Not surprising at all. He’ll get a Mahomes level deal (and rightfully so).

Key to the game is taking the lead early on. It’s no secret that Indy is going to try and ground and pound us in this one. They want nothing more than to run the ball all game, control the clock and keep our offense off the field. If we score early, this will force them out of that gameplan and Rivers will need to start slinging it (where forcing him into a mistake becomes more likely). If they get up on us early, could be bad news.

I’m becoming increasingly worried for this game for the following reasons: 1) Phil Rivers is 17 year veteran, he’s been here before, won’t be phased by the moment. He’ll have that offense prepared for whatever we throw at them. 2) All the pressure is on us to win, how will we handle it? We know JA is a stud, but how will he handle the pressure of this game if things get tight? Going back to last years debacle in the playoffs, we were crushing Houston then Houston woke up and got things going and we folded like a cheap suit. It’s been a awhile since this team has faced any adversity. If we struggle early or get behind will the team play tight?

People just underestimated him because he went to Wyoming and didn’t put up crazy numbers. But, he had the physical traits, the arm talent, the athleticism, and, most importantly the mental makeup (leader, IQ) to be a very good QB, he just needed to work on some things to get it to all come together. Especially with QBs, I think some guys (example Tua, Darnold, Haskins) come out of college over hyped because they played on really good college teams and this inflated their stock. Don’t overlook the guy from the little school.

NFL is not going to accommodate anyone unless it’s Mahomes or Rodgers that get it. it’s really worrisome, because if a team does have an outbreak there really isn’t much time to reschedule game without it impacting the next round. No way the NFL pushes back date of Super Bowl. Maybe they use the BYe week before Super Bowl as buffer?

Ken Dorsey is going to our next OC when Daboll gets poached in the coming weeks.

I think Wilson will be good. He’s got a big arm, mobile and cocky. Pair him with Daboll and could be bad news for us.

Nightmare scenario: Daboll goes to Jets and drafts Zach Wilson.

Washington has solid, young team. Lots of talent on D. Good rookie RB. Won the division with a QB that has a reconstructed leg.

Allen wasn’t coming off off-season hip surgery tho. Just a prime example of throwing out a QB before he’s ready. I’m not complaining tho. I implore all of our division rivals to have incompetent FOs like this.

In regards to Tua, I think the Dolphins FO and coaching staff royally f’d up the management of Tua. The dude wasn’t really supposed to see the field this year. He’s one year removed from significant hip injury/surgery. Instead, their stupid FO wanted to see Tua on the field (mostly I think due to how well Herbert was playing). Fitz was playing well at that point in the season, but FO forced coaching staff hand to change QBs which is a big no-no. jury is still out on Tua obviously, but his FO did him no favors by forcing out there before he was ready. If they would’ve just stuck with Fitz, they’re in the playoffs now.

Ditto this. One thing that can definitely derail us (or anybody for that matter).

Browns-Steelers and Bucs-Wash/NYG scream Sunday. I think they plug us into the 1 or 440 slot on Saturday.

Colts D is solid. Darius Leonard is one best LBs in league. It’s the playoffs tho, anything can happen!
