  1. Nobody wants to play for Gase. It is his eyes I tell ya.
  2. with so many QBs changing teams and a few slated to be drafted in the first round, we will have choices for backup QB.
  3. sorry if it came across that way .. I am not against the shorter WR per se - just that we already have too many of them. I would have been all over him last year when our cupboard was bare.
  4. Clowney is NOT going to make 21 mill a year. Even if the AAV reaches that, the guarantees will be far far less. Ngakoue, on the other hand ....
  5. Better for us if we are going WR in the draft. Since it suggests a near certainty the Jets will try to take one of the 4 O-Linemen (likely the last of them will be available at 11).
  6. Excellent points Alpha. My two bits: 1.Just dont want to trade with 49ers .. they always get a lot out of their trades (which means the counterparty loses) - see Garoppolo, Buckner, swapping #2 and #3 with Chicago etc. 2. Why not trade with TB at #14 instead of Atlanta at #16? - Denver is taking a WR at #15.
  7. With Deforest Buckner trade, Indy clearly in a win now mode .. except.. Rivers may prove to be the weak link in the chain.
  8. That cannot be right. Must have missed counting next year's number 1 from Arizona. Talk about pennies on the dollar.
  9. You make two separate points: 1. Remember the feeling when Josh Allen had to leave the field after the hit by Jonathan Jones. By your logic, we should be active in the QB market as well. 2. Unlike the QB situation above - we do need at least two CBs on the field all the time. Likely you are not convinced Wallace / Norman will cut it and so would like Harris. That argument can be valid (I disagree but can see the logic).
  10. Cordy Glen might be brought back for depth. I dont think his trade was motivated by a need to get rid of him (maybe his contract a bit) - it was primarily to move up for a QB. He was the starting Tackle on a playoff drought breaking team for us.
  11. Great outcome whichever way this falls - comp pick if he goes, continuity and production if he stays. He did play well this past season - so I am still hoping for the latter. But it is unlikely that both he and Phillips re-sign.
  12. We will see where this goes - I still feel he can be had by the Bills for 4 year 38-42 mill after he tests the market. And, that was a classy, deep felt post that did endear him to me a bit more.
  13. And that was a move to juke Gilmore. Doubly sweet.
  14. He is great. But why? I thought we were set at CB with White, Wallace, Norman, T. Johnson, Neal etc.
  15. Stefanski likes two TE sets. I think the Browns plan to use both Njoku and Hooper. Eric Ebron is still a very viable plan B for us folks.
  16. I too wanted Hooper and wouldnt have minded paying top dollar for him. But, with the Kroft restructure, at least we will be competitive at that position with Knox, Kroft, Sweeney and Croom. The Bills likely saw what it would take to get Hooper and that is why they quietly restructured Kroft. This off-season should just be about Knox catching 500 laser thrown balls everyday - we have to understand that Knox came to the team very underutilized in college.
  17. I'd offer this year's first and next year's 2nd to get Hopkins.
  18. 2 yr 16 mill was too rich for us.. especially with so many LB free agents out there. I would even add 3 mill per year to Kirksey's deal and be happy with Littleton at 11 mill AAV.
  19. i kinda agree. why lose the option on next year in case he does well
  20. this appears to be a steal folks. i thought he might go for 7-8 mill per year.
  21. Simpson completely neutralized Quinnen Williams in last year's championship game. But .. he was not so good at the Senior bowl. So which Simpson will we get? I dont mind using a 4th rounder on him at all. Can probably fill in for Spain.
  22. 1. Old news - this is from Feb 2019 2. I love it when Bills show up on ranking lists for positive things ... but 3. Tells you how PFF stats can be flawed - I think something counts as a pressure if the Dlineman beats the blocker within 2.5 seconds. Huh? Hughes can beat the blocker in 1 second if goes real wide, no? That has been the only problem with Hughes over the years - He will always go outside. The Olineman will never care that he is beaten so long as Hughes is far away from the QB. Dont mistake me - I think Hughes is great. If only Hughes were to use his inside move a lil more frequently to keep the lineman honest - that can lead to a lot more effective pressures and sacks. Just my two bits.
  23. yay! I like this signing. Norman had his best years under McD.
  24. huh? Confused by that post. Are you saying Duke didnt play the slot in 2019? Or are you saying Beasley doesnt play the slot?
