  1. Hey! Jets hiring Gase - at least they are hiring the guy that beat them - unlike us when we hired Rex from within the division.
  2. The logic is not foolproof. It is still possible that 2 college teams could have beaten the Bills the first 2 weeks of the season, no?
  3. But it all begins and ends with Luck's shoulder, no? Also, even if Luck is healthy - given all the assets - if they suck next year, FR may be out, no? And Daboll does so well at Buffalo next year that he is hired somewhere as HC. Then we can have BS and WW once again lobbying to have FR as our OC.
  4. He is a darn good coach and I am glad he will be in the NFC. A home run hire for TB.
  5. I actually like the Saints and Packers except when we play them. Really only hate the Pats and the Fins.
  6. Thanks OP. Very intriguing, but methinks this guy has NE written all over him.
  7. Sorry to be a negative Nancy, but I always thought Malik Jackson was more suited for a 3-4. Likely not a good fit for Frazier / McD defense. But I admit I did not watch him play much except for one or two Jags games (and he was not impressive in those - Tuhrod sacks notwithstanding). So I may be wrong.
  8. While this article makes a fair point about 1st year Refs, it still does not address the core issue of disparity. Bills, being a small market team, always get penalized more (unfairly) whether by veterans or by 1st year Refs.
  9. I always thought Wes Welker was an elite route runner with questionable hands. Even Gisele posted the catching issues about Welker. What we need for JA are sure hands (to catch those bullets and an advanced ability to make contested catches. I dont think JA will ever be a precise thrower like a Brees (and that is not too bad a thing). So I will pass on a Welker. Just my 2 bits. I dont know how reliable Renfrow is - but if he is like Welker, I will pass.
  10. Advanced stats notwithstanding, I would be skeptical of a website that lists Brock Osweiler as the closest comparison to JA.
  11. I don’t think Daboll and Culver are going anywhere- so I don’t see the Klingsbury coming discussionn staying only at TBD and not moving to OBD. Edit: had not updated. Just saw he is going to USC. A little surprised. Felt he would go the NFL route for sure.
  12. While Tre is among my favorite Bills, I do hope this off-season he practices going for and catching the ball at its highest point. Compared to his rookie season, saw some small chinks this time around. And he is too good not to overcome them. His ability to be in right place as well as recover quickly when beaten is already elite.
  13. Likely something innocuous. But you never know - when does the trade window open?
  14. Of course I remember him. I think he was the OL coach when Jauron / Gailey were HCs. I don’t think he was fired. After Gailey took over mid season, he left for The Steelers OL position. Thought he left for college - didn’t know he was the Denver OL coach. Though Lynch had 1000 yards with him twice, I felt he did not use him well enough. But he made Fred Jackson what he was - so all in all I felt good above him. I am all for hiring him. I mean he did outstandingly with Lindsay. Don’t blame Elway for not letting him interview. The guy is an OL specialist and every OL FA will want to play for him.
  15. Miami employed a 4-3 this past season. So if the dolphins hire Rex be prepared for a deja vu. He will probably sign Tuhrod as well. Jets were always his favorite team so if he joins the Jets - it will probably be the best for him (they used a 3-4 last year).
  16. When somebody Pees in TN, gotta mind their P's and Q's, else the Titans will want a Piece of them.
  17. re Khalil Mack comparison, Mack was 3 yrs younger when traded. So compensation should not be as high for a Miller trade. So definitely shdnt offer #9. That said there was hardly a drop off in Millefr's perf this season.
  18. I agree we should strive to get him since we have a small window with low QB MLB salary. We can afford him and he is a difference maker. That said I don’t want to part with a Khalil Mack type price and especially not the #9 pick. Would Jerry Hughes, a high 2nd and maybe a 4th get it done?
  19. To's case was way more complicated. TO was to become a free agent, but his agent forgot to file papers - SFO traded him to Baltimore for a second round pick after TO had negotiated a FA contract with the Eagles - finally a compromise was reached in arbitration - so not a fair comparison in terms of circumstances. In contrast, AB is under contract for three more years and has a 21 mill dead cap. That said, clearly the situation in Pittsburgh is untenable and I do fully expect him to be traded this offseason for a first rounder + change. Pittsburgh will get higher compensation than SFO got for TO for the above reasons. Oh he will report all right if he is not traded. He did report for the last game but Tomlin sent him home. He will not be like Bell - he wants his paycheck since he is signed long term to a fair deal. The only issue is can the Steelers keep him around knowing he wants out.
  20. https://247sports.com/nfl/pittsburgh-steelers/Article/Antonio-Brown-trade-value-127165123/ #9 & a young player appears to be asking price I will say No Mas!! to Tre, Tremaine or Levi. But Poyer is intriguing - clearly Bills wont trade for AB with Poyer on the roster (Rachel Bush saga), but maybe AB for Poyer + pick can be done. Of course, I love the Poyer Hyde safety duo and would be reluctant to break it up. Also, Poyer is on an amazingly team friendly contract through 2021. But an interesting thought none the less.
  21. Umm they “only” played 7 playoff teams, not 10. But that minor correction does not detract from your basic point which I concur with.
  22. The author is joking there Limeaid by arguing the running game had nothing to do with the Pats game.
