I think that’s because they’re of the belief we’re going to run more and be more balanced.  But I’d bust that over.

Guess the yardage - here is mine (roughly) and this I think is the absolute floor:

    Shakir - 80 catches 1,000

    Kincaid - 85 catches 800

    Samuel - 60 catches 800

    Coleman - 50 catches 600

    Other WRs/TEs - 40 catches 300

    RBs - 50 catches 400

    Total - 365 catches 3900 yards

Based on Shakir's averages last year, If Shakir gets 80 catches... that is 1100 yards easy.

Curtis Samuel! That quick hit pass for a first down was a beauty! He has speeeeeed! Then the one shorty over the  middle. Bullet to him by Allen and it reminded me of the quick hits to Diggs. Shakir looked solid. The run blocking was abismal... hopefully the O line was dogging it.

to be able to do that, its not just speed but the ability to turn and burn,,... Knowing where to sneak through for those extra yards.  Smoke did this very well.

I always feel nicknames should be earned.  Dalton Kincaid is The Hellhound, he started last year and I truly think he's going to earn that name this year.  If you've read The Desden files you understand the source.  But this team prides is self on having dogs and that dog mentality.  Well no dog is as feared as the Hellhoud.

    The name is Dalton.

    Road House.

He does not need a nickname.

If you have 53 man active and 2 on your IR you can activate how many do you have total to work with?  Technically you are right in that there is a 53 man roster but you can have more than that with guys on various lists that also count vs your cap.

IR is IR 53 man is 53 man. We all know about the IR rule.. if your going to name 55 at least name the 2 that you feel will be going on IR yes?  every name he mentioned is unlikely going on the IR as of now... so the list is invalid. Lets be real about it lol.

Well the "53 man roster" is a misnomer of sorts.  Literally every year the Bills and many teams cut to 53, put a guy on IR and sign a guy the next day back to the 53....the Bills cut their long snapper Reid Ferguson routinely with a wink/nod he will be back tomorrow.  Also this year I believe you can put two guys on IR before cuts and still cut to 53 man active roster so their is easily a path to 55-56 guys "making it".  And those two guys can come off IR later which is new.   The downside of this is all their salaries count towards the cap.

I d o not see this talked about anywhere.. either way... a 53 man roster is a 53 man roster lol

Black helmet with White on it would look way better with 1 Jersey and Blue pants. That being said, the brightness on this video does not do the helmet justice. Red looked way more vivid than this live.

Belichick breaking down film: "And that's how you win games in your coaching career without Tom Brady.....oh, wait a minute"

getting great QB's is a crap shoot.

I will argue that Belichick did great for the garbage fed to him over the past couple years. Hes a great Coach and a bad GM.  He had to much Skin in the game when it came to getting players in on that team.

I will Enjoy watching that show.

PT, I've been wrong about a lot of things which I happily admit.  No one's right all the time.  I don't know what my batting percentage is and don't care.  I'll guess it's fairly good, like a lot of other informed fans, despite your low opinion.  But even if I was only batting .200, it wouldn't matter.   I'm just a fan and not paid to be right.

I did NOT delete my initial post.  It's still there, the first post in the thread.

I did NOT present any unproven facts as facts. I made some speculations based on what we were all seeing.  Sorry if you added up the same observations and came to the wrong conclusion.

I was NEVER laughed off the board.  I'm here reading and posting shamelessly nearly ever day.

The soldiers I went to war with, the people I've worked with, my friends and family know my true character.  This board is a lark, a hobby.   It both informs and amuses me, whether people agree with me or not.  When people agree with me, it does nothing for my overall self-esteem or general happiness.  When people disagree, again it does nothing for my self-esteem or happiness.  Even your ill-informed attack only made me smile because it's so delightfully warped.

someone quoted you and the when you click to its origins just like these replies, its deleted.

I'm bumping this to gloat a bit.

I got beat up for this thread: told the thread was "garbage," seeing "drama that wasn't there," and so on.

Apologies aren't necessary, but I am open to redemptive cash donations.  🙂

We all know that Allen and Diggs are/were best friends.  We also all know what happened with Diggs at the end of the last season.

Recently, Allen was asked if his relationship with Diggs was still solid.  He responded, "Absolutely...  Stef's gonng be Stef.  I love the guy. He is one of my favorite people on this planet. He is so fiery, so competitive. He wants the ball in his hands 24/7, and I’m never going to not like a guy like that. He wants what’s best for the team.”

To me, that sounds a lot like coach-speak.  Allen keeps it positive, as he should.  But he never actually says that he and Diggs are still talking, hanging out, playing games together, acting like brothers from different mothers...  And his comment, "I'm never going to dislike a guy like that" came off as a little odd to me.  Who said anything about disliking?  Do you have reasons to dislike Stef that you're overcoming?

I'm not going to churches, temples, synagogues, and mosques, bawling my eyes out, earnestly praying for divine intervention for them to patch things up.  But I do have some concerns about their relationship this year.  I hope those concerns are wrong.

Don't give us that garbage Hondo.   You made lots of guesses, that some came out right and some wrong. You deleted your initial post cause hit has so many unproven facts (at the time) you got laughed at off the board and you deleted your original post.   You get a medal for Guessing a couple things right... but there was a whole lot of guessing. Thats all you get.. so keep bumping this thread and enjoy those "guessing medals" on your chest.  At that point during the year NO ONE new facts, so the guessing games you played... well you got what you deserved...

Yes it's on the athletic and paywalled but its excellent.

    https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5648468/2024/07/22/buffalo-bills-defense-terrel-bernard-injury-linebacker/

    here is a snippet...

Bernard led the Bills in tackles while recording 6.5 sacks, nine quarterback hits, three interceptions and three fumble recoveries. In the dominant playoff victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, he made four tackles, broke up two passes and recovered a fumble despite lasting just 32 plays, his dislocated right ankle requiring the medical cart to drive him away.

He would have made a difference in the three-point loss to Kansas City. He’s a rising star, while replacement A.J. Klein had been cut from the practice squad a month earlier and reckoned himself retired before an emergency recall to Buffalo’s injury-tattered roster as the postseason began.

Bernard would have made more effective stops, would have been harder for Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce to handle, would have been a calmer presence in relaying the signals and recognizing plays, would have given McDermott enough confidence in his defense to avoid risking a direct snap to safety Damar Hamlin for an unsuccessful fake punt because giving the ball back to Mahomes felt like surrender.

So, look... I liked Edmunds (not loved) Liked Hyde and Poyer (Not ), I think the 3 positions we had filled on this defense did not fit the need.

    1. We lacked a LB who had solid play recognition in the middle of the line. Bernard fixed that.

    2. We lacked Solid athletic with size at the safety position. We now have that.

    3. We lacked speed on the back end... We fixed that too.

I am excited about this defense moving forward..
