What's the irony?
-
I mean, did you not see the screen he turned in to a first down on the first drive on third and 9? I believe that first down set the tone for the game. We're so much better just without Gabe, in general.
-
She is on TV a total of 15 seconds a game......... I'm sick of her too but the whole "she's always on TV" thing is so untrue..... There is a pie chart that breaks it down... it's literally 15 seconds a game. MAYBE

We are literally 9-2 and have the best start in over 30 years yet people are trying to complain and find something wrong with the best football player in the NFL that happens to be our QB... it's actually insane.

What do you smoke / take / sniff on a daily basis? Where can I find it?

This was suppose to be a rebuild year
warrior9 replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, i mean when you have JA, rebuilding doesn't exist. Chiefs lost 4 starters on offense (at skill position) and are undefeated. An offense goes as it's OL and QB go. Luckily we have 17 -

100000%. For some reason people thought getting rid of old, aging players meant we were going to 'rebuild.' I think this was more of a fan(and TBD) thing than a Bills thing. My initial thought was "Ok, new pieces, we will probably struggle a little bit for 6 weeks and then as continuity happens we'll start to roll." Thankfully, I was wrong on that. I never thought rebuild but more so, "growing pains" early this year. -
Who’s the best Left Tackle you have ever watched?
warrior9 replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall
100% man. The game has evolved as have the athletes playing the game due to science, training, supplements, recovery, etc etc etc. I mean shoot Jalen Carter is 6'4 320 or something and ran a 4.8 40.. That's just absurd. To the point of the OP, Larry Allen kind of paved the way for big athletic guys to just pull, maul, move, etc people. He was truly unbelievable. Joe Thomas is probably the best "technical" LT of all time though... just my opinion. -

Not really true, there were a lot of legends recently as well. Joe Thomas is one of if not the best LT to ever play and saying he's better than Larry Allen is a REALLY big long shot (i know Allen was primary guard but he did play LT as well). -
Just say you don't like Kincaid man. Is it his fault Josh over threw him in Indy? You mad about that or something? Do you want to see more Knox? That's fine but don't forget the significant drops he has had in his career. Have you forgot that teams game plan to take the middle of the field away with Kincaid? Should I keep going?
-
Josh is better in this era that Jim was in his.

That Sooner's guy just doesn't understand that if you go into a draft and get 2 CB's and one comes out an All-Pro (seemingly so far this year) and one comes out a good player, you win. If we didn't have Douglas playing at the level he is, Elam would be starting. The guy is so enamored with draft places that he's upset Elam isn't playing because he was taken before Benford who is out playing him (at the best level in the league).... it's very very weird.
-
That's your take? So you don't draft other players as well and expect them to be good? We have 3 incredible CBs. Benford is better than him. You take multiple people at a position to find a starter. The draft is a crap shoot. I've never see someone so mad at having depth. It's kind of odd.... He went in today had zero fall off. So let me get this straight... because he was drafted ahead of Benford, you're mad Elam isn't playing at an All-Pro level because Benford is and he was drafted later?
-
So you think he should play just because of his draft spot? He would be a starter on 25 other teams. Benford is playing at an All-Pro level right now and Douglas is also playing at a very high level. You can only play so many CBs. He went in today, and played VERY well.... You'd also be the first person to blame Beane (for lack of depth) once we get to play offs, have injuries, and then we have a scrub play. If Douglas/ Benford get hurt, there is literally no fall off.. I think that says everything.
-
So you didn't watch the game? Or do you think that just because he hasn't played? Or do you just not like Beane? Or do you just have no reason for thinking this? If he isn't better than Benford or Douglas do you want him to play just because of where he was picked? As the OP says, when he plays, he plays well he is just behind very good starters.
-
i'd be fine with 17-20 or so. That's about "above average." at this rate.
-
That's not solely why he was drafted. You don't draft a first round pick just to rush the passer. If we did that, then you'd be complaining he couldn't stop the run or set an edge. So no, I don't agree with you.

Must not have read the whole post. He mentioned 15+ sacks, where in those first 4 years were 15+ sacks? So based on HIS reasoning, they should have let him walk. I never said he wasn't better than Rousseau, just based on his reasoning as to why we shouldn't resign, they shouldn't have resigned Garret.
-
LOL Rousseau is very very far from a role player.... have you watched the Bills at all? Or do you just go based on sack numbers? So Bills should only pay DE's with 15+ sacks a game? This is where we're at? The dude is 24 years old, has been great for us, just had 7 or so QB hits in a game and because he may not get 15 sacks, you let him walk? So based on your reasoning here, Browns should have let Myles Garrett walk after his rookie contract? Here are his first 4 years sack numbers: 7, 13.5, 10, 12. And your comeback can't be "they are better than Groots" because none of those seasons match your 15+

2018 QB draft and passer rating rankings this season
warrior9 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
If I'm reading this correctly, it's 1,4,5,7. Burrow was following year and Lamar was 2018. -
Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
warrior9 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can't tell you how many people on this board argued with me that "small guys have an easier time getting off the line"... it was mind numbing. Logic was fighting tooth and nail and then I believe he blocked me lol -
Keon Coleman 5th In Rookie Receiving Yards
warrior9 replied to iwishitwerecolder's topic in The Stadium Wall
But I thought we should have drafted the "big play" 6'1 160 pound twerp? I heard those guys are much harder to jam at the line! -
If that's the only thing he said that people disagree with... he isn't wrong. Josh has said that himself. Listening to other announcing crews constantly go to the base of Mahomes and Allen etc etc is so annoying. These guys don't do it, they call a fair game and they're going to say things about players that aren't always positive... doesn't mean they are wrong or that they are bad at their job. I like that they call everyone out and are fair.

100%. Shakir didn't play much yesterday (38ish % of snaps) so I would have liked to see them use Coleman in that role a little bit. Even if he's not in the slot per se, close twins, close bunch, etc and let Colemen use his shiftiness (which he has, just not straight like speed) off the line there. Move him around, etc. He's running slants, hitches, and go's... it's not ideal for someone with his skill set, IMO. Edit: The few times he has ran drag routes, he's looked excellent. Jags game TD comes to mind.
-
I would really like to see them utilize Coleman more on motion, in the slot, on drags, etc. His best attribute seems to be his run after catch ability and we're just not getting him the ball with running room enough. He's a big body and should be used in a slot a little more. Maybe his route tree and routes still need some help so they're developing it but being able to have Kincaid and Coleman in the middle of the field will open up a lot and give him more RAC chances. I think that's one of Brady's biggest failures, thus far. If he is having trouble getting off the ball, put him in the slot where he can't be pressed. I don't see the get off as a major issue yet but there has been some instances where he was locked down, completely. We need to move him around.
