The football trifecta..... My buddies and i were throwing this conversation around on the weekend, that just about every competitive team has had the football trifecta (three really good O players and maybe not great, but good in their own right and some of them just good enough to be competitive, but a trifecta nonetheless). Bills - Kelly, Reed, Thomas 49's - Montana, Rice, Waters Dallas - Aikman, Irving, Smith Colts - Manning, Wayne, Faulk Rams - Warner, Holt, Faulk KC - Montana, Allen, Davis Lions - Peete, Sanders, Moore Pats - Brady, Ridley, Welker etc. etc. etc. etc. So, who on our current Bills roster is our O trifecta?...........obviously Allen, Cook and ?????? I am of the belief that if you can at least have a quality QB (check), a quality RB (check) and a quality WR (nothing), you have the most advantage to spread the field, become less predictable and create mismatches where at least one of your quality trifectas can consistently make plays. It's a formula that works.

When i was younger, the first time i was ever turned on to David Bowie was his performance on SNL......that performance was revolutionary and innovative for its time and still stands out as one of SNL's best shows. There was even a little controversy as he took the stage as an androgynous Ziggy Stardust. Lorne Michaels had asked him to "tone it down" before the show and Bowie took it as a challenge and hit the stage even more ambiguous than ever.

I say we let Cook walk and although this guy is under the radar with most teams, we need Cam Skattebo from Arizona.

Hobert, Maybin, Losman, Captain "Checkdown", Flowers, etc...........and the list goes on and on

I loved this show. They were planning on a 3rd season, but it never happened. ..........shame.

What are you talking about?!?..........JA tried like what 4 times on short yardage on QB sneaks without gaining one yard, when he could have very easily changed the call at the LOS and handed off to someone else. You make it sound like JA is the only one doing anything, when in fact, he's not changing plays to even allow anyone else to make a play.

I like Beane, i really do, however, our FO seems hell bent on drafting "character guys" as opposed to "talent guys"......they just love their high character guys for some reason and maybe it's cause they don't have to deal with divas in the locker room........you can have a whole roster of high character guys, but if the talent is lacking, then all we're getting is a locker room and team with high morals. How many good morals or high character guys are on KC's roster or the Eagles roster, etc. In my opinion, talent should always supersede everything else, unless the guy is a douche, then KC can have him.

There's some good D talent coming out this draft.........i would pity any team that's relying on any half decent O talent though cause this draft is one for the ages in terms of crap.

I think the Bills could have made a game of it, but the Eagles D would not be denied, and we would have still lost be less.........better to watch KC get the absolute dog **** beat out of them on the national stage and sputter for answers on why they couldn't pull off the 3-peat.

RIP Dick. I think a lot of Bills fans were always upset with Jauron for his lack of urgency in game play, his awful game time decisions and his poor post press speeches........"we punted well". At that time, we all wanted more than that, we wanted a HC who could get us over the hump, however, the lack of talent on the field was a huge obstacle for him and how he would pull out even 7 or 8 win seasons is astounding when you actually look back at it.

I agree about Warner.......the guy never gets any love or much recognition for what he's done throughout the years. He is one of the all time great pure pocket passers, no gimmicks, no tricks, no running.......just sit in the pocket and find the WR's. And tough?.......Jesus, the guy took his lumps and came back for more. If i was a franchise in need of a QB and i could pick from any player throughout history, as a pure pocket passer, i'd pick Warner........as a running QB, it would be Vick and as a dual threat, it would be JA.

That's a good hire for NO's and honestly, i don't know what other direction they could have possibly gone other than this.......he may not be able to right that ship, but he'll give them a better chance to be competitive.
