  2. a. Bears are still in deep salary cap hell for the 2021 season making it unlikely they can improve significantly this offseason. b. They just drafted a rookie QB and should be in rebuild mode. c. Going into full rebuild is the only way Nagy can really save his job since they are unlikely to make the postseason with a rookie QB. d. Khalil Mack is rumored to be trying to sell his house!! e. After the Diggs restructure, Bills can easily absorb Mack's reasonable remaining salary by a further restructure and offering a couple of 2022 picks or trading Jerry Hughes and a conditional future first f. Post June, it appears Bears can absorb Mack's dead cap (they have over 45 mill in 2022 cap space and a rookie QB). This can be the move that puts the Bills defense over the top. Flame Away!! Edit: More than just a rumor. Ha! https://www.chicagotribune.com/real-estate/elite-street/ct-re-elite-street-khalil-mack-glencoe-20210527-ultfilqsyjdh7bhjohwnkwvifu-story.html
  3. TB returns 22 starters who won em the Superbowl. And the Bucs and Billls have both treaded water this off-season. Bills lost to KC last season - TWICE. At this point at least these two teams have more complete rosters. Clearly Beane is still not satisfied - why create additional cap room if you are satisfied with the roster?
  4. The trade up had to be for Rousseau after Jaelan Phillips and Kwity Paye were gone. They clearly targeted a DE and were so happy when the Saints took Payton Turner. Revealed Preference (their actual draft pick) puts Rousseau over all other D linemen.
  5. Of interest to the Bills: they did not rate Kwity Paye very high! Other than the Colts who took him, other teams appear to have been lukewarm on Kwity Paye. Jaelan Phillips was ranked really high. Rousseau and Basham - we dont know. FWIW, the Jags are known to be one of the better evaluators of DL talent though they have historically sucked at QB evaluation.
  6. 1. God given dancer’s talent + intelligence + constant devotion to practice have produced, arguably, the greatest back pedal in CB history. 2. Loved that film session but also hated it - don’t like a Bills player giving out his secrets.
  7. He will certainly make the All Interview team - is sincere and pleasant. but at this point, I just want him to be done with his media interviews already and get to work. I don’t think there is anything new coming from his interviews.
  8. Will happen eventually. You know your NOLA!
  9. Huh! Appalled by some of the comments. Clearly all these guys have done is go to NOLA and drink up, throw up and pee on the street:) I guess it is a rite of passage to go to NOLA and do that once. If you go outside the touristy places, it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. History, culture, music, fine dining, beautiful parks, unique festivals - you will find everything there. You will never find nicer people anywhere else. People will actually stop what they are doing and come up to help if they think it is needed. Walking on St. Charles next to streetcars with the mansions on the two sides will take you back a 100 years. Yes - one shouldnt stroll out alone outside the French Quarter after 11 pm - but that is stupid in any city. The only thing bad about NOLA is the condition of the roads (potholes everywhere) - so dont drive around in anything but an SUV if you are unfamiliar with the roads. And the Saints have the second best fan base in the world. They know football. Your Uber driver will likely know all about the Bills' 17 year drought and Josh Allen. You are gonna gave a great time OP!
  10. What part of my post says we are screwed or the NFL has something against us?
  11. Week 13 we play MNF and then play a relatively rested Brady on Sunday at TB. Cant catch a break even after he changes teams. Frustrated. Edit: Folks below are interpreting this as a comment about NFL being unfair to us. It is not. Where have I said league was catering to anyone? The post is about a disadvantage in one particular game. Yes, I am sick of every damn channel talking about 32-3! Maybe you are not. FWIW, I believe that Josh has a legit shot at beating Brady and wanted him to have a fair shot.
  12. those numbers dont mean much since a bunch of contracts are not guaranteed on the Bills. Off the top of my head we can save 7.5 mill by releasing Morse, 5 mill by releasing Klein and 4 mill each by releasing Star and Feliciano. Actually, Beane has been quite conservative and has not really kicked the cap woes down the road unlike Tampa Bay, KC etc. I am not even going to get into Beasley, Hyde, Poyer, Williams etc. who will all be a year older and may have to be replaced with cheaper rookies. Dont believe Beane's public comments - Bills are in decent shape cap wise till at least 2023 when Allen will have to be paid 40 mill plus. Hopefully the new TV contracts will make it smooth even then.
  13. Metcalf's 10.37 time is pretty lit for a 6'3" 230+ pounder. But y'all forget that Bills players have actually done even better. To my knowledge, Marquise Goodwin has run a 10.24 and that may not even be his fastest. I am also reasonably sure Chris Johnson or John Ross could best the 10.37.
  14. https://www.google.com/amp/s/billswire.usatoday.com/2020/01/22/buffalo-bills-brandon-beane-potential-coach-luke-kuechly/amp/ From last year
  15. You are right as usual. It is not very likely - but stranger things have happened. For heaven's sake, dont be a killjoy. Let us dream a bit.😀
  16. https://autos.yahoo.com/panthers-lb-luke-kuechly-resigns-230844674.html Beane and McD should be drawn to Keuchly like moths to a flame.
  17. Expected - I think Rapoport had an early scoop on this But I am a lil concerned with our friend @YoloinOhio . Sleeping on the job, eh? Or do you want to blame some stupid training?:)
  18. I think you are actually agreeing with my rewording lol
  19. Even in those games he then averaged 90 yds 2 Tds no? If he does well, the Bills will sure look stupid since this was their backyard talent (like the Dolphins would if Jaelan Phillips sucks). That being said, for the late rounders and UDFAs especially, we need to trust the Bills' evaluations. Beane has done decently so far. As a fan who watched some Patterson tape, he sure looked draftable - but maybe he was not an improvement over Antonio Williams - so had no chance of making the Bills roster. While the Bills do not have a home run hitter in the RB room yet (surprise me Motor and Moss), they do have depth with Breida and Williams - so as far as RB in the draft is concerned maybe the thought is - give me a clear upgrade or dont gimme anything - a philosophy that is logical.
  20. You are correct - I shd have reworded it as - The NFLPA will have strong incentives to fight it instead of "might have a case".
  21. This is such a load of crap. I think NFLPA might have a case against the Broncos' stance since the Broncos players were actively advised by the NFLPA to stay away from off-season workouts at the practice facility, no? https://www.si.com/nfl/2021/04/13/broncos-players-skip-offseason-workouts-covid-19-concerns
  22. There can actually be gains to a BUF - ATL trade for both teams. Clearly Atlanta does not value Hurst enough to guarantee 5 mill for next season. Despite being desperate for Defensive Line help, they did not draft a defensive lineman in the early rounds. And Hurst is not going to see as many snaps in ATL since one does not draft a TE at #4 (Pitts) and keep him off the field. We of course have a surplus at DE - there is no way we find playing time / roster spots for every one of Hughes, Epenesa, Rousseau, Basham, Johnson, & Addison. Why not trade Addison & Sweeney for Hurst? There can be some lower round sweeteners added but an Addison-Hurst swap will actually be a perfect trade for both teams.
  23. Helps fans plan their travel schedule, no? That said, NFL does make it more of a jamboree than necessary.
  24. Thanks. That was my point - I always felt he was a bit miscast in the Jets defense.
  25. Sorry, Breece Hall will be taken before we are on the clock picking at #32.
