  1. I like all these moves.......frees up cap space and forces us to put a younger roster together.
  2. Uh, no.....the dude plays too soft
  3. It's not too hard to figure out the cap game......restructure contracts, kicking deals down the road, etc. You get yourself a financial wizard in the FO and they can work magic with the numbers.
  4. Honestly, i'm actually surprised he even made it this long.
  5. As much as this franchise hates playing young guys, they really have no choice but to start getting younger on the roster.
  6. Oh, the days not done just yet.....
  7. Like, come on, man.......Poyer was good, but he was no legend. Watching Bruce Smith, Andre Reed and Thurman Thomas go to other teams was watching legends leave.
  8. I wonder what other surprises Beane has up his sleeve for today.....
  9. 1 year deal, structured to kick the can down the road for part of it.
  10. Shockingly, i'm ok with this.
  11. Hey, i love the guy but he's been missing a step the last couple of years......getting a little banged up and slowing down a bit. A tough decision overall, but tough choices have to be made.
  12. I believe that Burrow has the benefit of the doubt for not playing well.....he had been to the SB only the year before, so i cut him some slack. When our team has the post SB blues and doesn't play very well, i'll cut them some slack too.
  13. 9-8 with no Burrow....he's coming back this season
  14. Was it actually Payton that spent all this money between 2 franchises that crippled them or the GM's? NO were kicking the can down the road for years and knew that it would come back to haunt them......well, that time is now. The Broncos pre-Payton basically gave him a dud at QB in hopes he could work with him.......he couldn't and now they are stuck with no QB and an 85 mil dead hit. I like Payton, but don't necessarily think he can miraculously transform a franchise overnight by himself. I actually don't think i could ever imagine Payton and Beane working together under the same roof, but McClappy and Beane on the other hand......
  15. I work with enough rats......i don't need any at home.
  16. Not too long ago, the Rams blew their wad on FA's right across the board and won a SB, however, it's not really the right way to go about it, i would think.
  17. You know what my wife would say to this?.........never mind
  18. I'm telling you, i could have been the GM of this franchise in the garbage early 2000's teams and i wouldn't have done any worse, i can tell you that. In fact, a 3 toothed hobo could have done a better job.
  19. Well, it was Special Teams and ole McClappy that blew that game.......RW really didn't have much else to do with it.
  20. I don't really think it's too difficult......i mean, come on, man.....do you think he is one individual who is managing all of it? He has guys working for him and guys working for those guys and guys working for those guys and on down. At the end of the day, he's the guy at the top, so all of the minor Pions who work below him do all the work and shuffle it up, while the guy at the top takes all the credit. I've been in business for a long, longgggggggg time......i've seen how it works. It's not one guy running the whole show. It's more like one guy at the top while everyone else does everything to make the guy at the top look good, in hopes that they might get noticed for their hard work and efforts.....which they never do and the cycle goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on.......
  21. If by "backyard birding" you mean shaking my junk at the neighbors every morning, I've been "backyard birding" for years.
  22. I'm hoping for Mitchell.....imagine a guy like that on our O who has speed and is able to stretch the field.
  23. God, i really hope our FO doesn't make a play for McDonkey
  24. D. Watson was arguably the worst in NFL history, however, this RW one ranks right up there.
