They were 17th and 24th in defense the years they won the Super Bowl. You dont have to like the guy but saying hes a HOFer on 2 throws is ridiculous. He also had almost 60k passing yards. He's 11th all time in yards and TDs with 2 SBs ... Sure, agree to disagree but I don't think you are looking at his whole body of work

So you think Eli Manning won 2 Superbowl ONLY because of 2 throws? The throw to Manningham down the sideline was one of the best throws in the history of the game. He and Hicks went elsewhere and became absolutely nothing. Why? Who cares about his career record, he won 2 SB's. 2 SB MVPs, 7-2 road record in the playoffs. The two throws your referring to weren't even touchdowns....

One of the dumbest comments I've ever seen. And there are a lot of dumb things said on this site. I strongly dislike OBJ BUT even when he was with the Rams, he was electric and def provided a spark, would've been the MVP of that SB probably. Saying he was good off of one play is just asinine.

Yeah, like Dors--- er Brady remembering Josh Allen can throw the ball effectively more than 10 yards down field.

Roy's Mid-Season AFL Power Grouping
warrior9 replied to RoyBatty is alive's topic in The Stadium Wall
The teams at the top have very favorable schedules based on where they finished last year. I don't think the Colts / Broncos beyond this year have much staying power. Patriots are tricky because Maye seems like a stud but we are their only quality win and they have beaten reallllly bad teams. I get you can only play who is on your schedule but we saw this last year with Jayden Daniels too. It will be interesting to see them in the playoffs and how they do. Broncos are carried by the defense and they haven't had many good wins outside of Philly, which again, defense dominated. Had to come back vs Giants, beat Jets by 2. Houston by 3 (without Stroud second half, i believe) and barely beat the Raiders. Bo Nix has an off target percentage on balls thrown over 10 yards of 39%. Which is dead last in the NFL. When he has a clean pocket, he has off target throws 37% of the time which is also dead last. Not sustainable once you get to playoffs. The chiefs game this week will be very telling. -
Ed Oliver bicep injury - likely out regular season
warrior9 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
...... do you live under a rock? Pacheco broke his fibula last year, Mahomes tore Rice's ACL, Hollywood Brown was hurt all regular season last year. Worthy missed 4 games this year. Justin watson missed time. Every team has injuries my man. Please see above... Just because they made the SB doesn't mean they didn't have injuries. -
Yes? Use motion so he can’t get jammed off the line. Do you think the Bills are the only team struggling with boundary receivers? Do Boutte, 32 year old Diggs, and Mack Hollins scream “Boundary threats?” No but McDaniels has schemes. Boutte has a slower 40 than Coleman and his avg depth of reception is 17.8 yards. But guess what? They throw the ball for 250-300 a game. Why? Scheme, motion, creativity. We aren’t even calling plays where this is possible. We don’t have routes from the intermediate to deep. Guess what else this hurts? Josh Allen’s ability to scramble and open up plays. When everything is within 10 yards of LOS, you’re taking away his best asset.

At this point, I have to put some blame Brady for the WR room. There is zero creativity. We run 1 scripted play to Shakir, there is no crossing routes, there are no motions, it's so bizarre. I don't think I've ever seen the ball snapped with Coleman off the line or in motion. Why don't we try using him in the slot? Why don't we use him in motion, snap the ball, and have him cross? Why don't we run screens to him? He's great with the ball in his hands. Samuel is a fast WR. There is nothing scheming him open. We scheme route concepts, not getting folks open. It's so hard to watch teams put their players in position to run after the catch and we just cant. Shakir being the only exception. Maybe they're "saving" some stuff for down the line. I don't know. I'd also like to see us use Cook more in the passing game. I just think our offensive passing game lacks a ton of creativity. 2 completions more than 20 yards down field this year is embarrassing.

AJ has been the least of our issues and I am no fan of his. I hated the draft pick and extension.

Joe Marino's 9 point plan for improvement
warrior9 replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall
I truly don't understand why we leave Coleman just sitting out wide and allow him to get pressed. He is a monster and a great athlete. I can not remember (if it's ever happened) the last time we snapped the ball while he was in motion. Why not use him in the slot? Why not pick him open? We literally just sit and run slants and go's to him. We have to be creative because he is fantastic with the ball in his hands after catch. -
We're on week 8, the title says week 9 and in the header of the post it says Week 7. But the dates and times are for next Thu- Mo.

This is really confusing........

It's really not though, Reich was fired during Bryce's rookie year, Eberflus was fired during Caleb's rookie year, Meyer with Lawrence, Fischer with Goff, and Hue with Baker and now this. It's becoming more common with expected results out of the gate with high QB picks.
