  1. I hate it that the Bills have to play a rested opponent. That being said, the Titans prep with closed facilities has not been optimal. And big picture - I would like to make sure the season goes forward - dont want a bunch of Steelers coming down with Covid and that leading to a spate of cancellations.
  2. The way this thing spreads - I am still concerned the Bills players will catch something after playing the Titans.
  3. Titans will be on a short week and Bills will be able to create schemes specific to the Titans after seeing them play Monday or Tuesday. And I think the Raiders' record is a bit inflated. But time will tell.
  4. Summary 1. Our Offense rocks! - Allen, Daboll's schemes, our WRs and Singletary. 2. Our Defense sucks! - Star opt out, injuries, schemes, gap integrity, tackling, new call ups. 3. ST! - Jury still out. Roberts, Bojo, coverage nice, Bass something to prove Continue with the first. Fix the second.
  5. Hey Peterman was good at giving it to the wrong people.
  6. can’t take a chance. suspend the players from playing the next game.
  7. Yes the Rams came out of the locker room and attacked the 4-2-5 defensive scheme. A guy like Keuchly knows when to attack and when to cover but quite often Edmunds was wrongfooted. And Taron Johnson as the 5th back was stretched thin. Ideally we need a safety / LB hybrid like a Jabrill Peppers to go with a 4-2-4 alignment. Since we don’t have that, we will likely settle for the front four rushing a bit less and maintaining gap integrity, Edmunds having only coverage responsibility and someone else (Dodson?) will be a spy on the Henderson / Woods type rusher.
  8. Thanks. Excellent piece. Was worth the wait. You were maybe a bit too kind to the Defense there. But I agree one can be magnanimous when coming off a win.
  9. Rodgers still higher than Allen. Also Baker, Murray and Brees (not anymore) not top 10 on my list. Add Prescott, Stafford and Ryan / Burrow instead. Jackson lower - maybe #10. Burrow has looked really good.
  10. And there lies the problem with statistics. Most QBs with 52% accuracy do not have offensive coach continuity. And those QB’s did not have the unbelievable improvement in personnel. We have gone from Foster, Benjamin and Jones to Brown, Beasley and Duke to Diggs, Brown, Beasley and Davis. You put me in there and I will show a 20% improvement (from zero to 20 ha ha) just moving from Zay to Diggs. 3 games with 100 plus passes is a good enough sample to draw conclusions from. So long as our WR core remains healthy, Allen is gonna have the weapons to complete passes. 3 of our wideouts can win one on one matches and all 4 can separate. Defenses have to pick their poison.
  11. Our receivers and OC had something to do with it as well:) but no doubt it is the Allen bandwagon.
  12. After the second half gashing from the Rams, I predicted the coaches will be talking about Gap Integrity from the front 7 all week. Here is Frazier this morning: https://billswire.usatoday.com/2020/09/29/buffalo-bills-defensive-struggles-los-angeles-rams-sean-mcdermott/ The good news is that this is a fixable problem - and, more importantly, McD has faced the issue before (first 2 games of the 2018 season). And they came back and pitched a near shutout of the Vikings in week 3 after harping about Gap Integrity all week. FYI that was the Allen hurdle game. Boy - it is always so sweet talking about fixing things coming off a win, doesn’t it? Ya we got the win but it makes me excited to think we are nowhere close to the ceiling. Another FYI down memory lane regarding Edmunds’ Week 2 struggles with RBs in 2018 - of course we fixed them in game 3. https://www.cover1.net/tremaine-edmunds-buffalo-bills-nfl-chargers/
  13. This the QB face mask penalty I remember but after seeing Allen’s face mask penalty looks rather tame Mahomes also got one against the Pats last year
  14. And Jackson’s shortcomings were badly exposed in the MNF game today. A few more games like week 3 and we will be saying the 2018 QB redraft order should be 1. Allen 2. Jackson 3. Mayfield 4. Darnold 5. Wrong Josh.
  15. Beautifully written. You have the gift. Probably your best till date. But very offense centric. What about our defense? Lane Integrity? Bojo punt? Also nothing on the PI? Maybe the game needs a second write up (RR2) to cover all the other stuff.
  16. This was a play Allen and Beasley has practiced a lot. And it led to the completion that kept the game alive for the Bills and was IMO was THE play of the game. Beas runs the route perfectly. But do also check out Diggs’ route. He too finds a soft spot in the zone and may have been open even more (Troy Hill - #22 for Rams) is in the middle but Diggs has enough of a cushion and could have made a play on a perfectly thrown ball and he was at the marker. More importantly he is the guy that draws #22 and #43 (Johnson) away from Beasley. And even Tyler Kroft coulda given the Bills 15 yards there making it a manageable 4th down.
  17. no need to put a brake on his career. Win the championship for the Bills with Allen this season - then move to a HC gig elsewhere. Everyone gets what they want.
  18. He is a baller. He will do what it takes to win. When the rubber hits the road, it feels good to have Allen holding the reins. 8 comeback wins in 30 odd starts is nothing to sneer at.
  19. Why not? He wouldn’t cost much and will be an upgrade on those inside runs.
  20. Just to add to this wonderful post - Gabe Davis’ effort can be seen on several plays the past 3 games. Seems like every time Allen is scrambling, Davis keeps working against the DB to get open - that effort is what is earning him targets. Of course it doesn’t hurt that, besides max effort, he does run precise routes and has great hands. Glad Beane drafted him - FWIW, I was against us drafting a WR after getting Diggs.
  21. no just 3:) it came with the score 28-10. But seriously that was a critical call that put the wind in the Rams’ sails. Till then the Bills offense was doing well.
  22. Passer rating with INT 128.91 Passer rating without INT 141+
  23. I agree. And even if the NFL does admit to the error - I doubt if the non Bills media will even take note. Already the narrative is that Rams lose on a controversial last minute PI and were robbed. And they forget The Rams have been the biggest beneficiaries of PI calls and non calls over the years. Just ask Saints fans and the Cowboy fans about week 1.
  24. Passer rating without that INT is 141. The past 2 games have no doubt not been as great as Tre’s past 3 years. But the nice thing about Tre is that he is great even when 80%. The problem today was not on the DBs. It was all the front 7.
