  1. It was fairly early in the season for these ones and we were still trying to sort things out......they've seemed to figure it out and get on the right track, so i'm giving them a pass on these 2 debacles. The Steelers won last week be scoring 6 FG's and no TD's.......i don't think they are scaring too many teams.
  2. I had Covid for the first time about 3 weeks ago and i'll tell you that even though i'm a young 55, my head was in a complete fog for almost 2 weeks. I was lost, confused and just had a hard time even doing simple tasks. I've never had that feeling before and certainly never want to ever have it again........as you've all seen on these boards, my mind is my life and the crown jewel of my existence. I think once the Covid has gone, she will be back to her semi-self. I know that everyone experiences Covid differently and i was in rough shape for a couple of weeks, however, once it 100% went away, i was back to my old self. You have to remember that if someone has dementia, Covid and is on meds, well that's going to do a real number on you. That's a bit of a trifecta go9ing on right there. Give her a little time and see how it plays out, but i am confident that once the Covid is gone, things will ease up for you a bit. Wish i could help more........my mom had dementia for a bunch of years and it's not easy and it doesn't get any easier, my friend.
  3. The only thing that matters is.........what does Goodell, the refs and Taylor Swift think of all this?!?
  4. Big Baller Beane for the win
  5. Now i don't know if this means anything but my son drank all my beer and left me with nothing, like not even one beer left in the house, so i drank wine all weekend instead. Now don't get me wrong, i could have gone to the store to get more beer, but i didn't out of spite, as he should be the one to buy another case, but my wife had bottles of wine laying around and i hit that hard. Let's figure out some simple math.......Sweats + wine + a ham and cheese sandwich + beating KC = ........i don't honestly know what the hell it means, but i do know it worked out well for ole Sweats.
  6. I was one of the ones that was actually happy about the Spiller pick. It was definitely a luxury pick and one that we couldn't afford to waste, however, i don't blame Nix for wanting to try to "jump start" the team with drafting Spiller. He was a gadget guy and a one trick pony that we didn't need, however, the team was struggling for a lot of years up to that point, so the FO made the move.......i don't fault them for it. They knew they would eventually get rid of Lynch, so they numbers made sense, and they were hoping Spiller would be more of a Reggie Bush type, but that didn't happen. It was one big ole swing and a miss, but the FO was open to trying anything at that point.
  7. It certainly looked like Reid was giving a giant big ole **** you to the Bills by showcasing Worthy early and often.
  8. I'll go one better and say the whole team is fun to watch this year.......they look loose and look like they are having fun.
  9. .........shocking
  10. I felt like with Coleman being out of the lineup that Samuel saw his moment to shine and took the opportunity to showcase what he could do.
  11. It truly is strange what the refs are calling penalties these days.......guys getting punched in the head, face masks getting pulled, etc. are all just the norm of the plays i guess cause they aren't getting called, but if an Olineman steps more than 2 feet over the LOS and is ineligible downfield, the refs are all over it like it's an unforgivable sin. I don't get it.
  12. Honestly, the next draft will by far be one of the worst for any team to pick a QB.......there's not a whole lot of splash players to choose from. It seems that there are about 10-15 really good players worth drafting and not a whole lot of mid players and a whole bunch of subpar with QB's not real worthy of going in the first IMO
  13. JA keeps playing this good and Lamar will be MVP in no time..........................................................................................................................(rolls eyes)
  14. It almost seemed like in the 2nd half that Cooper and Worthy were nonexistent. I felt like both HC's figured they'd neutralize each other's deep threats and force the game to the middle where both teams' strengths actually lie. McD can hang his hat on besting Reid over that chess match.
  15. Even if you are gaining zero yards on runs, you have to at least keep trying them........this keeps the LB's in check and forces the D to respect the LOS. We seemed to have a little success at running to the outside and Cook is no slouch at turning the corner, so why we kept trying to run it straight up the gut with very little success is beyond me. KC would not be denied at stopping gut runs.
  16. They were breaking those tables and jumping on them WWE style, but hey, at least they jumped into the festivities and made a go of it.
  17. I got lazy and just made a sandwich.......ham and Swiss cheese on a baguette. Nothing special, but there's nothing real special about me anyways.
  18. Finish the rest of this season and we can let him walk........we'll get rid of that albatross of a contract and with like 7 picks in the first 4 rounds of the draft next year, can find a younger, cheaper option that McD can groom for the role. Even when Von was healthy with us, i really wasn't impressed.............sorry, not sorry. At the end of the day, it was a "splash" signing that didn't really work out. His production was not nearly worth his payday and not every FA we bring is going to be worth their weight in gold. I have spoken.
  19. You know, the d-bag with Mahomes nut sack on his chin
  20. You couldn't handle what's going on in my mind. Half the time, even i don't know what's going on......i just like to see how it all plays out.
  21. You son of a *****!!!!..........i'm an upstanding citizen and in my mind, everyone likes me.
  22. Shockingly enough, the messing with my stuff and the pooping on my desk were two different jobs and two different offices........you see, i make friends everywhere i go. I know i'm not the problem.
  23. I love working from home. I turned my one spare room (not the one with the pissy mattress) into an office.......put a desk and chair in the corner and it's all set up for working. The best part is that i still have the spare bed in the room, so i just tell my wife i'm very busy with work, close the door and have a 3 hour nap. They tend to frown on 3 hour naps in the office at work.
  24. I've always done construction projects as a Project Manager or Project Oversight and although i have always had an office, i very rarely ever worked in it, as i was always in the field and around the sites. On this project, they want me to sit in my office for hours at a time.........i hate it, so i'm sure my cheery good moods probably reflect this in my daily interactions with my co-workers.
  25. I'll keep this one simple so you can all keep up...... I've been working in an office for the past year on a project wayyyyyyyyy up north. We have shared offices (2 people per office) and I have had to change my office 3 times over the past 8 months (i have been asked politely to go to a different office each time). Now, i was beginning to believe that it was me, but how could that ever be?.......you guys have seen me well enough on these boards to know that i could never be the problem, so...... offices......love em or hate em?
