a far more jaw-dropping plays. Jackson's has a few, including some electrifying runs, but most are rainbow throws to wide-open receivers.
It never is... But I feel the votes will be heavily split this year between the top 3. because of that... It could hurt Allens chances.
Joey Bosa signs with Buffalo. 1 year, $12.6 million

This is not at you or against you but in my opinion, BPA is over used on these forums. Because its never BPA.. You go into the draft with your top needs the positional grade value's your board needs. Then you draft.. IF at our pick BPA happens to be a TE by far? are we going to pick a TE? No.. does not work that way.. Just thought I would put in my 2 cents on BPA.
