I doubted Beane when we cut Hauschka for a rookie kicker, but Beane lookin like a genius.

Not surprising at all. He’ll get a Mahomes level deal (and rightfully so).

Key to the game is taking the lead early on. It’s no secret that Indy is going to try and ground and pound us in this one. They want nothing more than to run the ball all game, control the clock and keep our offense off the field. If we score early, this will force them out of that gameplan and Rivers will need to start slinging it (where forcing him into a mistake becomes more likely). If they get up on us early, could be bad news.

I’m becoming increasingly worried for this game for the following reasons: 1) Phil Rivers is 17 year veteran, he’s been here before, won’t be phased by the moment. He’ll have that offense prepared for whatever we throw at them. 2) All the pressure is on us to win, how will we handle it? We know JA is a stud, but how will he handle the pressure of this game if things get tight? Going back to last years debacle in the playoffs, we were crushing Houston then Houston woke up and got things going and we folded like a cheap suit. It’s been a awhile since this team has faced any adversity. If we struggle early or get behind will the team play tight?
