  1. I am excited when Bills players win hardware. You aren’t? you appear to think they are mutually exclusive Off hand I can think of 3 - Kurt Warner, Steve Young and Emmitt Smith Edit: It is quite common - has happened 10 times before - though not during the Patriots dominance era - which likely made you think they were mutually exclusive https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Associated_Press_NFL_Most_Valuable_Player_Award
  2. I have not yet looked up 2020 stats - but INTS and Dropprd INTs track reasonably well. Here are the 2019 stats - only one high volume QB - Carson Wentz - had more dropped INTs than INTs - Allen was 9 INTS to 3 Dropped INTs last year - so Mahomes’ 6 INTs and 16 Dropped INTs is incredibly lucky!!! https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2020/adjusted-interceptions-2019 fair point about the need for a bench mark - see 2019 stats in the link here https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2020/adjusted-interceptions-2019
  3. Watching his game against the Falcons, I could not believe his luck with two sure interceptions floored. So I google “Mahomes dropped interceptions” and whoa - here is what I find (16 dropped INTs on the season!!!) https://www.newsbreak.com/news/2134267854748/patrick-mahomes-sets-ignominious-nfl-record And Allen has had just the opposite - with INTs being called on catches made by TEs. PS: This is not to piss on Mahomes, who is an otherworldly talent - but the article does show that Mahomes’ stats are a wee bit inflated. Several dropped INT drives have ended in TDs thrown by Mahomes (like today). Hope MVP voters see this and take it into account.
  4. Merry Christmas. gift for everyone on the board is a piece of jewelry that has been ordered and will be delivered on Feb 7 2021
  5. https://www.boston.com/sports/new-england-patriots/2020/12/22/bills-fan-billboard-foxborough-gillette-stadium Guess it is one way to get closure after two decades of futility. Do it once - then move on and dont give the Pats another thought.
  6. i remember watching him make plays all over the field against a Tulane team in a low scoring game - just was a tackling machine
  7. and yet .. on ST coverage he is usually the first guy reaching the returner and making the tackle - just has a nose for the ball and takes great angles and knows how to avoid blocks
  8. so you pick 2.! FWIW, I agree. the AFCE has appeared inevitable the whole season - but beating yolo to the punch? that is sthing.
  9. which was more significant? 1. Today Bills clinched AFCE after 25 years 2. you pipped Yolo in posting the Diggs status
  10. oh I didn’t mean any offense to #12. just the opposite to show how good Allen has been to reach 4000 yards with 2 games to play as far as Bills stats are concerned
  11. FWIW, that was just the second 4000 yd season in Bills history. Even the great Kelly never had one. Just a testimony to his season long dominance.
  12. Allen’ s MVP caliber season continues 70% Completion 4 Total TDs And let me be the first to note Allen reaches 4000 yds for the season - exactly at 4000! And had his longest completion of the season - 55 yd bomb to Diggs
  13. And that last pass by Allen takes him to 4000 yds for the season!!
  14. playing Allen Bass and Bills D /ST this week in fantasy - that play was worth 10 points - sack, FR, TD, XP
  15. for those who dont know who he is from buffalobills.com
  16. I havent yet lost hope on a bye (ya ya it is 1-2% probability) - so I'm going to root for Steelers over the Bengals - only if the Steelers win 2 out a 3, we win 3 and the Chiefs win 1 will we have a three way tie for the bye (which we will win). Would be happy to root against the Steelers Week 16 onwards if KC beats Saints in week 15 (then the probability for a bye even with our win over the Broncos becomes a small fraction of 1%).
  17. Sure you want the Colts with Rivers at Bills Stadium? Here was his line at the Ralph the last time he was here: C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT SACKS QBR RTG Philip Rivers 23/27 256 9.5 3 0 2-16 95.5 143.2 TEAM 23/27 240 9.5 3 0 2-16 -- 143.2
  18. Just too bad that he does not give the refs too many chances to rule in his favor. So all the schmoozing is kinda for nothing. He is so good QBs rarely go at him. Now maybe he should teach the young padawan Levi Wallace some of these schmoozing tricks.
  19. Every QB will play better on average outside Bills Stadium than in Bills Stadium (due to the weather). You do bring up a good question and my answer is "It Depends" If the opposing QB is going to be more adversely affected by Buffalo weather than Allen, play the game at Bills Stadium. If it is the opposite, playing on the road may be better for us. In other words, it is a relative, not absolute thing
