Opinions on this wonderful 2024 Bills season at 10-3
Sweats replied to DeepPass's topic in The Stadium Wall
At the beginning of the season, most people had written this team off and figured we'd never even sniff the playoffs this year, however, it ends up a 5th straight AFCEast title (it helped that the rest of our division was complete shite), JA is Mr. MVP (should be anyways) and our young roster has stepped up to compete (most times) and people are still complaining. I've wallowed in too many inept, disastrous years of trash from this team to ever allow me to come down on where we've been, where we are and where we're going. Just...enjoy...the...ride. -
Oh, it's definitely a "me" thing. I've got problems.

Hey, don't hate the player, hate the game. Ole Sweats is just passing along some "insider" salesman info of what they generalize as people with money, people without, people that tend to buy, people that don't and the different classes of people as they see them when they step onto the lot, etc........it doesn't mean that their assumptions are correct, it's just as how they see them when they are wandering the lots. It gives the salespeople a general idea of who might actually spend some money that day and who might be wasting their time. Let's say 5 people wander onto the lot at the same time, the salesman already knows who he is going to first based on their generalizations. I'm not saying this happens all the time, but in an industry-based standard such as car salesmen where they might see a percentage of the sales, they know who they want to deal with and who they can make money off of.

If someone gives you a holiday gift you don't like

Yeah, unfortunately that's the drawback of re-gifting.........sooner or later that ole ****** gift may come around again. -
"Sweats notes"........a friend of mine years ago was a salesman and he told me right out what salespeople look for as soon as people step onto the lot. * Old people - older people usually have everything paid off and have some extra spending money kicking around, so when they come onto the lot, they can upsell to the older couples * Young couples - young couples don't tend to be very smart with their money or they tend to overspend what they can afford. They can also be manipulated into deals that they either don't really want or don't truly understand Dealership salespeople tend to stay away from lone people coming onto the lots or people of middle age, as a loner on the lot doesn't represent a "serious" buyer and middle-aged people tend to be a little tighter with their money because of kids, mortgages, bills, etc.

I've been at dealerships with my wife and had occasions where salespeople didn't even approach us and just let us wander around the lots........it was refreshing and frustrating all at the same time.

So, Sandusky and Paterno don't make the cut?..........got it.

Oh, i'd be the first one to tell you i'm not very good at my job and in fact, i don't even know how i've still got one..........true story right there.

I don't know.......if i only had one job to do, i would make sure i was the very best at it.

So about the refs tonight UPDATE: Rams game discussion on page 14
Sweats replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
The false start is blatantly obvious, but I'll give this one a pass, as we got a "phantom" horse collar penalty on JA, so it all equals out in the end.......i don't hear anyone complaining when the penalties actually go our way. You can't have it both ways, fellas. -
Understood, however, the game ended the way it ended and no matter of *****ing and moaning from the fans, the outcome is real.......it can't be changed, so might as well accept it and move on.

Josh Allen, most total TD's in first 8 seasons.
Sweats replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall
My old man once said before he passed away......."we are witnessing a QB talent that we may never see again in the NFL". And he was right. Bills fans know what we have, even if the rest of the league doesn't appreciate it. Jim Kelly is one of my all-time favorite Bills players and i never thought or believed that i would ever see the day where a QB could even compete with what Kelly has accomplished in the past, but we are indeed witnessing a QB talent that we may never see again in the NFL. -
We'll let Miller walk in the offseason and find a solid replacement in the draft........we've got a lot of picks next year and some cap space to work with, so i'm confident that it'll work out for us.

Fire McD and Hire Belichek after we lose AGAIN in the playoffs
Sweats replied to JPL7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did we think we're KC and sliding into the playoffs with a near perfect record?.........you know, we're going to collect a few losses along the way. LA is still in the playoff hunt, and they wanted it more. It's as simple as that. Sure, the play calling was suspect, the D didn't even show up, the ST's was a mess, McD made some crucial mistakes, etc. but it's better to get it out of their system now before we hit the post season where it's a "one and done" format. Everybody just calm the **** down. -
............"don't make me look like **** in front of my woman"
-
This is by far the winner.........end thread.

All of this, "we could have won the game if only we had all 3 TO's left" nonsense really has to stop. Our D did nothing all day long, like absolutely nothing. They got shredded every chance LA had the ball and it wasn't even close, however, if we had 3TO's at the end of the game, we could have held them to a 3 and out and we were going to win?.........what the hell is wrong with you people?!? The better team won. The Rams wanted it more. McD ****ed up.......let it go. We couldn't stop LA all day long, but all of a sudden, we were going to hold them to a 3 and out. I guess its just that easy.......and McVay had no tricks up his sleeve either, i suppose. Wow ......just wow.

If someone gives you a holiday gift you don't like
Sweats replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
Just re-gift it to someone else........i do it all the time and in fact, there's still some godawful presents floating around out there from years ago. I re-gift it to someone, then they re-gift it to someone and it goes on and on and on and it gets to the point where no one knows where this ****** gift even came from anymore, just that no one wants it. -
As a lifelong Bills Mafia member, i used to get notifications from the FO all the time on my phone for everything Bills related........lately, i've gotten nothing. What's up with that?

Where was the defensive adjustment on Puka Nakua?
Sweats replied to 26TrapDraw's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought the officiating was rather respectable yesterday.......i mean, at times they were the only ones trying to stop the Rams O
