  1. OK just looking for football gouge?:) He is 3rd on the depth hart after Eli and Alex Tanney and I expect he will be cut if the Giants draft a QB in the first 3 rounds.
  2. Is this what you were looking for? https://patch.com/new-jersey/mahwah/giants-lauletta-pleads-guilty-disorderly-charge-report
  3. That is more than the haul the Bills got for the Mahomes trade with the Chiefs (where they moved from 10 to 27). Maybe 15, 46 and next year's second rounder would be closer to fair value + Qb premium.
  4. Ha!! Can we get him for our 2nd rounder with or without Poyer?
  5. Amazing how Mike Rodent has the uncanny ability to pick the one line in the entire interview that casts a shade:)
  6. Sorry to be a Negative Nancy but I have more faith in the Bills’ staff (Culver etc.) than Palmer. I would rather he practice at the Bills facility with Zay and Foster.
  7. Well it shd be BPA for the main part but with some need consideration thrown in. If BPA is a QB and you already hv a franchise QB and the BPA is not a major upgrade, you pass on him or trade down ( like Indy last draft). the basic idea is that if you rank someone as a top 10 talent and he is available at 16 AND it is an area of need, you grab him. That does not go against the philosophy of BPA. Bottomline is BPA is rarely one player - usually u pick from a group you rank as BPAs. Let us say it is round 3 and you a couple of players ranked as round one value - then you pick amongst them based on need. If you have only one, you pick him regardless of need ( like Harrison Phillips and Taron Johnson last year). BPA considerations become less important in rounds 5-7 where it is usually for need unless you have ranked someone with a significantly lower round value.
  8. McBeane have drafted heavily past 2 years based on stellar performances in this game. https://www.google.com/amp/s/247sports.com/college/michigan-state/LongFormArticle/2019-Senior-Bowl-rosters-127976360/Amp/ sry Yolo!
  9. That is why very few mocks go beyond the first few rounds in Jan - later rounds are used to fill bodies in places of need after FA.
  10. Besides Denver, NYG, Miami, Jacksonville, Washington and Arizona (for Murray), there are also rumors suggesting TB might part ways with Jameis WInston and the Raiders may want to move on from Derek Carr. That makes it 8 teams having some interest in drafting a QB. I think if Arizona drafts Murray at #1, all bets are off and we will definitely trade down. http://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=25727321
  11. I will disagree with you there. Dont think either Flacco or Tannehill will be attractive to any of the teams as a first option. These 4 might be objectively weaker than last year's big 4 - but that is not the point of my post. I only mean weaker in terms of draft position relative to last year. All I am saying is that teams might find them good enough to trade into the top 10 or 12 to get them.
  12. We have been constantly hearing 2019 will be a weak draft for QBs. But almost any mock I look at has four QBs going in the first round - Haskins, Jones, Murray and Lock. I remember Wentz / Goff were also projected to go later in the first but by the time the draft came round they went 1 and 2. A year later, teams drafting QBs in the first round (Trubisky, Mahomes!! and Watson) have come off well - despite mocks in January projecting these guys to be taken much later. And the rookies last year have done fine and re-energized their respective franchises. Given the recent positive experience with rookie QBs, I predict an early run on QBs this year too with Denver, NYG, Miami, Jacksonville & Washington (maybe Arizona too) all wanting QBs and it will likely take moving into the top 10 to get any of em. Dammit - why did we have to win that meaningless Miami game in Week 17? What does that mean for us? Trade Down Baby!! and get a WR, OL and DL in the first two rounds with an extra 1st or second next year.
  13. I understand the work YOLO and appreciate it. IMHO, it is the "most interesting" event for the Bills fans right now and I appreciate your searching and bringing it to us. All I am saying is that I cant wait for when the big Bills events at this time are the playoff games remaining.
  14. I can’t wait for the day when Shrine Meetups are NOT the primary Bills news event.
  15. If we don’t trade down, I would be happy to get him. He is no doubt a candidate for bpa which theoretically should be the primary criterion for #9. But this pick will test our drafting philosophy. Our needs are more on inside of the line. So if there is a better or comparable candidate at a different position (offense or defense), I would be equally happy. One thing going for him is that Daboll likely knows him well.
  16. Draft Position Roquan Smith 8 Tremaine Edmunds 16 Leighton Vander Esch 19 Darius Leonard 36 Fred Warner 70 PFF Grades Roquan Smith 67.4 Tremaine Edmunds 57.4 Leighton Vander Esch 85.6 Darius Leonard 81.8 Fred Warner 63.9 Age Roquan Smith 21.7 Tremaine Edmunds 20.7 Leighton Vander Esch 21.9 Darius Leonard 23.4 Fred Warner 22.1 I feel that TE's grades will be much better if we just look at the second half of the season.
  17. Great analysis OP. Thanks. I doubt any reasonable argument that Allen is good will ever be accepted by the national media. They are all heavily invested in the narrative that Allen is a bust.
  18. I thought you were asking who succeeded in becoming a head coach directly from being a position coach (in other words without becoming a coordinator) and I answered that Kitchens comes close to being such a case. It is possible you were asking for success as a head coach for such a person. Your wording was kinda ambiguous. Was only trying to help with an answer to a question you asked - maybe you didnt want an answer. My bad. Yolo already pointed out correctly that I was mistaken regarding A. Lynn.
  19. https://www.forbes.com/sites/billwilliamson/2019/01/07/teams-that-make-sense-to-trade-for-antonio-brown/#1518a7c25e12 Where the hell did that come from? What makes Pittsburgh so much more desirable than Buffalo? Why is that comment only for Buffalo and not for, say, Detroit? Per Forbes.com's own website (this is place for doing business ranking and not a livability ranking - but still are the two cities really that different (#94 vs. #101 - Detroit is #178)? 20. Freddie Kitchens comes close - started the season as RB coach. Same with Anthony Lynn.
  21. Mahones throwing to KB Andre Holmes and Zay Jones behind the Bills o line would have less than 20 TDS on the season and would not be the sensation he is. These writers are so stupid sometimes.
  22. No way we pick up the option. Mkt value at this time is a lot less. Maybe offer him a 3 yr 18 mill deal with about 12 guaranteed.
  23. Get ‘er done Beane! 1 year deal or two years with a reasonable out. Davis will be the perfect foil to our Keuchly and help him with the reads. Move Lorax to spell Shaq at DE and to ST when Davis gets many snaps. But do need to use Davis and Lorax judiciously and keep em fresh for late in the season.
  24. Don’t forget LVE. That said I can LIVE with an elite LB troika of RS, TE and LVE for years to come.
  25. Maybe he was only blocked from interviewing with AFC teams
