Recently, jurors have come out on record saying that the not guilty verdict in the OJ trial was a retaliation for the Rodney King incident. So what i'm saying, is that no matter whether the prosecution has satisfied it's "burden of proof", a jury (in any trial) will side with whatever agenda it perceives and anyone who doesn't see that or still believes in honest and fair trials are severely disillusioned. Honestly at the end of the day, jurors don't care about right or wrong, guilty or innocent......they know it's not them on trial and most just want to get the hell out of there as quick as possible knowing they are only earning $25 a day to do their civic duty. So, imagine putting your life in the hands of 12 people who don't know you, don't care about you, are only making $25 a day, have to sit in one spot for sometimes 8 hours a day and really don't care about whatever happens to you because they need to get that trial over quick to get back to their jobs to pay for their homes, their bills and they have to plan what they're going to make for dinner that evening for little Sally, etc. Being judged by a jury of our peers?.....a fair and honest legal system?.......no such thing.

Epic, Hypothetical Trade Scenario: Would ya?
Sweats replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hey, don't hate the player, hate the game. I think if the draft capital is good enough, you have to at least consider it and to disregard this notion, is irresponsible. -

Epic, Hypothetical Trade Scenario: Would ya?
Sweats replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is a tough one....on one hand, you have the 2nd best QB in the league, but on the other hand, there are some quality QB's in this draft.....unproven, yes, but every QB is unproven when coming out of college and playing their first season in the NFL. I voted yes, only because if you can get enough draft capital in the next 2 years, you could actually build something special. It seems we're just piecemealing a roster together the past couple of years, but if you can create a structured foundation, you can have a somewhat juggernaut for years to come.....all on a rookie salary. Would i want this to happen?......probably not, but i wouldn't be upset with it. -

The Draft is a Total Crapshoot (Per Science)
Sweats replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall
wow, your insight is profound......i feel a little dumber for having responded to this. -
All i know is when that white Ford Bronco was involved in that low-speed chase with every cop in L.A. following him, that was some of the best television i have seen in years. In fact, i remember that me, my wife and my buddies were crowded around the t.v. just waiting for anything to happen. We drank beer all evening and ordered pizza and when the pizza guy showed up, he knew exactly what we were doing cause everyone in town was ordering pizza and glued to the television. I was really hoping for a shootout.....

That's how i have envisioned our FO making their picks in the draft.......either the dart board or the ole spin the wheel-o-chance. -

Do you think Allen feels relief after the Diggs trade?
Sweats replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm going to tell you what will happen with Stroud.... CJ will distribute the ball around the field, whether Diggs is involved in the play is irrelevant, however, when Diggs believes he's not getting his share of catches, he'll go after Stroud......which in turn, will start to diminish CJ's confidence in leading the team. I believe, having a player likes Diggs is a bad pairing for a young QB. Diggs will question every play, every QB decision, everything. He is going to make that kids life a nightmare. He will make him 2nd guess everything and when things get bad enough, CJ will just start distributing the ball around to everyone not named Diggs because he won't want to deal with him, which will make the situation even worse. The dude is a cancer.......better to gut it and get rid of it, but unfortunately, our cancer is now firmly latched onto another young QB to wreak havoc. -
Von Miller IG story about Beane trading up for a WR
Sweats replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Von Miller hasn't been right about anything.......hey, maybe the 12th times the charm. -
You just do whatever you want and just keep kicking that can down the road......my theory, is that the further you kick the can, the further it gets away from you, so just keep kicking it as far and as long as you want. Pay no attention to the Saints......they don't know how to kick a good can far enough........amateurs.

He doesn't even need to work out......that JA guy is so dreamy.

Randy Mueller - maybe only ~150 draftable players this year
Sweats replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Its a sad, sad day when a man's board dries up. -
I suspect he'll be practicing with a wiffle ball......throwing it and catching his own pass.

It doesn't matter where or when you pick, there's always diamonds in the rough in the later rounds......it's our FO's job to figure these out and make it happen. -
Who will be the head scratcher pick(s) in the first round?
Sweats replied to Sestak4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rest assured the Raiders are going to blow their 1st round pick, Minny will take too long to get their pick in and lose it, while everyone fawns over the great draft that the Browns and Jets had and still end up as dumpster fires. Same old ****, year in and year out..... -
I'm telling ya, package Knox, Elam and a couple of the Wegmans JA grocery bags and move up in the draft......i'm fairly certain this trade capital can get us up one spot, although the most valuable piece is the Wegmans grocery bags so we might have to throw a couple of more in there to sweeten the deal.

Tom Brady picks the next QB to win their 1st Super Bowl
Sweats replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
From Tom's mouth to Josh Allen's pants -
The more i think about it, i think we should just let the board fall to us or even trade back, get a couple extra picks and make a splash in the 2nd and 3rd (if we end up getting a 3rd round pick with trades).

Think of him what you will, but the legal system found him innocent. That's not to say the legal system is not broken, however, he was judged by a jury of his peers and was found not guilty......i, however, think he's guilty as hell, but i was not on the jury panel, i only heard what the media expressed for the trial and did not have to make the decision of innocent or guilty. Now, OJ may have been found innocent in the eyes of the law, but he was definitely found guilty in public opinion.

The Pats were well ahead of their time........wait, hear me out. The time of a WR that can run past defenders' full steam downfield is done. It's time has come and passed. It's a by-gone era that will probably never ever come back. Defenses have caught on and are forcing teams to play the middle, which is why a good dink and dunk, slant, crossing route WR's are flourishing and why teams have to scheme accordingly. You're seeing more schemes, more alignments, adjustments, etc......trying to create mismatches at the line. Also, YAC is becoming huge.......get the ball to your WR's hands in the middle and let them make a play. The Pats excelled at all this. Sure, when they had Moss they threw the occasional deep ball, but if you go back and watch, it's the YAC that kills the D, not really the long bomb. They could take "middle of the road" WR's and let them work their magic in the middle and it helped huge that they had a guy like Gronk to create mismatches......same as Kelce and Kittle, etc. I believe our FO is finally seeing the proper way to build our O.....create mismatches, scheme/gameplan, and let your WR's earn their pay with YAC. It used to be a battle of the trenches (which it still is even today), however, it's now been amalgamated into a battle over the middle......whoever controls the trenches AND the middle, controls the game. I have spoken.
