  1. I think, when considered separately, each of whaley’s decisions were not horrible in the near term. The main issue i had (some of it 20 20, I admit) was the lack of vision that ties player personnel, their ability to play cohesively together and the coaching philosophy into a viable long term strategic outlook.
  2. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/platform/amp/2018/12/27/18155883/all-22-analysis-where-was-star-lotulelei-run-stuffing-defensive-tackle-vs-new-england-patriots I have been like a yo-yo when it comes to Star. First I thought he got fair money in his contract. Then during the first few games I believed we overpaid for him. Now, given his play of late, I am fine with his contract. Here’s All-22 analysis of Star vs. Pats. But he was underused a bit by Leslie, who was too focused on stopping Brady.
  3. Huh? Opposing view points by fans are a great feature of message boards but.... every once in a while there will be an exception. At least say why you think he is overrated - back it up with something. Even without considering any any stats - When your teammates want you on that wall and voted you captain, when your coach publicly lobbies to have you play one more year, when opposing coaches speak glowingly - these facts about KW95 should make someone pause before calling him overrated.
  4. Kyle is the best and deserves a royal sendoff. But please please don’t beat the Dolphins to win his final game. I’d rather have the higher draft pick?
  5. And those are just for passing. When you factor in Allen’s yardage on the ground, supporting cast (lack), intangibles ( the entire team responds to him) etc. , I would put him as the undisputed #2 rookie QB with a real shot at being the best of the 2018 draft class next season.
  6. For fellow posters saying “ Swearinger who?” https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl/players/dj-swearinger/7838 above average safety 2nd round 2013 pick outa s. Carolina had a funny pff moment earlier this season when pff used a pic of Ha Ha Clinton Dix on a tweet calling him the #1 safety of the week. Quite sure several teams put in waiver claims ( Bills shd have even with Jekyll and Hyde - sry that is what I call em ?) but Cards had 1st dibs.
  7. You are not alone there sir. I too thought he looked a lot shorter. Either 6' 2" is generous (he does look a tad shorter than Zay), or it maybe seeing him next to Allen, KB, Mills, Croom, Thomas etc.
  8. Hughes outside speed and moves are elite. Only issues as far as I can see is that the Olineman can push Hughes so wide that the QB gets rid of the ball before Hughes gets there. I have always believed Hughes should do an inside move just to keep the Olineman honest but he just does not do it often.
  9. Also depends upon the matchup. If you are going against a superior team in fantasy (based on past few weeks) pick players with more variance (Foster). With one 75 yard scoring grab he will count more than Thielen. If you have the dominant team, go with the sure thing.(Thielen).
  10. I’d go Foster. not crazy at all. Gilmore is a great lockdown one on one corner but the Pats are using him in zone a lot so there will be opportunities for a speedster. And Daboll has shown a willingness to go for broke. And strangely enough I think better of Foster in the open field than the red zone. Given our field position will suck against Belicheat, Foster is intriguing.
  11. one can trade down from a top 10 draft pick and get two good players, maybe:)
  12. Dammit. In 2 minds. On the one hand I want to kick some Patriot butt - but also want a higher draft pick.
  13. Here is PFF (nice 7 minute video) Here is cover1 https://www.cover1.net/josh-allen-dynamic-ability/
  14. That is our hope!! Make it happen Shady.
  15. I am sorry - I never said make or break for his career. IMO, it is make or break for whether he has anything left in his tank given the underwhelming season so far.
  16. He will be back, but can he be THE back?
  17. The Dolphins run defense has been abysmal this season. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=false&conference=null&role=OPP&offensiveStatisticCategory=null&defensiveStatisticCategory=RUSHING&season=2018&seasonType=REG&tabSeq=2&qualified=false&Submit=Go They are 4th in YPG and have given up 13 runs of 20+ yards. I think this game will tell us if Shady has anything left in his tank at all. If he lays an egg, it will be time to say g'bye. If he does rush well, at least we will have hope. It appears the run defense woes are primarily because they are so thin at the interior DL position (and they released JP 97, ha ha!). That means Shady should not dance around to the outside, but run north south between the D Linemen. Can he still do it?
  18. I always liked Nick. But it is understandable why they kept Logan over Nick. Logan can throw the ball. Nick cant. With our QB situation grim throughout the season following the AJM trade, McB didnt have the luxury of giving up on anyone who could throw the ball.
  19. Too early to tell. While Van der Esch has been good, Edmunds has not been too bad either. There is a difference between a 19 year old and a 22 year old as well. Actually OP - I would look at the same stats and come to the opposite conclusion. Zay was an established record setting college player while Juju was raw and just 19. It took Juju 8 games before he arrived on the scene with that 193 yard game. Till then his numbers were rather pedestrian. But now, there is no doubt Juju should have been taken ahead of Zay. Looks like the Bills' draftniks learned from the Zay experience and went with the raw unpolished freak over the established college player since they are looking to the future.
  20. https://www.thephinsider.com/2018/11/28/18114783/opposing-player-spotlight-week-13-buffalo-bills-josh-allen-quarterback-miami-dolphins I actually think pressure is where Allen does best. He has the pocket presence to sidestep the bull rush. He is not the most accurate thrower when given time. Every time Allen scrambles though, something magical appears to be waiting to happen.
  21. And Orchard Park is a particularly difficult field to kick FGs in. Would love to see stats adjusted for stadium - that will only make Haushka shine even more.
  22. The Guy has thrown for nearly 1500 yards 11 touchdowns (and 2 more rushing TDs) in 6 games and in 4-2 (one loss was that clown Rex's fault) against them. Something about playing Miami always bought out the best in Tyrod - he turns into Brady against them.
  23. Adoree Jackson is very fast indeed. They changed the angle after Miller hits top speed - so not 100% clear but Miller does seem to be maintaining the separation till he hits top speed.
  24. 1. Looks like Foster has another gear he did not even tap into 2. The closeout by Adoree Jackson was after Miller had hit his top speed and started slowing down 3. Indeed Davis is a freak!!
  25. No worries. With Allen, we ain't punting peeps.
