Joe Burrow and HC Zac Taylor get in a heated convo at end of game
Sweats replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
It could very well happen......there is a deep history there -
The thing about Brady is that when he was at LSU, he had a lot of weapons to work with and i think it translates to what the Bills are giving him this year........a run game (if they need it and to set up some play action), deep threats and slot receivers, throw some TE's into the mix, add some mis direction and some timing plays, a wildcard mobile QB and it all keeps D's on their toes cause no one knows what's coming next.

Week 16 - Patriots at Bills Game Week Thread (Game at 4:25pm ET)

UGH.......the "mini" GOAT comparison. The "Mac and Cheese" nickname was nauseating, along with his play. -

Maye was the one QB i didn't want coming to NE. He has a lot of tangibles, upside and coachable skill and if he ever gets a decent QB coach to teach him, we may have issues in the AFCEast. I believe that's a few years out though at this point, but he could be a problem if someone teaches him to put it all together. -

Well, the Pats are going to go 2 ways about this....... 1) throw the kitchen sink at the Bills and try to be the spoiler 2) throw nothing at the Bills, hope to preserve the health of their players and hope for better draft position So, in the end, while their fans are enjoying their fois gras in their pre-packed lunches, we'll be drinking beer, jumping through tables and beating the pants off the poor Pats (maybe yell a few obscenities at their fans for good measure). -
Moorman was the face of our franchise a number of years back.........those were dark times, my friend.........dark times.

Honestly, i don't pay much attention when any kicking is going on..........FG's and extra points is when i get up for a beer, piss break, etc.

Bills Pats Flexed to 4:30 Kickoff [December 22nd NOT Jan 5th ]
Sweats replied to Diggstheprocess's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably need a later start to fly in all of that crab, lobster, sushi and fois gras to the concession stands for them Pats fans. -
Earlier i said that today and right now as it stands, i have Smith as the absolute Bills standard, but i do believe that JA will have that title before his career is finished. I know for most of the country, people tune into to see what JA is going to do each week (us Bills fans already know what he can do), however, he still amazes everyone with his skill, his talent, his play, his improvisation, etc. We are definitely witnessing something with JA that none of us could have ever known was coming. He is a phenom and i don't discount that. I also believe that before his career is finished, he will absolutely go down as the best Bills player ever.
-
Today, i say Bruce Smith, however, at the end of his career here in Buffalo, it will indeed be JA.
-
I get it, man.......i really do, but to say that Bruce Smith never had the on-field presence as JA is just irresponsible and lazy. Bruce single handedly struck fear into opposing QB's, all from a 3-4 DE front and in today's standards, that's absurd to even think about. He single handedly took over games, opposed his will on teams and made them pay. The guy was constantly double teamed and even triple teamed and still made sacks.........think about that. There is no one into today's NFL who even comes close to who Bruce Smith was.

Onside Kick Wasn’t as Crazy as You Think
Sweats replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Down by 10 with 12 minutes to go and a 7% chance of making it doesn't really seem like a good idea to me, unless you're just admitting that you can't possibly stop JA and trying everything to get the ball back. .........seems a little desperate to me. -
I voted Bruuuuuuuce. The guy was a beast and if you've never seen him play, you've really missed out on a piece of Bills history cause he was so absolutely dominant at his position.

OC's..........love em or hate em?

Onside Kick Wasn’t as Crazy as You Think
Sweats replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Imagine your mindset with 12 minutes to play, down by 10 and you feel an onside kick is your best option?!?..........we were in their heads, and THIS is the mentality that i've been hoping for from the Bills since McD came in. -
And i can't argue. Our O dominated the Lions all game long, but i just think our D needs to be tightened up a bit. Our last 3 games should give McD and Babich a chance to straighten out the D before the post season. We weren't going to stop Detroit from scoring, but i believe if our D was playing better, we could have limited them to not having a nail biter at the end.

Onside Kick Wasn’t as Crazy as You Think
Sweats replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Lions just ran out of answers and options at that point cause they weren't going to stop our O and basically admitted defeat with the onside kick at 12 minutes to go........7% chance to make it and you still felt like that was your better option than to give JA any more time on the clock? After Hollins ran it down to within the 5-yard line, you could see the Lions players were dejected and beat. I mean, the last thing you want to do is give JA another opportunity with the ball on a short field. I can't slight Campbell for the call.......he was trying to ignite his team by creating a spark..........unfortunately, JA was the extinguisher. -
I don't know how to fix our D. I know when our Dline gets pressure on the QB, it creates havoc and TO opportunities for our secondary, however, the game plan was fairly adequate yesterday in holding the Lions run game to very minimal yards, but that opened up passing opportunities for Goff to pick us apart, so we basically picked our poison. I can't complain over the game plan, as we won the game, but i just feel that we could have tightened things up a bit in our secondary to limit the passing plays to minimal yardage.......that's all i'm saying.
-
Our D made the game a lot closer than it needed to be...........McD better tighten things up a bit for the post season.

Oh, you know all those threads will be starting soon.......
