Soccer and NFL kicking is a pretty repetitive motion.......a leg swinging motion, when you kick the ball.
-
If i was in his position and probably never be drafted (or drafted very high) then sure, take that NIL all day long for as long as you can.
-
I think soccer is more comparable to NFL kickers........they both have one job to do, just kick the ball.
-
It's not even comparable, there's a lot of aspects to golfing......the type of clubs, the grip, the swing, the ball, the lay, the distance, etc. Kicking is kicking......the ball is the same in every game, the kickers leg is the same in every game, the kick is the same in every game. The only things that would be comparable would be weather and distance and if those two things are scaring a kicker and making him lose his confidence, then perhaps it's time for a new line of work.

I never understood how a kicker could go from decent to piss poor. Like, what exactly changed?.......you kick the ball every week and next week, you kick it again. It's not like the FO is putting more aspects on his game......he kicks the ball. He's not running with it, he's not catching it, he's not throwing it, he's not making tackles......he has one job to do, kick the ball. Maybe he has no confidence in his game?........well, i have no confidence in his game either. But, even if a kicker loses his confidence, at the end of the day, he is still only kicking the ball.......give me that money, i'll kick that thing all day long (i'm not very good and my salary will reflect that, but even so.......). I couldn't imagine going into that office and saying, "coach, i've lost my confidence and i can't kick this ball anymore".......how in the hell do you lose confidence kicking a ball?

I thought this thread was going to be how we were packaging Hamlin and Bass for a new fry-o-lator in the concession stand
-
.....and Skylar Thompson and Ryan Tannehill
-
Just watch, this will be the week that Levis puts on his big boy pants and makes a game of it......we always tend to make crap QB's shine like a polished turd.
-
..........sounds like the sources are a guy who knows a guy
-
That's a good one.......remember that one when KC gets their hail mary against us.
-
Coleman is the guy you want on the inside playing the slot. You let that big, bodied guy get in the middle and do some damage against some LB's......death by a thousand cuts. There's no way we should be trying to fit a square peg in a round hole and have him playing on the outside.......okay, it worked at FSU where he was bigger than most CB/DB's but it's not going to work in the NFL where he would probably only be utilized for 50-50 balls.
-
Jesus man, first it was the Hail Murray and now it's the Rodgers Rocket.......what's next, McD?!?
-
I love seeing the expression on Rodgers face after every dropped pass, every miscue, etc.......he looks like he is completely disgusted at being a Jet and the whole world in general.

10/14/24 Game 6 Bills at (NJ) Jets MNF Post Game thread

Here was my timeline last night..... * sat down to watch the game * seen the score was 20-10 Bills before the half, went to bed knowing we had the opportunity to put the game away when we double dipped in the 3rd quarter * woke up 1 hour later and saw on my phone that it was 20-20 and figured the Bills were going to blow it and went back to sleep * woke up 10 minutes later, saw on my phone the score was 23-20 for the Bills * some time later, got the message on my phone that the Bills had won * spent the rest of the night wondering what the hell happened.......hail mary, penalties galore, only 6 points scored in the 2nd half, etc. I have to get up early in the mornings, so night games really blow for me -
Is he available?......I would absolutely love to have a guy named Schlopy over Bass.
-
Our coaching staff didn't utilize Davis the proper way. Ray is the type of back that needs lots of carries to get a rhythm, not just to come in once in a while to spell off Cook.....that's not going to work for his running and work ethic. He needs to be force fed the ball.

Whether it was a fumble or not......how did it affect the point spread?

I won't go as far to say he isn't smart, however, i don't think he learns from past mistakes.....
