The peril of ignoring analytics
PrimeTime101 replied to WIDE LEFT's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you guys can talk Analytics till your blue in the face... None of those Analytics support being more aggressive on either side of the ball. The questions on how to beat KC is easy.. Top 3 defense with a run game LIKE what Miami had OR... you out gun them. Like the Raiders did. Now.. we all THOUGHT going into this year we had a top 3 defense. Then these same Analytics you guys speak of told us Josh Is playing amazing ball and our defense is struggling. Now.. If you want to put ANYTHING on McD' through out this year its "wth is up with our defense" this year? the answer is easy... We spent $104 mil on Defense this year 17% of that on failing Defensive Tackles that for most of the games could not shed a block if they were paid to do so... oh wait they were... and on the Edge ? Addison who could only manage ONE SACK this year and Hughes through the regular season only put up 4.5 sacks. That was our problem. In short. We spent $104 mil on defense expecting our defense to take us home while our offense just gets the job done.. Instead reverse roll. tell me folks.. If we had Miami's Defense with our Offense.. Who in the heck you think would of won that game? We expected our defense do be as good as Miami's defense and the grape didnt make it out of the gate... -
First round I think we go RB all the way maybe Najee Harris(essentiality another pass catcher 7 receptions for 70 yards against osu. ) out of Alabama. and I feel second and third round we are going to tend towards the defense side of the ball. I just cant see WR in early rounds this year. If we replace Brown instead of the ability to rework Browns contract then they will address it in FA. we have a dual threat QB and having a dual threat HB like Najee Harris would bring this team into the next stratosphere Harris is 6'2 runs a 40 in around 4.45 decent catch radius. I know you folks were thinking TE or WR but... Im thinking what this dude can do in the open field compared what we have lol... rework Browns contract this year. I realize this is not the most popular move for this draft out of some of ya BUT.. lets try and keep what we got get what we can out of the draft this year. We in to much cap hell right now. Every time I mention RB I hear... we not in 2011 or we don't need a great RB.... We don't Run 35 times a game any more with our RB;s blah blah blah blah blah... The insane threat of a dangerous RB makes passing much easier and teams trying to come up with a strategy against us will have nightmares... will they run to open up the pass or pass to open up the run. Balance. Sorry If I was off topic here.. I just don't see us picking up another strong WR or TE in FA or in Draft. A Solid b+ runner fixes our offense,, and one at that, that can catch the dam ball

I would love this poll go public so the trolls can be seen.. no way we have this many people rooting for Brady.... Tell me it aint so?

You know what I noticed? WHY is Oliver in there for only 57%.. that number should be more like 75%.. Isn't there such thing as substituting to much taking away what a player does or could do? I'm sorry Oliver is supposed to be your DT of the future and you play him 57%? that's not enough for a player that's supposed to be a higher caliber player 5 DT your bringing in an out of a game and Zimmer 20% why? especially at DT.. wth?

Daboll apologized to Beasley, Diggs after loss
PrimeTime101 replied to Michael1962's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a simple question for you all. Is what our OC did this game enough where any of you feel we have to move on from him? -
I could sum up everything you said in a few words "we lost in the trenches" Totally agree with all of this

Bilechick heritage after this season

I think this question has been asked and answered many times on these forums. -
My personal thoughts about this game.
PrimeTime101 replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
mm I saw a play early that you could of called pi or holding on 2 different players on same play. Refs not knowing what they can or cant review.. just stupid stuff oh my gosh YES YES YES lol nice gif -
Our WR crew was beat up.. could not move as fast and it was a problem.. seemed like they could not create room between themselves and the defender. Josh had the Jitters and I am ok with it.. his first AFC champ game and that how it is with some people. Our sins caught up to us. This team does not need a big running game but we need the threat of it. They were not scared of our running which turned us one dimensional Coaching has to be more aggressive against high scoring teams... both sides of the ball. It was a learning moment. Out classed. Every part of that KC team is just a little better then we are and the best team won. Refs... They were not the reason we lost but it didn't help. bad or missed calls just drains the energy right out of you. We need a better solution for handling TE's.. TE's have broken our backs for years. We need lots of upgrades and not same grade replacements. The Fix There is no fix other then to stay healthier Playoff experience will help.. this is not the end for Josh its the beginning We need a HB that doesn't need to have the threat to go the distance but be consistent at gashing the defense few times a game. They cant cover a top 15 HB and this WR core at the same time... KC had 0 fears over our play action and it showed. I don't think Moss is the answer either I think the coaches will look over there own film and realize the mistakes.. I am not to worried here Again.. We need to replace with better quality not same quality lol,, Take them to the back yard back up 10 yards and if you cant tell your holding up 2 fingers then I don't know what to say... to old maybe I really Don't know the fix on this.. .Defending TE's has been an issue for this team feels like since day one... I already answered this one but we need help in places like RB, O'Line, Speed Edge guy, Speed OLB and a true #2 CB But there is a preverbal "light at the end of the tunnel" We have our QB and #1 WR for a long time to come and those 2 will just keep getting better. On defense I feel we need a complete system change. Hope Fraiser is gone.

I believe many were offended by stop it. .. I would not of wanted the first person on my post to say it same with if you made a new thread and the very first post is just "stop it" and nothing else.. that is offensive and would never do that to a persons post like that. as for this reply I agree and maybe the better thing is to articulate this comment into the "stop it" comment so it didn't look or the feel of being harsh all that being said I agree... there is no easy answer

So...are Edmunds and Oliver good?
PrimeTime101 replied to Reader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
dude young has nothing to do with it when its your third year in the league. how many years of experience he need to get better? youth is a horrible excuse -
Teef I have been a supporter of most of your material on these boards for a long time and mucho respect for you BUT When you say "stop it" in these boards its like telling someone to shut up. Its a smack in the face. It feels personal when you say that. Conjure up an argument.. say why you disagree... and if you can't accomplish that... go find content in the thread you do agree with that goes against what the OP says... Just wondering. did you think this thread was directed right at you? why say shut up? sorry its just not the Teef we have all come to love and respect.

Cole Beasley broke his damn fibula vs Patriots Week 16
PrimeTime101 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a good reason why our WR crew did not get more then a half yard away from players... they were ALL beat up.. every one of them -
So...are Edmunds and Oliver good?
PrimeTime101 replied to Reader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ok people saying Edmunds should be OLB but his cover skills, especially this last game was sketchy... I am done making excuses for these guys and people say he needs to be at de or better tech DT next to him.. his ceiling was supposed to be aaron darnald and thats not close! Edmunds and Oliver are fit players with other players already in place.. not the other way around. I also feel defense play-calling has been suspect at times in these playoffs. You have to put your front 7 in position to do good and IT felt like we were out of position all year long I think Edmunds would make a better 3-4 ILB then 4-3 and to be honest I think this Nickle 4-2-5 defense has sucked at times and we need to get out of it... Oliver makes 2 plays a game just enough to make you see him then disappears
