  1. It says you gotta get into some of them "learning books", boy.
  2. Now i don't know if i want to......lol
  3. Oh, i know.......my wife loves it. The only time i want to be in any establishment for 4-5 hours is drinking beer and eating wings.
  4. Floppy disks......People just don't have much use for a 3.5" floppy anymore. Floppy disks......love em or hate em?
  5. I honestly have no issues with how our D played on Sunday......i mean yeah, i would have loved for us to shut them down on every play but that wasn't going to happen, the Fins were going to get their yards. So, do you play against the pass or the run? History shows us that the Fins are never patient with their run game and even if its working for them, they tend to abandon it and get Tua to start throwing it around the field and that always leads to INT's over the course of a game and the Fins always lose against us. The Fins focused on the run game, they stuck with it and it was their "bread and butter" so to speak. They stayed with what was working. They were patient and imposed their will on us with the run game and for the most part, it worked........but people won't remember that the Fins gave us a run for our money, they will remember a 61 yarder FG by Bass. The Fins had an excellent game plan and i'll say that 9 times out of 10, they win that game......they did everything right, but the score is the score and time to move onto next week.
  6. I think we're good, not great. The AFCEast is a mess and the AFC in general is all over the place this year and in my eyes, this would be the perfect year to make a SB run, however, i still think we are trying to figure out all of the new working parts to this team and put it all together. We'll see.....
  7. Let's be honest here, it would be nice to see the Bills come out every week and dominate every team in all 3 aspects......kind of like we did in our first 3 games this season, however, that is just not realistic whatsoever. There will be a lot of games that are tight and some where we play from behind and some where we absolutely **** the bed, but the aspect that sets good teams apart from average teams is how they face adversity and how they climb out of the hole. Ravens absolutely dominated us, and it was never even really close considering we had no answers for Henry (live and learn and hope we recalibrate if we run into them again) .......the Texans game was winnable and yet, we couldn't put it all together to give them a good run. We don't have to come out each week and completely dominate teams (rarely happens week to week), what we need is solid game planning, stick with what's working and impose our will on the other team. We've all seen teams that just kind of give up mentally and just concede that "today is not their day" (the Bills have done this themselves sometimes) ......imposing your will, breaking the other team down and making them honestly earn every yard. Case in point.......former games against the Fins (not really last Sunday's game). We absolutely dominated every Fins game. We beat them in every aspect and just basically beat them down. We imposed our will, and you could see that the Fins just wanted to get out of there and go home. They wanted nothing to do with it......we "break" them every time we play them. That, is imposing your will.......and that, is what we need to do week to week and that, is what will bring us a SB.
  8. I think we'll have a decent game against Indy. Miami this past week was a horrible matchup for us......they were playing for their season; they were playing for pride, and they arguably have the fastest O in the league. How do you properly defend against them when if you commit to the run, they can lob bombs and stretch the field with Hill and Waddle. You basically have to pick your poison with them. If we can make Indy one dimensional and put some heat on Flacco, we'll be fine
  9. the juice is worth the squeeze.......ya dig?
  10. We ride at dawn, *****es!!!!
  11. Alright, here's what i know about finances and investing........diddly squat. I gave my finance guy 10k and we initially put it into some fairly aggressive markets. About every 3-6 months, we would sit down together and discuss options that were on the rise, so we would split them up and diversify into whatever was hot and shuffle out of whatever was getting cold......science and technology is always hot cause new technologies and new medicines are being developed every day, we just had to figure out which country was making the most progress in these fields. If my finance guy was taking a quarterly "cut" for his time or commission (which i'm sure he was but was never discussed) then it meant nothing to me as i just wanted to see the "bottom line" for when i eventually cashed out. I cashed out 5 years later with enough money to pay 40% down on my mortgage and have cash left over to furnish my house. In my eyes, it was a win-win for everybody.
  12. I'm not going to lie, i'm "old school" so i like gritty, hard-nosed, hard fought grid iron battles. It reminds me of the old days when teams just beat up on each other and the team that had the most fortitude, patience and who could impose their will, most often times won. That's what i'm seeing from this team.....a team that can impose their will. The first half of games are concerning for the most part, as it seems like they are usually just kind of seeing what the opposition is trying to do and in the second half, they just straight up play ball, dominate and impose their will.....kind of like, "oh yeah, well we saw what you're bringing to the table and here's a little something we bring to the party"....almost like a back and forth chess match. I love it.
  13. You see that with older players who've lost their edge and lost a step......they play a little dirtier to try to keep up and "even" the playing field. Poor Poyer, it's just not working out for him.
  14. True story......we used to tape the Sears catalogue to our shins as hockey pads when we were playing street hockey as kids.
  15. Looks like Black Monday is coming earlier and earlier each season
  16. My financial guy only made money with me when i cashed out, however, we would get together to go over what was hot in the market and decide where to keep shuffling the money around......sometimes it was Science and Research in Germany for 6 months (if rumors were abound with upcoming European medicine) and then we would shift it over to North America and Japan for Technology for a couple of months, but we were constantly shifting the money around from one thing or another. It was definitely in my financial guy's best interest for me to keep making money and keep shifting it around to where we saw the biggest gains. When i eventually cashed out about 5 years later (i needed a mortgage and used my capital gains), the financial guy took his percentage (i forget the amount). The whole 5 years that we were investing, i paid him zero money (only upfront for the initial investment) and nothing else was paid until i cashed out.....almost like an RRSP, but with a lower percentage paid. I know that even though i would get the bulk amount at the end when i cashed out, he was still making money, on my money from quarterly dividends on his end (which was essentially my money) that i wouldn't see until i completely cashed out. So, when he paid all the restaurant bills and he said it was MY money, he was absolutely correct that it was MY money.
  17. Wow, 3rd best......not from what i've seen, but if that's what they're going with, i won't argue.
  18. My financial guy used to take me out to classy places all the time to discuss my finances and every time i would offer to pick up the bill, he would always pay it......every single time. The one night we went to a fancy restaurant and then went out to see the strippers and i went to pick up the bill and he pays it again, the whole bill.....i told him that i didn't feel right that he always paid, and he says, "I'm YOUR financial guy, handling YOUR money......it's YOUR money that is paying these bills". Once that light went on and the realization hit home, we went to coffee shops after that. True story.
  19. Oh, ye all of little faith......i've been yelling from the rooftops since we drafted Ray, that he is something special and you're seeing what he brings to the team, both on and off the field. Never have i wanted more to ever see a guy succeed in this league. He was special in college (i don't think he ever got the credit he deserved) and he is a guy that teams have to game plan for every week.......Cook and Davis, as a one-two punch and just like yesterday, if D's fail to keep an eye on him, he slips through the cracks and runs it straight to the house. Bravo, my good man......bravo.
  20. Yeah, we used to go through these things in the 70's when we were trying to figure out what we wanted for Christmas......Sears was the main staple for just about anything back then.
  21. ...........check out "hot plate" on certain web sites and let me know again how much you love to analyze your shiza.
  22. I'm just going to start calling him "Shifty".
  23. As far as my wife knows, it was the dogs
  24. Wow, RIP Quincy. That man was a musical genius, a legend and an innovator of the highest degree. I mean, who else but him basically has his name on every genre of music throughout the years?......truly a legend in the game.
