Allen needs to mentally overpower Mahomes
Sweats replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall
You are correct, sir.....i am delusional. Only a delusional person sees a guy who puts the team on his shoulders and is tough on the field, but not tough on the sidelines or with his team mates. Takes the onus of the mistakes and responsibility upon himself, but never putting it on the team or HC, where it belongs. You said it yourself, "he says nothing".....a leader is vocal. A leader expresses himself to his team, no matter whether someone will get hurt feelings. A leader is not just putting the team on your back and trying to carry the workload by themselves.....a leader determines the situation, demands responsibility/accountability from everyone. A leader is not just a "one man show", but rather a blend of moving parts in cohesion....a leader makes that happen. When i see JA sitting on the bench by himself with nothing to say to his teammates when they've f'ed up, i don't see a tough person. I see a guy who has resounded himself to the situation that our FO and HC have created for him to "have" to carry the team on his back. If he ever demands accountability from his teammates and HC for trying to cover up for their inadequacies, then he will hoist a Lombardi. You ever see how emotional the KC players are on the sidelines?......they want to win, they know what it takes to win and they demand accountability from everyone in that locker room. Mahomo expects to win every time he plays. Our guys sit on the sidelines with nothing to say to each other, each guy covering up for the mistakes and blunders for each other and never calling anyone out. JA is hoping to win every time he plays. There's a huge difference between the 2 QB's, when one doesn't hold anyone accountable and hoping that the problems will correct themselves.....they won't, which is why were good, but just not quite good enough. If you've ever been in a leadership role, you'll know what i'm talking about. I don't know how simpler i can make it. -

Here's what we're looking at.....one QB "expects" to win and one "hopes" to win. We all know which is which, however, when "said" QB gets into the proper mentality of "expecting" to win, then he will get over the proverbial hump. It's the responsibility of the HC and FO to guide the QB in the proper direction of mindset and confidence....and brother, they are dropping the ball, not just on the QB, but the whole team. This team is just not tough enough, including the QB. They have flashes here and there, but the overall toughness each week is lacking. I have spoken. -
All i know is that if i have to listen to Nick Wright ball wash Mahomo one more time, i'll puke

Unlikely, but you gotta get rid of Von and Diggs with those contracts.

Chiefs are just better than the Bills

The whole thing with abandoning the run game with CM, seemed like a real McClappy thing to do IMO. -
KC tightened up the trenches and zeroed in on the run game. The Niners felt they had a better chance with Purdy throwing it than CM running it......sounds like a very McClappy thing to do IMO.

Its Pretty Obvious why the Chiefs win every year
Sweats replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm usually the 1st one to defend the refs on a weekly basis, however, i noticed ALOT of holding by KC in the 2nd half last night.....nothing was called. Shameful.......just shameful. -

You are correct, sir....the problem is not JA and i think we can all agree on that. In my eyes, the problem always has been and always will be coaching. We are going to constantly end up with the same results with this regime. I'm not even sure they know how to identify the issues, nor how to even fix them. -

Anyone watch the trenches last night?....ya i know, everyone wants to watch the "pretty" plays, the QB, the RB's, the WR's, but did anyone actually watch the trenches? I did and i'll tell ya some things i noticed.... 1) When the Niners were dictating and dominating the trench on O in the first half, they pressured Mahomo keeping him off-balance and forcing him to abandon some of KC's playcalling. They forced some sacks and kept Mahomo off his rhythm. KC could not generate anything on O in the 1st half. CM was steam rolling the KC D line, slicing up yardage. 2) The 2nd half was completely different. KC owned the trenches, which gave Mahomo the confidence to make plays. It also didn't help that the Niners abandoned the run, however, the KC D was stout in the 2nd half and limited CM to very little yardage. My point being, we all know the game is won and lost in the trenches. We all know that if you can pressure Mahomo, you can throw him off his game. When was the last time we completely dominated the trenches in any game?.....Dallas, and that's about it. We moved the ball at will cause it all started in the trenches. My other point being, our FO keeps telling the fans that they are building a team to compete with KC....and yes we can compete in the regular season, but in the playoffs, they own us. They outright own us. Did we get any pressure on Mahomo last game we played them?....nope, and he had all day to feel comfortable in the pocket and pick us apart. If we can't own the trenches, we can't own the Lombardi.....simple as that. -
The Most Embarrassing Day in Bills’ History
Sweats replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Most embarrassing day is 13 seconds.....and it's not even close. -
TE (AKA - Captain Checkdown)....and it's not even close. Why this franchise ever hitched their wagons to this clown is far beyond me.

Any other conclusion than this is on the coaches, is just wrong

As the captain once demanded......"Bring me my brown pants!!!!!!"

I live in a small hick town in Northern Quebec, Canada.....they usually televise the Bills games, but this past week, they didn't

Who's comparing the 2 teams or the 2 eras?......i simply stated that the division nowadays reminds me of 30 years ago when the AFCEast was THE best division in the NFL for competing.
-
I couldn't even watch the game on sunday.....apparently, my local t.v. station figured the Bills would blow out the Jets by such a wide margin, that they aired the Fins game instead. That was the first time in 35 years that i had not watched a Bills game, however, i watched the updates on my phone as the day progressed and felt that our team would somehow pull off the win. Was i devastated by the loss? Well, yes and no. It never feels good to have your team lose, however, were 6-2....that's not too shabby, ya know. If you were to tell me that we would be 6-2 mid-season before the season started, i'd think we were in pretty good shape. The only problem i see is that the 2 losses were against divisional opponents...the AFCEast right now kinda reminds me of the 90's, where this was the toughest division in the NFL. All four teams are poised to take a crack at the crown, but i still think that we are the team to beat. I'm not worried.....we've been here before and we'll be here again. This is a typical mid-season Bills slump (can you even call 2 losses, not even back to back, a slump?). I still haven't watched any highlights of the game....what's the point? Don't you know that we lost to a good team and the sky is falling. It's all coming apart at the seams and maybe we should tear it all down and start over.....or maybe, just maybe, we enjoy this team for what it is, let the FO do their jobs, sit back and relax and watch our team go to the SB this year. Superbowl or bust, baby. Go Bills.
