I agree with this....i'm 55 and been following the Bills for nearly 50 years. I rant and rave and B word and moan about this team all the time, however, on the flip side, when was the last time this franchise had any sort of stability at HC or in the FO? We might not be where we want to be yet, but we certainly don't want to be where we've been, that's for sure. My only regret is that my dad couldn't witness a Bills SB win before he passed....his 3 greatest passions were the Steelers, Packers and Bills (not in any particular order, mind you). Now, i'd like to see the Bills win a SB before the day i ever pass. For a lot of us fans, this team is a generational type thing....it's in our blood, our DNA. It's who we are as a fanbase and yes, we always think the grass is greener on the other side, however, when not seeing the team through rose colored glasses, sometimes that grass in your neighbors yard is worse.

NFL considering adopting XFL kickoff rules
Sweats replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hate kicking in every general way to begin with......punting, FG's, kick-offs, whatever. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they removed every aspect of kicking from the game altogether, but i guess they have to include some sort of "foot" in football. -
Dion Dawkins doesn’t like the Jets DL very much

And don't forget Topps....the friendly market -
Shaw, we don't always see eye to eye and this statement is no different. I understand where you're coming from here, however, to say that he has no responsibility to the fans is irresponsible. It's the fans that pay for tickets and merchandise. It's the fans who sit in the cold seats supporting their team. The fans are the franchise.....no fans, no team. I think it's human nature for the fans who bleed and die for the team to not only want answers, but to expect them. I don't have a lot of fans in my workplace, nor do i have alot of fans on this board, however, if i did, i would almost feel an obligation to give answers to the people who support me if i was consistently not getting over the hump.

Get that man over to Wegmans.....he can fashion a new shirt out of the JA grocery bags. -
Wegmans just put out more of the Josh Allen bags

Topps......you know, the friendly market. -
I lived every minute of the pain. In fact i lost so much money betting on my Bills to win a SB, that it's a good thing Wegmans has brought out more JA grocery bags for me to pack in whatever i still own into them.

That's perfect!!! I can pack whatever the rest of my belongings i own into them after i've lost every cent betting on this team to actually win a SB. -
I have no problem with playing aggressive. In fact, i would rather lose a game from being too aggressive, than too passive or soft.....however, when you try a fake punt and not get the ball into your playmakers hands, but rather a D guy who played 2 snaps all season, that is just dumb. Dumb, i say. sorry......not sorry.

KC does their homework. They allow teams to basically march up and down the field in the first half, essentially blowing their load on their playbook and then analyze and adjust in the 2nd half. This is where good, sound coaching comes into effect. Chances are, whatever worked in the first half probably won't be as effective in the 2nd half, however, coaching needs to be able to have some foresight as to how to exploit weaknesses. It's like on every play, we're just throwing plays out there to see what works and when we find something, we try to force feed it 12 times and hope to get lucky. We need sound creative ideas and to stop blowing our load in the 1st half.......you know, save a little for the endurance.

When healthy: we were the best team in the league.
Sweats replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let's put this into perspective, shall we? Yes, we had alot of injuries on D. Yes, we could not beat KC this past playoffs. Our D couldn't stop Mahomo allllllllll day. KC moved the ball at will up and down the field, while we made zero adjustments to compensate.....however, it was actually not our D that lost the game, if you can believe that. If our O could have milked the clock in the final 5 minutes of the 4th, like most teams would have done, we could have come away with the win....i'm confident of that. It was actually our O on the field, not our injury plagued D in the final 5 minutes that just couldn't get it done. Sure, injuries on our D can create the issue of us losing the game, however, when it was our O on the field at the end of the game who couldn't get it done, then.......what else ya got? I'm not buying what youre selling. -
Are we looking at it all wrong, esp. With Josh Allen?
Sweats replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just imagine if JA was wearing a different uniform and we had to play him every year?.....now, imagine he was in our division and we had to play him twice a year? JA gets a lot of criticism from the media, however, it is also his sporadic, unorthodox playing style that people from all over the nation fell in love with. People tuning in every Sunday just to see what JA is going to do next. What feat can superman pull off next? We can all agree that we have something special in this kid and we are lucky that our FO saw the potential and drafted him.....the juice was definitely worth the squeeze. Yeah, i get pissed that we aren't winning a SB (maybe not even any time soon) but, watching JA play every week is pretty good compensation. -
I just think it's actually funny that KC doesn't even need a punter when they play us. sorry......not sorry.
-
You know, i agree 100% with this, however, in that moment, it's on coaching to tell JA to settle down, relax and take the short field one step at a time. We all know JA wants to go for the throat every minute of the game, however, he has to learn to pick his battles one set of downs at a time and that's on coaching to reel him in.

Sounds like a just kicking the tires sorta thing IMO

So, he's gonna try to set things right in the NFL, when he can't even set things right on his own team?!?.......stop me if you've heard this before.

How often top UFA WRs get open vs single man coverage

I'm still shaking my head that Davis is ahead of Higgins. #likewtfconfused -
I agree earlier when you said that McD is at least trying to be less conservative with the playcalling and play scheming, but i think some of his calls are without a doubt, questionable. I mean, i have no problem with being aggressive. In fact, i would rather lose a game from being too aggressive than too passive or having idiotic playcalling TBH. A fake punt within your own 30 yard line and you don't put it in your playmakers hands but give it to a guy who played in 2 snaps all season?......like come on, man. McD, what the hell were you thinking?!? I am trying to give McD the benefit of the doubt these days, but he's making it real hard.

A fake punt within his own 30 yard line, not with JA, not with Cook, not even Diggs.......with Hamlin. And.....nothing more needs to be said here.

It was more like, "......anybody but Diggs". True story.
