  1. Through 10 played games the stats appear to be Player Tackles Sacks Donald 28 4 Cox 32 1 Atkins 16 3 McCoy 27 3 Oliver 28 5 Oliver is no doubt justifying his lofty pick status In view of the Jets Nation labeling Quinnen Williams a bust, here are his stats through 8 played games 23 Tackles and 1.5 sacks
  2. Just wanted to point out that the stats above are bogus. Not trying to call you out OP - after all you are only citing thedraftnetwork:) Through 8 games in his rookie season, Aaron Donald had 22 tackles and 3 sacks. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/16716/type/nfl/year/2014 Through 8 games in his rookie season, Fletcher Cox had 24 tackles and 0 sacks. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/14941/type/nfl/year/2014 Through 8 games in his rookie season, Geno Atkins had 12 tackles and 2.5 sacks. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/13311/type/nfl/year/2010 Through 8 games in his rookie season, Gerald McCoy had 21 tackles and 0 sacks. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/13240/type/nfl/year/2010 Through 8 games, Ed Oliver had 23 tackles and 2 sacks. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/4039303/ed-oliver Wrong stats nothwithstanding, Oliver's stats through 8 games are no doubt not that far from Geno Atkins and Aaron Donald and probably better than Fletcher Cox

  7. Here are the passing and rushing stats (does not include today's games) for 6 unquestioned QB starters on their teams this season. QB3 is Allen. QB5 is the clear outlier (Lamar Jackson). But I was kinda surprised at, as of now, how much better Allen is (in combined stats) compared to the rest (scroll down for the other 4 QB identities) QB Stats CMP ATT CMP% YDS AVG YDS/G LNG TD INT SACK SYL QBR RTG QB1 273 439 62.2 2,942 6.7 267.5 59 15 5 18 126 55.7 88.5 QB2 226 375 60.3 2,721 7.3 247.4 89 14 13 27 211 53 80.5 QB3 225 366 61.5 2,591 7.1 215.9 51 16 8 27 156 47.8 88.3 QB4 243 388 62.6 2,530 6.5 230 53 17 6 28 165 62.8 89.6 QB5 200 299 66.9 2,427 8.1 220.6 83 24 5 20 100 82 111.4 QB6 168 263 63.9 1,915 7.3 239.4 92 13 10 23 140 48.3 86.3 Rushing Stats POS GP ATT YDS AVG LNG BIG TD YDS/G FUM LST FD QB1 QB 11 17 -1 -0.1 2 0 3 -0.1 1 0 4 QB2 QB 11 17 82 4.8 18 0 2 7.5 2 0 8 QB3 QB 12 93 430 4.6 36 1 8 35.8 7 2 34 QB4 QB 11 45 188 4.2 19 0 1 17.1 2 2 16 QB5 QB 11 124 876 7.1 47 9 6 79.6 4 0 46 QB6 QB 8 20 38 1.9 24 1 2 4.8 1 0 4 QB1: Brady QB2: Mayfield QB3: Allen QB4: Wentz QB5: Jackson QB6: Darnold
  8. so great to hv banked the win and just watching for scouting reasons. almost everything this week is going swimmingly. 1. Ravens do not look unbeatable - and bills scouting shd be finding soft spots 2. Dolphins might win - screws up their tank and offers some hope they may beat Pats if the good Fitz shows up. 3. with the Jets tank already screwed up, nice to see Darnold and co lay an egg vs the winless Bengals. similar to miami bengals look way too decent to fold vs Pats (can we hope for a 10% chance of them beating the Pats) 4. Steelers beating the Browns makes no tiebreaker edge for the Browns - and steelers (our future opponent0 look anything but formidable 5. titans coming back against the colts makes our win somewhat important
  9. ya right Joe B. How do you explain why Von Miller thought Ford played great?
  10. kinda prefer flying under the radar beating teams we are supposed to beat and keep the fireworks for the playoffs
  11. no. Only about drafting him instead of Darius Leonard... Even there people forget Tremaine Edmunds is THREE years younger than Leonard.
  12. Everytime I read a post with the "Wed presser" title I think someone got married to presser
  13. Good. Bulletin board for the Cowboys. Now the question is - will they exploit it and get a W? Yup. I thought this too. And while we are at it, we will play the Ravens in week 14 on 10 days rest - can actually scout their week 13 game in detail. That is the game I have already started getting excited about. Most "pundits" have it as an L for the Bills - but I have high hopes.
  14. Maybe a small thing but beating the Bills 31-13 on the road has a way of sticking in voters' and fans' minds.
  15. While they have have a stout defense, the Broncos appear to be among the bottom feeders in takeaways. I think Allen shd continue to be "fearless" and Daboll shd consider making DiMarco and Smith inactive.
  16. Actually that context makes my point about how good John Brown has been even more salient no? If there is no credible #2 like in TB / Atlanta / Cleveland - defenses focus exclusively on stopping the WR1 in the passing game - and yet, Brown continues to produce game after game. That being said, i dont disagree with the statement that with a quality WR opposite, we could put more pressure on opponents.
  17. I dont think Michael Thomas was ever being seriously considered a possibility for the Bills:)
  18. To the doubters, here is a stat I have not seen talked about yet - how important a WR is to a team's total passing offense. Smoke is at 37+%. None of the others are even close. Only Michael Thomas is ahead at 44%. This guy is surefire Pro Bowl worthy and has an outside shot at All-Pro. 19. We have heard a bunch of names for Bills' WR1 even after Brown was signed. Here are the receiving stats through Week 11. Are any of the other guys a clear upgrade over JFB aka "Smoke"? Edit: He is not the 4th in receiving yards. He is 8th. The other 4 in the top 8 were not really talked about on the Bills Boards as possible Bills : Michael Thomas, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Amari Cooper Edit2: he is #1 in receiving yards in the AFC (thanks youngjebrey for pointing that out) Receiving Stats Through Week 11 GP REC TGTS YDS AVG TD LNG BIG YDS/G FUM LST YAC FD Julio JonesATL 10 59 91 882 14.9 4 54 13 88.2 1 0 230 46 Stefon DiggsMIN 11 46 65 880 19.1 5 66 16 80 4 3 273 30 Cooper KuppLAR 10 61 94 845 13.9 5 66 16 84.5 2 0 431 33 John BrownBUF 10 56 85 817 14.6 4 40 13 81.7 0 0 163 44 DeAndre HopkinsHOU 10 75 104 745 9.9 4 38 9 74.5 0 0 259 47 Odell Beckham Jr.CLE 10 48 89 692 14.4 1 89 10 69.2 0 0 255 28 Allen Robinson IICHI 10 57 86 633 11.1 3 33 8 63.3 0 0 146 34 Calvin RidleyATL 10 44 64 614 14 5 36 11 61.4 0 0 108 33 DeVante ParkerMIA 10 40 72 604 15.1 4 50 7 60.4 0 0 158 31 DK MetcalfSEA 10 35 64 595 17 5 54 10 59.5 2 2 185 23 Emmanuel SandersDEN/SF 11 46 67 561 12.2 4 53 8 51 0 0 176 29 JuJu Smith-SchusterPIT 10 38 60 524 13.8 3 76 7 52.4 1 1 219 20 Sammy WatkinsKC 8 40 65 512 12.8 3 68 7 64 2 1 248 21
  20. I think we should bring in Shane Ray (FA) for a workout. He was miscast in a 3-4 at both Denver and Baltimore and will likely do better in a 4-3. Former #23 overall pick from 2015 - so still relatively young. Otherwise, if Hughes's groin continues acting up, maybe sign Jachai Polite off the Rams' practice squad. I really liked him prior to the 2019 draft - though he appears to have been a bust with Greggo. Seattle signed him to their PS - but they did not have any openings for him.
  21. I think Bills should try him out but they likely wont. Has Pats or Dolphins written all over him for entirely different reasons.
  22. Thanks. Good to know that the way to win is not to just get playmakers on Offense (like the Browns did last offseason). A coach very familiar to this forum once said - "There's three parts to football: offense, defense, and special teams. You'd no more ignore special teams than you would offense or defense."
  23. Thanks for the post. You are right in assessing the validity of the probability assumptions since they are critical to the decision. That being said, if the probability of getting 4 yards on 1 play is just 10% (any offense at any level), you will never just have 4 downs to get 10 yards. That will be the death of football as we know it. This is just basic math.
  24. Coulda had McLaughlin and Gordon and maybe even Clowney
  25. In that case, the score before their touchdown would have been 16-13 and they would not have the urgency to go for a TD on their drive and settled for a FG making it 16-16. Basically I am giving you another reason for wishing their kicker had made that XP.
