I want to root against KC since I feel it will come down to us vs them for the top seed in the AFC - but want to tie up the Division win ASAP which will be helped by.a NE loss. ‘Given the Cam Covid situation, I feel we can handle NE and with two games against them we control our destiny - so maybe root for a KC loss (sorry can’t even call it the opponent’s win) since we have only one game with them. Maybe a tie will serve us best.

I agree. But I have begun to realize that it is not too bad. That never say die spirit is what makes Allen great. I don’t think a single teammate will begrudge him that play. I mean the play he got hit where he is going down and he flips the ball to Diggs for a near FD to me personifies Allen - and that is why his teammates will always follow him.

The article makes one mistake that I have seen others make - it says the Bills saw Allen as a composite of 2 MVPs (Mahomes and Newton) and one near MVP (Wentz). But Mahomes had just started one meaningless game for the Chiefs when the Bills took Allen. He was MVP only in Allen’s rookie season. So the Bills or any other team did not know of Mahomes’ success when picking the 2018 QB in the draft.

yes most likely. i read somewhere that the Saints are awaiting a retest (likely PCR) for Burton as well - so there is a small chance this is a false alarm.

Technically, the comparison be Edmunds and White vs Mahomes in terms of trade compensation. That being said, I am happy with what we have in JA. Not sure if we were as set at each position as the Chiefs. So not sure Mahomes woulda won a C’ship here already. But .. Mahomes man!! He is special no doubt. Isnt that what I said? Maybe I was not clear. Record (10 wins, 12 wins, 14 wins etc.) matters for a. getting into playoffs; b. top 4 seed for home field; and c. Top seed for bye, no? When we are undefeated and have two of the other three undefeated teams in the conference on the schedule, we do largely control our own destiny.

Actually, looking closely - Tre's deal is not that much of a steal for us relative to Humphrey (It is a steal relative to Ramsey no doubt). Tre got 55 mill guaranteed, Humphrey only appears to be getting 37 mill guaranteed. So we should back off calling for Tre to change agents:) Am I missing something? Edit: This tweet suggests he is getting 66 mill guaranteed. But does it include the 5th year option or not? If it does, then the deals for Tre and Humphrey appear identical - if not, then we did get a steal.

That is the advantage of going in early (with 2 full years left). We got Tre at a 10 mill discount (4 yr 69 mill instead of something like 4 yr. 79 mill). So long as Tre is healthy and continues playing at a high level, he will still get close to the numbers Humphrey is getting - that extra year - there is a good chance Top CB salaries are 25 mill +. In the meanwhile, the Bills still have Tre for 6 years and their risk is decidedly lower than the Ravens'. WTG Beane.
