  1. I agree that if we dont trade down, we are going DT at #9 - Quinnen Williams or Ed Oliver with Jeffrey Simmons having an outside chance. If we trade down, we may go TE (Fant) in round 1 and hope to get Jeffrey Simmons, Christian Wilkins or Dre'Mont Jones at #40.
  2. It is not like we need the cap space. So I dont understand why we need to trade Hughes for a draft pick - unless we are trading for another elite edge rusher and we need to include him to complete the trade, Hughes should just stay where he is. That said, Hughes always does his outside move and is a bit predictable - so OT can just push him wide. I think if he just does an inside move once in a while, it will keep the OT honest and make Hughes more effective. There are very few linemen who can stop him one on one. I also like it that his penalties came down last season relative to McD's first year.
  3. I agree.Bills will get a TE aim the draft. Will likely go for Irv Smith or Noah since Kroft is a good blocker.
  4. I had a sixth sense all along that there was some kind of medical red flag.
  5. My first Who Dat? moment when this signing was announced. Had no idea such a player was around. But I am liking him more with every passing second.
  6. Compare the number of snaps played. CB only started 4 games. CB only 712 snaps to Zay Jones' 941. So he did more with less.
  7. 4 yrs 29 mill again a very reasonable deal. https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/dallas-cowboys/cowboys/2019/03/12/report-cole-beasley-moving-cowboys-agrees-deal-buffalo-bills?tab=conversation
  8. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BeasCo00.htm started only 4 games for Dallas - but in those limited opportunities had 65 catches and 10.3 yds per catch (even as a slot receiver).
  9. Aw man. Bummer! was looking forward to more Josh Allen flying moments twice a year.
  10. Deep threat. Had a good connection with Flacco - but nothing with Lamar Jackson I guess. Overall 3 yr 27 mill looks decent. reason why he spurned the Bills last year: http://www.espn.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/46890/john-browns-connection-with-joe-flacco-involves-late-brother
  11. He has speed. A little underwhelming in his career so far - but given our acute needs and the slim WR pickings out there in FA - not at all a bad signing. Can live with 9 mill per year for him.
  12. Always felt, if healthy, he was the best fit for McD's defense. At worst, he can spell Shaq Lawson on obvious passing downs. At his healthiest, he is a game changer. And he can be had for a decent price.
  13. Not. We have the better QB and we have the better coach. Yes he does clap a bit much but keeps a normal eye on the job.?
  14. I liked him too - but felt he was a better fit as a 3-4 OLB. Not enough game tape to evaluate how he would fare in McD's 4-3.
  15. Thanks OP. After the Foster / Wallace experience, wouldnt mind an all Bama Bills Draft:) I have had my eye on Quinnen Williams, Jonah Williams & Irv Smith for a while - but based on your post, late round picks Damien Harris, Mack Wilson and Ross Piershbacher can fit the Bills' needs well. You made my day by predicting Quinnen Williams being available at #9. The guy is a combination of Donald and McCoy and I saw him singlehandedly destroy LSU's OL.
  16. But there is a 2nd round tender on him no? Dont want to give up our second rounder AND pay this guy 10+ million
  17. Jax Fan new motto: In Foles we trust In Marrone to make him a bust!!
  18. Means we arent in the market for LeVeon Bell anymore? Levity aside, not as down on this signing as some of the others. After all, the guy has been relatively injury free and we did need to get RB depth.
  19. And just like that, the Pats got a third round comp pick next year. Dammit!!
  20. Ok 3 yr 30 mill more like it!! The other numbers were making my head spin.
  21. 3 year 10 m deal cant be right. Beane could have and should have doubled that. Good pass rushing replacement for Kyle and complements Lotuleilei.
  22. I would do it for our 2nd rounder instead of first ( and not get a pick back).
  23. For heaven's sake, the location likely had nothing to do with the deal falling through. It is quite clear AB wanted way more money to show up than the Bills were prepared to offer. Maybe some team has promised him a better deal to go with lower draft compensation paid to the Steelers. Which can explain his recent actions to make himself look unattractive.
  24. I like him a lot. He was a little green - I mean why disclose details of what you were willing to give for Josh Allen in the Broncos trade - others can use that info. With time he will talk a bit less - already he is demonstrating that: The AB stealth move was outstanding - when everyone thought the chances of Bills going after AB were nil. He almost pulled it off without anyone getting a whiff. Shefter must have been shi**ing bricks seeing the Rappaport tweet. His philosophy of building a program, his ability to be creative (notice the simultaneous Darby + Watkins trades which got us draft capital and at least, on paper filled WR and CB holes), his willingness to be bold - Dareus trade, pursue flashier options (AB) etc. all appeal to me. I also like it that he and McD are joined at the hip - that makes coching and front office both function like well oiled machines.
