  1. I was on a construction site one time, and someone hung a noose from one of the joist beams.......someone complained about it, the Ministry of Labour was called in and the site was shut down until they could do an investigation. We could get away with that 30-40 years ago, but in today's world, it's deemed unacceptable. Mind you, we are living in an age of "hurt feelings", everything is "offensive", people are easily "triggered" (whatever the hell that means) ........i mean, thank Christ I'm old and probably don't have a whole lot of time left cause i don't like the direction we're all headed.
  2. ..........i'm triggered
  3. Jesus, if Rex takes over the Jets, we'll own that division for years.
  4. I'm not complaining, but i can't understand why KC abandoned the run game. It's no big secret that we can hardly stop the run and yet, KC put the 2nd half on Mahomo's shoulders and that hurt them big time......and KC wasn't even in bad shape score wise. They had plenty of time to run up the gut cause we certainly weren't going to stop it. They should have softened up the middle with the RB's and set up their WR's or Kelce for some bombs, but it never panned out like that for whatever reason. I think in that insistence with Reid's play calling, he showed his willingness to abandon a scheme that clearly would have worked for some Mahomo voodoo black magic. I don't think Reid often makes mistakes, but in this case, he made a big one by abandoning the run game too early.
  5. You'd be surprised......nothing shocks me anymore. Guys will dump their meat into just about anything warm, even cold, i don't know what the hell's going on anymore.
  6. Up here in the wild woods of ole northern Quebec, it's tradition to have fish on Thanksgiving, so we would end up cooking up a big old salmon for the family to feast on. I've since turned the tide for their way of thinking and getting more people up here turned onto turkey.........turkey's my absolute favorite. Don't get me wrong, i love salmon, but i love turkey even more.
  7. I replayed that run over and over at least a couple dozen times when i watched the game......and in fact, i may just watch it again now
  8. Wasn't Belichick getting drafting advice from his dog at one point?
  9. Oh Jesus ,no........this is how i imagine Teef looks like, on a good day.
  10. I'm just throwing this out there, but he might be in a little better shape than you......
  11. Bills fans - trying to make something outta nothing since 1979. It was so insignificant of an issue and anyone who loses sleep over it just needs a little Prozac and to just calm the **** down.
  12. I was the same way. I was patient cause i thought he would figure it out and "turn it on", but it never really happened. The guy always looked lost, unsure of his assignments and very rarely made the first tackle on someone. I was not sorry to see him go and thought the Bears way overpaid for him, but at least it got him off the roster. I think Beane figured out he had made a mistake on this one.
  13. His crime was that he really wasn't any good
  14. This is exactly it......i watch college ball religiously and there is absolutely zero shining lights coming out at QB next draft.......a lot of backups maybe, but no starters and any NFL team that is forced to get a QB is already putting themselves in a hole.
  15. The early 2000's Bills had me completely checked out. Depending on how we were playing in the 1st quarter dictated whether i watched the rest of the game or not. It was just absolute garbage football. It was a failing franchise, and everyone knew it, but the ball we've been seeing the past 7 years has turned electric and it's all i look forward to watching on Sundays.
  16. See, McD probably didn't want to poke the bear with calling a TO with 13 seconds left.......this is where McClappy and me are different cause not only would i have poked the bear, i would have put that thing in a 4 figure leglock (maybe the Boston crab) and ate ham and cheese sandwiches with it.
  17. I don't like any of that list.........sorry, not sorry.
  18. Man, i don't get it, someone please make it all make sense. One week, McClappy needs to go cause he is just not getting the job done.......the next week, people are saying he should be coach of the year? What the hell is wrong with you people?!?.......pick a side and live with it.
  19. This is one tough week...... I know the Ravens are down sliding lately, but i think they give the Chargers all they can handle this week. Ravens for the win. Niners expectations have dropped lately, and they are way underachieving these days. I'm not sold on GB this year. Niners for the win. How low can the Cowboys go? They are terrible and they aren't getting any better anytime soon......with that being said, 10.5 is ridiculous. I would run far and run fast from this one.....i wouldn't go anywhere near this one
  20. Honestly, you know what you're going to get with a Mahomo/Allen rivalry, which is why i think people tune in for this one. You know it's going to be a close game, tight action, some INT's, good plays, bad plays, end to end action and both QB's lobbing the occasional bomb........like really, what's not to like? Most people tune in with the expectation of, "what's going to happen next?!?" and they aren't wrong. They certainly aren't tuning in to listen to Romo, i can tell you that.
  21. This one could absolutely be an extreme slugfest between the two of them.......Detroit is one of the most aggressive teams i can ever remember hitting the field each week. They completely dominate everyone with their talent, schemes, coaching, etc. I don't know how well we stack up against them, but i do know that if we can't match the Lions intensity, this game will be over before it starts. I certainly think we will be lucky to come away with the win, however, i still believe we can match up with any team in this league.......a bounce here, a bounce there, some lucky plays, some INT's, etc. If ever there was a time for our D to step up, this is it.
  22. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving franchise.
  23. Unlike Romo who made wrong call after wrong call........"they've got 3 lined-up on the high side here, look for JA to pass it to Cooper.......nope, it's a run. I didn't see that one coming". Aye Carumba, Romo
  24. You know, that's something ole Sweats would have done, but i've never really been known for making good decisions
  25. ..........shocking
