Well, i'm just throwing this out there, but i highly suspect that we didn't have too many trade partners on this one. In fact, it almost feels like Houston took Diggs out of sheer sympathy. And i can only imagine how that conversation went...... Beane: who wants him?.....we got him.....fire sale on now! Every franchise: ......(looks at the floor......looks at the ceiling.......fails to look Beane in the eye) Beane: anybody? Houston: .......HC whispering to the GM, "Jesus man, look at him.....like a beaten dog, for Christ's sakes. I think he's crying.....throw him a bone and a bag of peanuts and call it a deal" Beane: alright, we got an opening bid of one bone and a bag of peanuts.....anybody else want to get in on this? Every franchise:......(looks at the floor......looks at the ceiling.......fails to look Beane in the eye) Houston: we decided we're keeping the bone......bag of peanuts, take it or leave it? Beane: Deal!!!......but i don't want that bag of peanuts until next year Houston: Deal!!! And in my world, that's how big business deals are done.

All good points. The bolded is a scenario i've thought about probably a thousand times already......Minny did it before, would they do it again? I, for one, would love to have JJ on this team, however, seeing the way Beane is, he is probably done with high WR's from other teams and will probably want to get his in the draft this year, but just not where everyone thinks.......my gut feeling

Sorry, i was para-phrasing.......i forget who said it, but it was along the lines of, " whether by design or character, Diggs performance trailed miserably last season, which as a WR1, you never want leave your QB in that position. If it was by design, then Brady is showing maturity and character by not allowing Diggs to dictate HIS offense and allowing JA to distribute the ball around the field as he sees fit. If Diggs decline was from his character, then it shows that he should no longer have a place on the team by tossing the boat anchor out and limiting the growth of the team around him". You know, something along those lines.

I'm fairly certain you can only do it once......if you try it a 2nd time, the time stays on the clock and the play is played-over on the same down.

I was watching the NFL network last night and the whole show was dedicated to the Diggs trade. Now, a lot of good points were brought up... * Everyone suspecting a rift between Diggs and JA......management telling JA that they were planning to let Diggs go and no argument from JA * Bills FO would rather cut their losses now when they could actually get something for Diggs rather than waiting a year and his stock plummeting * Swapping draft picks (the Bills get next years 2nd and Houston gets this years 5th and 6th from us) is basically a "push" and in fact, works out better for us for next year * Houston will not tolerate Diggs' outbursts and make sure he's on a short leash.....and basically, Houston has nothing to lose with Diggs cause if he fails, he was worth a bag of peanuts, but if he succeeds, he can be yet another threat for Stroud * It seems both parties are happy with the outcome of the trade * The Bills can finally focus on getting younger and creating a team properly and not have to worry about an aging cancerous boat anchor who criticizes the team/FO/HC at every turn.......that's the fans job

Just wait till Diggs starts sending out cryptic tweets in Houston..........it's coming. It's hard to keep a good cancer down.

I've got a feeling that this years draft is going to be something special.

If anyone thinks Diggs is soooooooooo valuable to the team, just look at the back end of last season..........garbage, sheer and utter trash.

This is what i've been saying about Diggs ever since we brought him in........he started to turn into a cancer at Minny and seems that it was starting to creep its way into this team too. If fans can't see the beautiful horizon thats coming for this team now that Diggs is gone and the team can finally concentrate on some ball without the sideline temper tantrums, then i feel bad for them cause this team is rolling into the future on a high note.

My god, the drama going on here today.......

I think they have their eye on a couple of guys and are ready to pull the trigger to make it happen.

I say we package some picks, throw Elam into the deal and giddy up......grab our future young WR, maybe 2

Honestly, i could see Diggs getting all pissy when finding out were drafting a WR in the first round, knowing that he will have to split the limelight with someone else. Diva and drama queen?.....absolutely Aging and self-centered?........yep Missed?.........we won't miss a beat Bravo Beane.........bravo.

Sounds like Diggs wanted out and the FO granted his wish. Suffice to say, a win-win for both sides.
